Full tour of the George Bush Presidential Library & Museum in College Station, Texas Part 1
Hi, everybody! I am Emji Boettcher and this is the George Bush Library & Museum in beautiful College Station, Texas. I have gone to every single Presidential Library in operation in the country and have videoed every single display in each one and will be posting a new video every Monday. This just happened to be the first one I worked on and they will be posted in no particular order.
There are 13 existing, operating Presidential Libraries in the National Archives and Records Administration (NARA) and this is your opportunity to see what each one contains. Michael Smerconish is a radio host and a couple of years ago he had the director from each POTUS Library on the show and he interviewed them by phone on air. This inspired me to actually go to each one and make these videos so that everybody who CAN’T actually go can get a chance to see what is in each one.
The full tour for the Bush 41 library is 2 hours long, so the entire tour has been broken up into clips based upon what is shown in the Museum and is compiled into a YouTube playlist. You will get to see all of the displays, all of the artifacts. I have tried to include everything and if you want to read the displays, I've tried to include most of the verbiage that is posted. You will have to pause the video in order to read the displays.
There is very little, if any, narration during the tour - I want you to experience it as if you were there. I'm not a professional videographer or editor, just a Presidential history buff. The only time I make any comment is when there is something that tickles my fancy. There will be no background music added, just ambient museum sounds.
This clip includes the approach from the parking area, the lobby, the rotunda, the skylight, a display of all of the NARA Libraries, a portrait of George Herbert Walker Bush and George W. Bush, the Lincoln Town Car Limousine, The Beast Limousine of the era with close up detail.
Please like and subscribe, there are a LOT of fun videos coming including one long road trip!

The Funeral of George Herbert Walker Bush
America will today bid a final farewell to the late president, George H.W. Bush, in a service of prayer and praise that is bringing the country together.
The ceremony at Washington National Cathedral, the nexus of state funerals, will cap three days of remembrance by dignitaries and ordinary citizens as they honoured the Republican president.
The 41st president’s casket has been lying in state in the U.S. Capitol rotunda since Monday, with a river of mourners passing through around the clock.
The viewing comes to a close at 7am (1pm GMT) in Washington today.
The casket and the family will arrive at the cathedral just before 11 a.m., when the service is expected to begin.
The service itself is closed to the public, but will be covered by major television networks around the world.
President Donald Trump and his wife, Melania, and the remaining former presidents and their families: George W. Bush, Jimmy Carter, Barack Obama, Bill Clinton and his wife Hillary.
Trump has had strained relations with all of them at various points in his relatively short political career But since Bush Sr’s death, Trump has extended traditional courtesies to the Bush family, including allowing them to stay at the presidential guest house and visiting with them there.
Four men are expected to deliver eulogies including the late president's son and former president George W. Bush.
Former Canadian Prime Minister Brian Mulroney, who held the post while the elder Bush was president is also expected to speak as is the former Republican Senator for Wyoming Alan Simpson who has known the Bush family since the 1960.
Historian and Bush’s biographer Jon Meacham is also expected to give a speech at the service.
What will happen after the service?
Bush's casket will return to Texas late Wednesday for the last time and is expected to lie in repose at St. Martin's Episcopal Church in Houston until 7am tomorrow morning.
The church will also hold its own memorial service for the former president later that morning.
A motorcade will take Bush's body to Union Pacific Railroad Westfield Auto Facility, where a funeral train will transport the late president's remains to Texas A&M University in College Station, Texas.
He'll be laid to rest on the grounds of the George H.W. Bush Presidential Library and Museum, near his wife, Barbara, and their daughter Robin, who died of leukaemia in 1953 at age 3.
