Natchitoches (pronounced Nak-a-dish) is a small city in northwestern Louisiana (pop. 18k). I've never actually been there but I've got lots of friends who have. Thanks to everyone who contributed to this video (see the credits at the end)! It was lots of fun to make with y'all!

I asked her how her restaurant’s been

No there’s nothing like that around here,
And everything’s gluten-free!
She said, “Boy, quit complainin and get yourself down here!
I'll pick you up a meat pie or three.”
Then I called cousin Eddie
Cause I was kinda still depressed.
I asked him if the lights are ready
For the Natchitoches Christmas fest.
He said, “Man it’s all so pretty!
The Christmas parade's gonna be fine!
And if you leave tomorrow before six thirty,
You’ll probably get here in time.”
So here I am passing semis
On interstate thirty five
I’ve been southbound since the sunrise
And I’m already feelin more alive
Cause it’s goodbye fast-and-proud-life!
