Day 1| BEST TREK Around KATHMANDU | Awesome Day of EPIC ft Wanderlust Himalaya Adventures
Trekking in Nepal. I wanted to squeeze in a short trek around Kathmandu. I did the Kopasi- Balthali- Namobuddha-Dhulikhel trek with Wanderlust Himalaya Adventures. It’s one of the best hikes near Kathmandu and it was such an awesome trekking day in Nepal. It is a popular two day trek around Kathmandu Valley. Our start is located 2 hours east of downtown Kathmandu. Our first day's goal ends in Dhulikhel.
I did a shout out to my good friend Nabaraj, who runs his own trekking and tour company. He gave me a customized tour so I could film the valley and village life- I love filming human stories. I wanted epic scenery but also wanted to see village culture and lifestyles. But this trek surpassed my wildest expectations and you’ll see why.
Trivia: initially Nabaraj sold me my very first trekking tour a decade ago when he was just 19 years old and worked for another company. I’m honored to be taking one of his Kathmandu trekking tours! My first trek was Bhaktapur to Nagarkot, which is another top trek around Kathmandu as well.

Introduction of Nepal
Nepal is a kingdom inhabited by some 23 million people, was once a valley tucked in the recesses of the Himalayas. A valley as old as the ancient legend of Manjushree, a Chinese saint of yore, who is said to have drained out a legendary lake with the sword of wisdom to find a fertile and verdant valley which is today the capital of the Nepalese kingdom. And today, it has become a trekkers paradise where trekkers from all over the world are touring in large numbers to cover the trails of the Everest, Annapurna, Dhaulagiri, Manaslu, Dolpo, and other Himalayan Peaks, and also to attain first-hand unbelievable heights in extreme conditions. Starting from Kathmandu, a treasure house of ancient architectural value, we take you on treks that could last for as short as a day or as long as you wish, either on an individual or a group basis

Hello there, welcome to this channel!
I am an Indonesian female solo traveler, who started solo traveling in 2013. After working for the government till 2016, I left Indonesia to pursue full-time traveling and to document myself as I explore different cultures as a solo female.
Having initially traveled for 5 months throughout Asia, I moved to China in January 2017 for an English teaching job, which was my first experience living abroad.
Since leaving China in 2018, I have taken the move to become a full-time YouTube creator and traveler. I strive to create unique, culture-driven content and capture authentic interactions as I travel.
Kathmandu or Dustmandu? Travel vlog Nepal
I was absolutely shocked by the pollution and the dust in Kathmandu or 'Dustmandu' as I will call it lol. I was warned, but it was a lot worse than I expected.
It truly lives up to it's name as 'The City of Dust'.
Nevertheless, I enjoyed my time in Kathmandu, Nepal!
Watch my travel adventures!
I stayed at Boudhanath temple, a tibetan and buddhist community. I had such a peaceful time there and got to see the beautiful monks at work.
I also got to experience Thamel, eat some amazing street food and experience being a tourist in Kathmandu.
Hope you guys enjoyed this video!
Please give it a thumbs up if you did
Please check out my other travel videos as well, I visit Pokhara, do the ABC trekking and step into India for a little as well.
Enjoy!

Things to Do and Places to Visit in Kathmandu | Travel Vlog | Nepal
I always wanted to visit Nepal and trek in the upper Himalayas. In the month of June, I finally decided to act on it and planned a trip for 19 days in this beautiful country and attempt for Annapurna Circuit Trek. My first few days were spent in Kathmandu, the capital city of Nepal, and Pokhara. This vlog showcases my time in Kathmandu when I visited the most popular tourist destinations in Kathmandu valley. I visited Thamel, Pottery Square, Naya Bazaar, Bhaktapur Durbar Square (one of seven UNESCO World Heritage Sites in the Kathmandu Valley), Patan Durbar Square and Basantpur Durbar Square. Even though the Nepal earthquake from 2015 has taken a bit of a toll on the infrastructure and monuments of Kathmandu, the city still stands strong and wins your heart with Nepali Hospitality. I also tried some authentic Nepali food like Newari Khaja Set and Juju Dhau.
Here are a few more places to visit in Kathmandu
- Budda Neelkanth Temple
- Pashupatinath Temple
- Swayambhu (स्वयम्भू) also known as Monkey Temple
- Garden of Dreams
- Narayanhiti Palace Museum
This is the first vlog from my Nepal series. Hope you guys enjoy watching it. If you do, please like and share the video! :)

The Rolwaling Valley is one of the most remote, wild and magical areas in Nepal. It lies North East of Kathmandu valley, close to the Tibetan border and between Tama Koshi River and Khambu Himal. This trek offers unique opportunity to pass through traditional Shepa and Brahmin villages. Along the trek, we will cross high passes, dense forests and beautiful waterfalls. Highlights of this trip include fantastic view of Mt. Gauri Shanker (7146m) and Tso Rolpa glacier lake. This trek is recommended and suited for adventure seekers interested in exploring off the beaten track.
