Crystal River Refuge's Manatee Manners for Paddlers
Between November and April, Kings Bay is home to the largest aggregation of manatees in a natural environment in the world. To protect manatees from harm, harassment and disturbance, the Crystal River National Wildlife Refuge and Manatee Sanctuaries were created in parts of Kings Bay. The U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service asks all paddlers to watch this informational video in order to ensure a safe and enjoyable experience for humans and manatees alike.

Jungle Cruise at Homosassa Springs Wildlife State Park - Old Florida Attraction & Wild Animal Zoo
Homosassa Springs Wildlife State Park is home to Florida's original Jungle Cruise and has an original underwater observatory. It's Jubgle Cruise 2019 but This old Florida roadside attraction is also a filming location for some Walt Disney Films. This beautiful state park and wildlife sanctuary is home to many animals. Manatees, Alligators, Bald Eagles, Fish, and a 59 year old hippo named Lu are among some of the many animals you will see here at this Old Florida wildlife Zoo. Let's take another outdoor adventure in what I like to call Old and vintage Florida. There is so much to see and so much ahead.

Gems of the Nature Coast heads to the charming fishing village of Old Homosassa where local historian Shannon Burns unveils the history of the Yulee Sugarmill and we make a stop at the Museum Café and Printing Museum where a master printer is dedicated to the preservation of a long lost art.

River cam MacCraes is located on the beautiful Homosassa River.The Nature Coast Location is the best place to enjoy a beer, in the Florida sunshine--sitting under a canopy at their outdoor restaurant and lounge named the 'Shed, eating shrimp and spicy chicken wings while watching the boats pass by and the Pelicans going about their business. The nature of the Homosassa springs and the Crystal River areas are as good as anywhere we have been, including the fantastic Florida Keys.
