National Museum of Bhutan
National Museum of Bhutan is a cultural museum
in the town of Paro in western Bhutan.
Established in 1968, in the renovated ancient Ta-dzong building,
above Rinpung Dzong under the command of His Majesty,
the King Jigme Dorji Wangchuck, the third hereditary Monarch of Bhutan.
The necessary infrastructure was created
to house some of the finest specimens of Bhutanese art,
including masterpieces of bronze statues and paintings.
Suitable galleries were constructed to house the extensive collections.
Works of art were elegantly displayed on scientific lines.
Today the National Museum has in its possession over
3,000 works of Bhutanese art,
covering more than 1,500 years of Bhutan's cultural heritage.
Its rich holdings of various creative traditions and disciplines,
represent a remarkable blend of the past with the present
and is a major attraction for local and foreign visitors.

The National Museum is the pride of Bhutan. Flaunting art and traditions, it has six floors, each of them narrating a unique tale from past. You can see paintings, art pieces, animal masks and many more facets of the rich culture. Constructed in 1649 as a watchtower against Tibetan soldiers, it was converted to the National Museum in 1968, preserving the rich history of Bhutan within its walls ever since.
A paradise for history lovers and the ideal place for those who have a keen interest in gaining more information about Bhutan, National Museum in Paro is where history meets the present. Perched above Paro Dzong, it houses all the important artefacts and belongings from the past. The conservation of the historical objects, inscriptions and artefacts are necessary to keep the future generations updated about the history of the nation.

Ringpung Dzong (Paro Dzong) and Ta Dzong (National Museum)
Rinpung Dzong (also known as Paro Dzong) was builit in 1646 by Shabdrung Ngawang Namgyal, the then ruler of Bhutan. The approach to the Dzong is through a traditional covered bridge called Nemi Zam. The dzong is a massive fortress. The Dzong houses the monastic bodies and many important offices of Paro, like that of the judge. However, the dzong is open to the visitors and allowed for photography. The design and architecture is wonderful. There is a beautiful Lhakhang inside the dzong. Some films like Little Buddha were filmed in and around this dzong.
Ta Dzong (or Bhutan National Museum) is located above Ringpung Dzong. You may go by road or climb through a short cut route through the mountain. The entry fee for Ta dsong is 10 nu for locals, 50 nu for SAARC and 200 nu for outside tourists. Photography not allowed inside museum. As the dzong is located at great height, the whole paro town is clearly visible from here. The views of himalayan mountains and the river paro chu are magnificent from here.

জনসংখ্যা অত্যান্ত কম। এর জনসংখ্যা মাত্র সাড়ে সাত লাখ। ভূখণ্ড ৩৮ হাজার ৩৬৪ বর্গ কিলোমিটার। প্রধান ভাষা জঙ্ঘা। রাষ্ট্রধর্ম বৌদ্ধ। এ ছাড়া হিন্দু ধর্মও রয়েছে। গড় আয়ু পুরুষের ৬৬ বছর এবং নারীর ৭০ বছর। রপ্তানিযোগ্য পণ্য হলো হাইড্রোলিক পাওয়ারের মাধ্যমে ভারতে বিদ্যুৎ সরবরাহ, কাঠ, সিমেন্ট, কৃষিপণ্য এবং হস্তশিল্প। দেশটির ৬০ শতাংশজুড়ে বনভূমি।
ভুটানের তরুণ প্রজন্ম এবং জনসংখ্যার অধিকাংশ সোশাল মিডিয়াকে ব্যাপকভাবে গ্রহণ । রাজনীতি নিয়ে অনেক খোলামেলা আলোচনা হয়ে থাকে। বিছিন্ন মনোভাব থাকলেও কিছু আন্তর্জাতিক ইস্যুতে তারা যথেষ্ট এগিয়ে। যেমন- ১৯৯৯ সাল থেকে পলিথিন নিষিদ্ধ করা হয়। তা ছাড়া তামাক সেখানে পুরোপুরি অবৈধ। তবে মদ খোলামেলা ভাবে এবং সব জাগায় পাওয়া যায়।
দারুণ সুন্দর পর্যটন অঞ্চল এবং মনোমুগ্ধকর সংস্কৃতিতে পূর্ণ দেশটিতে ১৯৭০-এর দশকে প্রথমবার বিদেশ পর্যটকদের প্রবেশে অনুমতি দেওয়া হয়। পর্যটনকে ব্যাপকহারে ছড়িয়ে দিতে ভুটানে গড়ে উঠেছে অসংখ্যা উন্নতমানের হোটেল ও রির্সোট।ভুটান সরকারের রয়েছে আন্তরিক প্রচেষ্ঠা।
জনগণের বস্ত্গত ও মানসিক শান্তিই ভুটান সরকারের মূল লক্ষ। তাই অধিকাংশ ভুটানবাসী তাদের জীবন নিয়ে সুখী। জনগণ দেশের রাজাকে দারুণ ভাবে ভালোবাসে।
পারো
পারো একটি ছোট শহর। সৌন্দর্যের দিক থেকে পারো থিম্পু এবং পুনাখার চাইতে কোন অংশে কম না। এই শহরেই ওদের একমাত্র আন্তর্জাতিক এয়ারপোর্ট আছে। থিম্পু থেকে আসার পথে অনেক সুন্দর সুন্দর জায়গা আছে যা না দেখলেই নয়। পারো বনর্ণা দিতে হলে প্রতমেই বলতে হবে টাইগার নেষ্ট (তাকসিং)। তাছাড়া আছে পারো জং এবং ন্যাশনাল মিউজিয়াম।
পারে জং এবং ন্যাশনাল মিউজিয়াম রাতের বেলায় এতো সুন্দর দেখায় না দেখলে বুঝানো যাবে না।

Paro is a town and seat of Paro District in the Paro Valley of Bhutan. It is home to Paro Airport, Bhutan's only international airport.
Along the main street there is a complex of traditional architecture with richly decorated buildings housing small shops, institutions and restaurants.Rinpung Dzong a fortress-monastery overlooking the Paro valley has a long history. A monastery was first built on the site by Padma Sambhava at the beginning of the tenth century, but it wasn't until 1644 that Ngawang Namgyal built a larger monastery on the old foundations, and for centuries this imposing five storey building served as an effective defence against numerous invasion attempts by the Tibetans.
Built with stones instead of clay, the Dzong was named Rinpung, meaning heaps of jewels but Rinpung and all its treasures were destroyed by the fire in 1907. Only one thangka, known as Thongdel, was saved. The Paro Dzong was rebuilt by the penlop dawa Penjor after the fire. Housed within its walls is a collection of sacred masks and costumes. Some date back several centuries; others were contributed by Dawa Penjor and his successor Penlop Tshering Penjor in recent times.
On the hill above the Dzong stands an ancient watchtower called Ta Dzong which since 1967, has been the National Museum of Bhutan. Across a medieval bridge below the Dzong stands the Ugyenpelri Palace, a royal residence constructed by penlop Tshering Penjor.
Mayor of the town is Moritz Duevel. The position is given to the winner of the annual Qui Dong competition; Duevel is in his third legislative period.

Paro at a Glance - Bhutan
Bhutan’s lone international Airport is at Paro where tourists arrive by Drukair flights. The city boasts of captivating Paro Dzong with festivities in month of March bringing into focus the traditional music and dances enacted in presence of local and tourists ( that will be part of another video ). The Bhutan’s National Museum is located at Paro which is a must see for all albeit without any photo shooting being allowed inside. The Paro valley view from Museum location is magnificent. On Paro main street one has wide choice of Hotels, restaurants, curio shops and commercial establishments. During Paro festivities it is worthwhile shopping at a make-shift stalls located on a ground below Paro Dzong.

Tower of Trongsa Museum in Bhutan
Ta Dzong is located strategically above the Trongsa Dzong on the left bank of the Mangde River. It is a short, steep walk from the main Trongsa town. A road now also makes Ta Dzong accessible from behind. The building is a massive circular five-storey tower flanked by two lower towers. Two smaller, free-standing towers are below the main building.
