A wildlife watching boat trip on the River Nile near Murchison Fall, Uganda.
This video was filmed on a boat trip up the Nile near Murchison Falls, in Uganda.
I have had to remove the original sound track due to the horrible sound of the boat engine. This was a pity as there were nice noises from the hippo and the birds.

Visiting Murchison falls with Matoke Tours
If you are planning to travel in Uganda, a visit to Murchison Falls is an absolute must!
The mighty Nile River divides the park into its north and south sections. At the spectacular Murchison Falls the world's longest river explodes violently through a narrow cleft in the Rift Valley escarpment to plunge into a frothing pool 43m below.
As the river attracts large numbers of game, a boat safari up the Nile provides the perfect opportunity to see and photograph the animals. Carefully watched by crocodiles, hundreds of hippos, buffaloes, water birds, apes and all the other thirsty wildlife that the Nile attracts, you go to the bottom of the Murchison Falls, which approaches you with a thunderous sound.
Most of the park’s wildlife is found north of the Nile, so all game drives take place on the tracks in the northern section. A game drive in the park allows you to be eye-to-eye with the African animal kingdom featuring elephants, giraffes, buffaloes, lions, leopards, different species of antelope and many bird species.
The Nile Delta is the area where the Victoria Nile flows into Lake Albert. A boat safari down the river towards Lake Albert is a “must do” for every birdwatcher as the banks of the delta are home to hundreds of bird species including the rare and prehistoric-looking shoebill stork.

Africa's best kept Secret-Source of the Nile Riverin Jinja Uganda
Although the river has multiple sources, the Nile originates from Lake Victoria.The Niles start in Jinja,Uganda ,at the shore of Lake Victoria and flows northwards over Ripon falls into Lake Kyoga.The Nile then flows out towards the Western direction before emptying into Lake Albert through its northern end.
The water of Victoria Nile mixes with the lake waters and pass northwards as Albert Nile. The Nile enters South Sudan and proceeds to Juba where it is called Al-Jabal River.The White Nile enters Sudan below Renk and proceeds north to the capital where it joins the Blue Nile. In Cairo, the Nile splits into two major distributaries,the Rosetta and Damietta where it forms the Nile Delta.

SUMMARY
=======
The Nile (Arabic: النيل) is a major north-flowing river in northeastern Africa, and is commonly regarded as the longest river in the world, though some sources cite the Amazon River as the longest. The Nile, which is 6,853 km (4,258 miles) long, is an international river as its drainage basin covers eleven countries, namely, Tanzania, Uganda, Rwanda, Burundi, the Democratic Republic of the Congo, Kenya, Ethiopia, Eritrea, South Sudan, Republic of the Sudan and Egypt. In particular, the Nile is the primary water source of Egypt and Sudan.The river Nile has two major tributaries, the White Nile and Blue Nile. The White Nile is considered to be the headwaters and primary stream of the Nile itself. The Blue Nile, however, is the source of most of the water and silt. The White Nile is longer and rises in the Great Lakes region of central Africa, with the most distant source still undetermined but located in either Rwanda or Burundi. It flows north through Tanzania, Lake Victoria, Uganda and South Sudan. The Blue Nile begins at Lake Tana in Ethiopia and flows into Sudan from the southeast. The two rivers meet just north of the Sudanese capital of Khartoum.The northern section of the river flows north almost entirely through the Sudanese desert to Egypt, then ends in a large delta and flows into the Mediterranean Sea. Egyptian civilization and Sudanese kingdoms have depended on the river since ancient times. Most of the population and cities of Egypt lie along those parts of the Nile valley north of Aswan, and nearly all the cultural and historical sites of Ancient Egypt are found along riverbanks.
