Camping Eureka Springs | Lake Leatherwood Mountain Biking & Downhill | Crescent Hotel Ghost Tour
We packed a lot into this camping trip! We drove from Little Rock, Arkansas up to Eureka Springs, Arkansas. We set up camp at the Eureka Springs KOA. We had a few small holes in the floor of our tent, so we showed how the patch those holes. We just have to say that this campground is one of the best pay to stay campgrounds we have every stayed at. When we got there, Kellie cooked a cajun shrimp pasta. After diner, we drove back Eureka Springs and found a great bar called the Gravel Bar at Wanderoo Lodge. We hung out there until our Ghost Tour at the Crescent Hotel began. After that we drove to downtown Eureka Springs to Tour the Haunted History of the Crescent Hotel. The next morning Kellie cooked pancakes. When we first arrived the day before, Cody had backed into a tree with his bike rack and bent his wheel. So on this day, we drove downtown to Adventure Mountain Outfitters to rent a bike for the day. After renting the bike, Kellie decided that she would rather go get a massage at New Moon Spa located in the Crescent Hotel. Cody went ahead and mountain bike road at Lake Leatherwood Park, mtb trails. He road Miner's Rock Trail, and DH5. After we were done with riding and our massage, we return the bike and drove back to camp to shower. Once clean, we drove back to downtown Eureka Springs and had an amazing dinner at Ermilio's Italian Home Cooking. We toured the old neighborhoods, and found the Grotto Spring on Spring Street. Next we were wanting something sweet, so we found Ellen's Patisserie, and picked up a carrot cake. We finished our evening off at The Stone House wine bar.

Crescent Hotel Morgue Ghosts Eureka Springs Arkansas 22222
In October of 2008, a group of ladies opted to sleep in the morgue of The 1886 Crescent Hotel and Spa, located in Eureka Springs, Arkansas. The reason this Historic Hotel of America has a morgue is because in the late 1930s a charlatan named Norman Baker bought the hotel and ran it for several years as a cancer curing hospital. His autopsy table, his walk-in cooler where he kept spare body parts, and the locker where Syfy Network's Ghost Hunters caught a full-bodied apparition on thermography are still there and this area is considered the most active in a resort hotel oftentimes called America's most haunted hotel. See for yourself what the girls never saw... but the hidden camera captured.

August 2015 the haunted Basin Park Hotel 1905 is where we decided to stay. Didn't see any paranormal activity, but had a good time jacking with my wife by remoting the TV off n on hear n there making her think the spirits were lurking about.lol.
This place is old but so charming. Also being in the middle of the action, you can just stumble back home with ease!
Be sure to eat 1st or 2nd breakfast at the Oasis. Try the Bison enchiladas!

New Review
We rode the bike down from Springfield MO for a two day, one night stay. From the moment we walked through the doors to the minute we checked out, the customer service was fantastic. The Sky Bar pizza was delicious and enormous. We were full after just one slice ... My compliments to the chef, not only for the pizza but for the breakfast buffet. I highly recommend the omelet bar. I had a bite of my husband's and regretted not getting one myself. Because of our short stay we only were able to enjoy 1/4 of what the hotel has to offer. I can't wait to go back. We will definitely stay longer.

Ghost Hunting, Crescent Hotel, Eureka Springs, AR
Image video of the third floor back balcony of the Crescent Hotel in Eureka Springs, Arkansas. Supposedly one of the most haunted hotels in the USA. One spirt is suppose to appear at 10:30pm on this balcony, walk over to the railing, and jump down into the garden and fountain below. Did we see it? Not in person but I took this series of images with my camera and put them together for this video. I don't see anything, but maybe you will. (music: Far The Days Come by Letter Box)

Magnetic and Crescent Spring located in Eureka Springs, Arkansas.
The Magnetic Spring historic sign reads..
“
Magnetic Spring
Any Metal Object Placed In The Spring Water Was Widely Claimed To Become Magnetized. It Was Also Claimed That Exclusive Use Of The From Magnetic Spring Would Cure Physical Debility And Aid In Overcoming Drug Addiction. Drug Addiction Was Prevalent In The Late Victorian Era Due To Widespread Use Of Patient Medicines Containing Alcohol And Narcotics.
A Large Wooden Pavilion Was Built Over The Original Spring Site, And Was Widely Used By Visitors. The Tourist Social Hour Club, A Group Concerned With The Entertainment Of Tourists, Met Regularly At Magnetic Spring From 1885 To 1935.
Magnetic Spring Was Originally Owned By General Powell Clayton And The Eureka Springs Improvement Company. General Clayton Deeded The Property To The City Of Eureka Springs In 1911. At That Time, Workmen Were Hand-Excavating Thirty-Eight Feet Into The Side Of The Mountain To Open The Main Stream Of Water. The Picnic Pavilion Was Left In Place, And A New Wood And Stone Shelter Was Built Over The Spring. Local Newspapers Praised The New Improvements Saying, “Magnetic Spring Has For Years Brought More People To Eureka Springs Than Any Other Thing.”

Crescent Spring And Trail
Crescent Spring Was Revered For Its Healing Water Almost As Much As The Basin, The Legendary Indian Healing Spring. Situated Beside The Wagon Road On A Hillside With A Rocky Outcropping Described As “Crescent” Shaped, The Spring Was Soon Given That Name, As Was The Crescent Hotel, The Fine Limestone Structure Built At Its Summit In 1886.
Street Maps Dated 1886 Show A Stone Retaining Wall And A Circular Enclosure Of Stone At The Spring. Adjacent To It, Twelve Stair Steps Of Dressed Beaver Limestone Lead To A Public Thoroughfare Ten Feet In Width Extending To Park Avenue On The Hillside Above.
Earliest View, An Artist’s Sketch Of Crescent Spring, Published In 1881, Shows A Simple Wood Shed Built To Shade And Protect The Waters. The Shed Was Replaced By An Ornate Wood Gazebo With Copper Clad Roof Constructed By 1886, Creating A Beautiful Promenade For Resort Visitors.
Crescent Spring And A Reservation Of The Hillside Above And On Either Side Of The Spring Were Set Aside In The Original Plat Of The Town Site Surveyed August, 1979. Named Spring Reservations Around The “Principal Springs”, Which Included Crescent Spring, By Name, Were Established By Ordinance NO. 1, Enacted April, 1880. Upon The Incorporation Of Eureka Springs As A City.

Let's Ride The Eureka Springs Trolley To The Crescent Hotel!
Contains a healthy non-GMO portion of the historic red route....
Eureka Springs Trolley website at the time this was published:
This video was produced and funded exclusively by the Dozenspeed Film Foundation (with exception to the music from the YouTube Audio Library, i.e. Hand Trolley by Kevin MacLeod which they say is cool to use as long as I copy and paste the following:
You’re free to use this song in any of your videos, but you must include the following in your video description:

And yes I simply typed in the word trolley into the search bar and that was the only song to come up and while the video isn't about a hand trolley it has the word trolley IN it. I don't always so mindlessly follow such coercion tactics but the song worked so there you have it.
Thanks for watching and stuff....
Now I'm going to type a bunch of random phrases into this description box in hopes YouTube algorithms find and suggest this video, you don't need to keep reading beyond this point.

Ghosts at the Crescent
I had read that the little orbs on early digital cameras were artifacts from the process or lens artifacts. In this video the orbs move. . . . I did not see the orbs but they were captured on another camera when taking flash pictures. It is seen here on my phone video capture of the events. This was in the morgue at the Crescent Hotel in Eureka Springs Arkansas.
