National Museum of Emerging Science and Innovation
Miraikan was established to exhibit the newest science and technology in 2001.
Exhibits
Highlights include real-time displays of data from a huge array of seismometers across Japan which shows the country gently vibrating. The occasional earthquakes for which Japan is noted show up as larger movements. Visitors can search the on-line database of recent earthquake activity.
A section of rock core taken across the Cretaceous?Paleogene boundary (K?T boundary) records a major meteorite impact event that is believed to have led to the final demise of the dinosaurs. Asimo, the Honda robot is one of the star attractions along with the model maglev train.
Geo Cosmos
The prominent Geo-Cosmos high resolution globe displays near real-time events of global weather patterns, ocean temperatures and vegetation cover among other geographic, scientific and socioeconomic topics. The Geo-Cosmos spherical screen consists of 10,362 OLED panels, each 96 x96 millimeter in size. The first and only one of its kind was rebuilt in 2010 and re-introduced in its current form in June 2011, after the Tohoku earthquake caused the museum to close for three months. US President Barack Obama visited Miraikan on April 24, 2014, addressing Japanese students in front of the Geo-Cosmos display. Noting the uniqueness of the display, he said: As far as I know, we don't have one of those cool globes.
The Geo-Cosmos along with Geo-Palette and Geo-Scope is part of the Tsunagari permanent exhibition.
Geo-Palette
Miraikan adopted a unique map projection called AuthaGraph projection as its official world mapping tool. AuthaGraph projection was developed by Japanese architect Hajime Narukawa in 1999. This projection method transfers a 3-dimentional sphere into a 2-dimensional rectangle while maintaining areas proportions. Using this method, the 'AuthaGraph world map' succeeds in transferring an image of the spherical Earth to a flat surface while evenly distributing distortion.

Museum of Contemporary Art, Tokyo 「東京都現代美術館」
On the northernost part of Kiba Park, Koto Ward, this museum was built in 1995 with a focus on contemporary works of art. As it houses its own collection we can always see these works, but what attracts many visitors are loan exhibitions. It is so huge in space that it can hold even large-scale exhibitions that many other museums in Japan can't afford. By checking what is going on in this museum constantly you can understand the current trends in art as well as great achievements of past maestros.

12 Sha'ban 1435 (June 11, 2014): Geo Cosmos (ジオ・コスモス) Globe @ Miraikan
The Geo-Cosmos was born from the mind of director Mamoru Mohri who want to share with many people, the earth to the current figure of the Earth shining as seen from space.
This spheres display device shows earth today as seen from space made up of about one million light-emitting diode and reflects in (LED).
The same sphere display was renewed during the 10th anniversary in 2011 where approximately 10,000 pieces of organic EL panel were used to achieve a 10 million pixel.

Miraikan and the teamLab's Exhibition
The National Museum of Emerging Science and Innovation, also known as Nippon Kagaku Miraikan (or simply Miraikan), is a well-known museum. It holds exhibits about robotics and seismography, but also holds special exhibits from time to time. In this occasion, as suggested by a friend of mine, I specifically visited Miraikan for the teamLab's special exhibit: 'Dance! Art Exhibition' and 'Learn and Play! teamLab Future Park'.
At the beginning of the video, you can see some footage from the robotics exhibition. There is, however, much more to it than presented here, since I spent most of the time at the teamLab's exhibit and by the time I went to the robotics area, it was almost closing time. In addition, I could not experience the floating garden exhibit from teamLab's for the same motive, as the queue for that specific attraction was very long throughout the entire day, sadly.
Finally, since the music and sound effects of the exhibition was an important part of the experience, kept the original recorded audio for most of the time. The recording quality at low light ambient in my camera is pretty bad, so there is lots of noise in some scenes (sorry for that).

Edo Museum Tokyo
The Edo Museum in Fukugawa near Shirakawa, Koto, Tokyo.
A little smaller than the one in Sumida but quite equally engaging museum that recreates the old streets and houses of old Tokyo when it was still called Edo.
