Hanoi Old Quarter Night Market - Hanoi Nightlife
Walking around the heart of Hanoi Vietnam – on weekend nights, it is easy to notice a crowed night market, known as Old Quarter Night Market.
The busy roads are blocked at night. No cars or any other type of transportation is allowed during night. The locals and tourists are free to roam the streets of the weekend night markets. The only noise you would hear is that of the crowded streets with people and music.
It has been over a decade since its opening, Old Quarter Night Market is a 1 kilometers long pedestrian street from Hang Dao street to Dong Xuan market. With the aim of promoting Vietnamese culture in foreigners’ eyes and Vietnamese new generation, the night market represents Hanoi’s cultural life and activities in the past. This walking street opens from 7p.m until 11p.m on Friday, Saturday and Sunday night and consists of over 3000 stalls from numerous small traders selling foods, clothes, accessories, daily goods, souvenirs and handicrafts.

Hanoi's Largest Indoor Market - Dong Xuan Market
It's surprising how Hanoi's largest indoor market feels so claustrophobic and small. Explore the market with us as we negotiate our way through and make small talk in Vietnamese.
Want to get paid to travel the world like we do? Get our 50 Creative Ways to Make Money while Traveling by clicking here: chaseforadventure.com/cheatsheet
Exploring the Dong Xuang market, which is the largest indoor market in Hanoi, was anxiety producing. lol There is so much wholesale shopping crammed into such a tiny space. We were able to find everything from souvenirs to clothing and shoe knock offs. If you were to ask where the best place to shop in Hanoi was, this wouldn't be on the top of my list but is defiantly a must see. This is especially true if you are staying in the old quarter or even just shopping in the old quarter.
As always thank you so much for watching!

About Us!
If you had told me a year ago that we were going to sell all of our stuff to start backpacking the world, I would have called you a liar. Decisions like the one we made start with an inflection point. A point where you realize that life can never be the same anymore. After a challenging, and painful year in 2017, we decided we needed to go out and live the life we wanted to live, instead of watching it on someone else’s YouTube Channel. We had given everything we had, physically and emotionally, for other’s dreams and were ready to work that hard for ourselves. From rock bottom, Chase for Adventure was born.
The Chase Begins
We moved in with our parents, sold everything we own including our cars, and paid off $70,000 worth of debt. We worked 70hrs/week over the last year trying to save up $15,000 to make our dreams come true. Now, we are travel journalists who showcase the beauty in different cultures and inspire others to chase their dreams through our YouTube Channel and website Chase for Adventure. We want to show others that if they want something bad enough, they’ll figure out how to get it; show people who are struggling that they can make the light at the end of their tunnel. Chase for Adventure is more than just a travel vlog and blog; it’s the chronicles of what it’s like to have a dream and do whatever it takes to attain it.
Vietnamese Street Food at Hanoi Night Market
We visit the Weekend Night Market in Hanoi, Vietnam. After brief window shopping, we eat four rounds of Vietnamese food! We begin with Banh Troi Tau, a dessert made of rice balls with peanut and ginger soup. Who said you can't have dessert first? Round Two is Pho Ga (Vietnamese Chicken Noodle Soup) topped off with garlic and scallions. Then we try Banh Mi (Vietnamese Sandwich) stuffed with skewered meat. Different vendors have their own recipe. The one we have is a simple variation. We finish the day with a second round of dessert: Kem Xoi (Sticky Rice Ice Cream). PS: You’ll see Obama’s Restaurant in this video.

Hanoi Night Market - Vietnam 2019
Hanoi Night Market - Vietnam 2019
The Hanoi market starts from the Hoan Kiem Lake then along Hang Dao Street to the Dong Xuan Market. Travel to Hanoi Old Quarter Vietnam.
Vietnam: A tour of the night market in Hanoi
Here's a little video to show you a bit of the Hanoi Night Market. If you're ever in Hanoi during the weekend, be sure to check it out. It's held every Friday, Saturday and Sunday night from 7 pm till 12 midnight. You can buy all sorts of things for cheap, such as assorted crafts, art, sunglasses, t-shirts, shorts, pants, knick knacks, handmade greeting cards, toys, bags, socks, jewelry, iPhone cases, and the list goes on. Be sure to haggle though. Never accept the first price offered to you or you will be overpaying by quite a bit! To get there, just head to the north end of Hoan Kiem Lake where you'll see a big roundabout with insane traffic and the market is just north of that. Good luck crossing the road! LOL

We found a bunch of unique and delicious Vietnamese street foods that you really need to try, all around Hanoi's old quarter! Despite this area being quite tourist, we found a lot of delicious food, so far, this has been the BEST street food city I've visited in Southeast asia!
In this Vietnam Street Food tour video, Myself (Trevor James, The Food Ranger), am taking you on a food street journey to many delicious, mouthwatering street food places around Hanoi in Northern Vietnam. If you're deciding whether or not to travel to Vietnam for the street food, you really need to come visit Hanoi. You can enjoy unique Vietnamese street foods hidden in Hanoi's old quarter alleyways and try classic Vietnam cuisine specialties like Pho for Breakfast, Bun Cha for lunch, A ton of different rice noodle dishes, and a ton of other hidden delights.
Over the past 3 years, I've filmed and eaten street food around China, including locations like Chengdu, Lanzhou, Guangzhou, Hong Kong, Beijing, Wuhan, Leshan, Shanghai, and Xinjiang's Silk Road. So far, the street food in each of these locations has been the best street food around the world! BUT, I haven't shot a ton of street food in Southeast Asia, so we made it our goal to come to Vietnam to try the street foods. So far, it has totally been worth it!
Vietnamese cuisine is so delicious, and even though I've only been here a short while, I'm sure that it would really need a lifetime to eat all of it. I've decided to stay living in China, and move around to other countries like Vietnam for another year or two or even more, shooting delicious street food in china for you and across asia as well!
Here are the addresses and locations and restaurant names for the Vietnam street food I had in this Hanoi, Vietnam travel video. Most locations were deep in Hanoi's old quarter alleyways!

NIGHTLIFE IN HANOI, VIETNAM (Night Market, Beer Corner, Hoan Kiem Lake) | LIVESTREAM VIETNAM #4
In my 4th Livestream tour in Vietnam, I show you what a typical weekend looks like in Hanoi. From Friday through Sunday, the Hoan Kiem lake area gets closed off to motorcycle and car traffic, allowing families to come out and have lots of fun in a safe environment.
You can also find the Hanoi Night Market as you venture into the Old Quarter. While walking around, you'll probably also stumble into the very popular Ta Hien beer corner where everyone sits on plastic stools, drinks beer, and munches on yummy food.
This looks like a chaotic festival to some people, but this is normal life 3 days a week in Hanoi.
I want to say thank you to all the viewers who tuned in, and also dealt with some buffering issues and my phone crashing over an hour into the Livestream.
Stay tuned to my YouTube Community Tab, as well as all my social media, for updates on Livestream schedules!
I hope you can join in on my next one! Cheers!

Hanoi Old Quarter | CRAZY Cheap North Face!
Location: Hanoi Old Quarter
New Facebook Page -
Visiting the Old Quarter in Hanoi was by far my favorite activity in Hanoi, Vietnam! I could literally just walk around the old quarter for weeks without getting board. While walking around the old quarter in Hanoi you constantly have to dodge motor bikes! It really keeps you on your toes.
You never know what you're going to see when walking around the old quarter. One second you might see chickens playing in the road. The next minute you'll see hundreds of knock off Rolex watches. One thing that I guarantee you'll see TONS of stores selling cheap North Face apparel.
Apparently North Face apparel in Hanoi is cheap because the North Face factory is located in Vietnam? I don't know how true this is, but I do know that Kara scored a nice North Face puffy jacket for only $20 in the Old Quarter of Hanoi in a store called Made in Vietnam!

Hanoi night market Vietnam
Long Bien Night Market - The largest agricultural night market in Hanoi
Long Bien Night Market is a typical part of the bustling life in the city. This is the wholesale place where people provide fruits and agricultural products to the people of the capital. When coming to Long Bien market, you will feel special things that nowhere else has. You can join yourself in the crowded market to buy and sell, choose for yourself the freshest items, or feel the poetic things yourself.
It is a great way to discover the normal life as well as specific cultural values of Hanoi and feel the hardship sellers are struggling to earn a living at the time they should have gone to bed.
