A quick look at the Air Museum located at Trenton, Ontario Canada. RCAF members especially, will see a lot of memories come back again, some sad, some more pleasant. A lot of work has gone into this display, well worth an afternoon's visit.

National Air Force Museum of Canada, Trenton, Ontario
The National Air Force Museum of Canada, formerly known as the RCAF Memorial Museum, is an aviation museum dedicated to preserving the history of the Royal Canadian Air Force (RCAF) and is located on the west side of CFB Trenton in Trenton, Ontario. Opened April 1, 1984 on the 60th anniversary of the establishment of the RCAF, it is home to a large collection of RCAF aircraft and artifacts.

As Canadas National Air Force Museum, we are very proud of having the capability of showing to Canadians our large collection of artifacts that are presently on display. These include 25 aircraft in our airpark, and of course, the magnificent restoration of our World War Two Halifax Bomber, the showpiece of our museum. film by Thierry Damilano
National Air Force Museum of Canada
The National Air Force Museum of Canada has been acquiring aircraft and artifacts since its inception in 1984.
Most of the aircraft have been flown by Canada's Air Force, past and present.
One highlight of the collection is a completely rebuilt Hadley-Page Halifax bomber. This plane was shot down in April 1945 and crashed into a lake in Norway. In 1994 the aircraft was recovered from the lake and shipped to the museum in Trenton. It has been restored to its original condition with the help of over 100 volunteers. This is the only Halifax aircraft in North America.

I love looking at airplanes and Canada's military history partially because my family lived on a military base. Also because it's cool!!
I Went Out Today to the National Air Force Museum of Canada at CFB Trenton, Ontario. It features aircrafts and artefacts. The history on display is always interesting, plus there are dozens of military jets that you can get a close look at.
I Went Out Today is a weekly web series from Canadian Screen Award winning broadcaster Dan Reynish (CBC, Out & About, The Couch Potato Report). It features the places, things and people around North America Dan leaves his apartment to go and see.

Memorial Visit to Trenton Canadian Air Force Museum
Another wonderful location to visit in the Bay of Quinte Region is the Trenton Air Force Museum. All is well with Ellie and the cats, it was just a month ago on June 1st that Mom's Dad passed away, just a week after Max and today she wanted to post a few videos of our time in Canada . It was Grandpa's request that we enjoy the tour as a family and after he passed away, our family went for to visit the Museum. Grandpa's home is directly across from the Air Force Base. It isvery interesting Museum with both indoor and outdoor exhibits for visitors of all ages and from all countries. Our family of five visiting was Canadian, American, Austrian and Romanian and French!

This is one of only 3 Halifax Bombers remaining from some 6,000+ produced.
My father flew as navigator in one of these in WWII. He was part of 644 squadron and this plane was also assigned t 644 squadron
