NSC and MN United Recycle
The NSC Stadium now offers convenient recycling bins throughout the stadium. Recycling is important to help us be more sustainable and to help lonely water bottles find their home and another, larger purpose.

National Sports Center Bonding Bill Request
Proposals for a bonding bill started to emerge this week at the state legislature. Included in the proposal release by the Minnesota House democrats was an appropriation to help further development at the National Sports Center.

Minnesota United Tours Bielenberg Sports Center
In September 2013, Minnesota United FC and the city of Woodbury announced their partnership in creating a new soccer specific practice facility at Bielenberg Sports Center. The new facility will include a 7,500 sq. ft. training center for the players and coaches, which will be connected to a new 90,000 sq. ft. indoor field house.

GenerationNOW had the honor to entertain THOUSANDS of guests in attendance for the 2016 Schwan's Cup Opening Ceremonies at the National Sports Center in Blaine, MN for the 2nd straight year.
DJ'd by DJ Mad Mardigan and Emcee'd by Jason Hudoba. We decided to add the freestyle homies of Fanaka and Dani to the experience and they brought the house down.

Old Turf Up for Grabs at National Sports Center
The indoor sports hall at the National Sports Center is getting a big makeover thanks to their partnership with the Minnesota United.
New, top of the line sports turf will soon be installed on the 100 yard by 70 yard field, which is used for several sports including youth soccer.
On Thursday, we found crews tearing out the old artificial turf which won't go to waste. The National Sports Center is offering the old turf to anyone who wants a piece of history.
We've had quite a bit of interest, Minnehaha Academy is taking a large chunk of it to put turf in an indoor ice arena, the City of Blaine is going to take some, we have lots of smaller users all the way from schools and parks departments down to individual people who are interested in putting a piece of turf in their basement, says Barclay Kruse, Chief Communications Officer at the National Sports Center.
The only catch: the turf is really heavy. It's 100 pounds per square foot or 3,000 pounds per roll. You must haul it away yourself. Anyone interested should call Darin Thompson at 763-792-7306 to schedule an appointment.
The new turf should be ready for play by mid-October. The Minnesota United will train on the new turf this winter.
2014 Bonding Bill Funds National Sports Center Expansion
The Minnesota legislative session wrapped up last week, but not before a flurry of activity in the session's final days. Included in the last minute deal-making was more than $1 billion invested into projects from every corner of the state. The bonding bill included several projects in Anoka County and one project in Blaine that carries with it a projected multi-million dollar economic impact.
