Renting motorbikes in Thailand: Chiang Mai to Chiang Rai
We rented motorbikes in Thailand and drove from Chiang Mai to Chiang Rai, and somehow managed to not die. If that's not poetry then I don't know what is.

Cheapest (99 Baht) Motorbike Rental in Chiang Mai: How To & Where
Work from anywhere in the world from your phone, conversating in English with cool Chinese people! -----
Start working for Palfish and get paid to talk from anywhere in the world through my personal link
Just a quick fun guide on how and where to rent a cheap motorbike/scooter in Chiang Mai.
I tried riding a bicycle and Ubering around for a while, but the truth is, you really do need an engine with two wheels to get around in Chiang Mai, it's just how the place rolls.
So big thanks to my boy Mike McDonald who tipped me off to this place in the Chang Puak area (north side of the Old City) called OK Motobike For Car & Rent.
It's just 99 Baht baht per day - provided you rent for at least 2 days, and the rental process couldn't be simpler: you just leave your passport (which buddy keeps in a safe) and pay 100 baht, and you get the key and ride away into the sunset! (Or rainy clouds in today's case!)

Renting Big Bikes in Chiang Mai - 8MFH EP12
Renting Big Bikes in Chiang Mai is something we have wanted to do for a while. So when J's older brother said he was coming to North Thailand for 2 days, it was time to go for it.
8 miles from home episode 12 is what happened during those adrenaline fueled days. We took a Honda CBR 500, 3 Honda CRF 250's and a Honda Zoomer and set off to show our guests some of the beauty of Chiang Mai. Visiting the famous Wat Chedi Luang and Wat Phra Singh. Stopping at Mae Kuang Dam for a photo shoot before heading over the Highway 118 mountain pass to visit 'coffee view cafe' for a sunset dinner.
Omar El-haj, Sam Brignell, Jude Flanders and Amanda Trefry really embraced the biking spirit and as a result had an epic adventure here on Thai soil.

Mae Hong Son Loop Day 3 // Northern Thailand Motorcycle Trip
The Mae Hong Son Loop is a ridiculously beautiful route that starts in the city of Chiang Mai in northern Thailand, loops around the north-western part of Thailand and ends in Chiang Mai once again.
I decided to go about this loop in the form of a motorcycle trip.
The third day of my Mae Hong Son Loop motorcycle trip started in the beautiful village of Ban Rak Thai, on the northern border between Thailand and Burma (Myanmar). Passing through the city of Mae Hong Son (which the loop is named after), I ended my day in the small town of Mae Chaem.
This chunk was, without a doubt, the most scenic and beautiful of all the rides I've had in the Mae Hong Son Loop so far.
If you have any questions regarding safety, Mae Hong Son Loop route, motorcycle renting, navigating etc- feel free to ask in the comment section below.

About Us!
If you had told me a year ago that we were going to sell all of our stuff to start backpacking the world, I would have called you a liar. Decisions like the one we made start with an inflection point. A point where you realize that life can never be the same anymore. After a challenging, and painful year in 2017, we decided we needed to go out and live the life we wanted to live, instead of watching it on someone else’s YouTube Channel. We had given everything we had, physically and emotionally, for other’s dreams and were ready to work that hard for ourselves. From rock bottom, Chase for Adventure was born.
The Chase Begins
We moved in with our parents, sold everything we own including our cars, and paid off $70,000 worth of debt. We worked 70hrs/week over the last year trying to save up $15,000 to make our dreams come true. Now, we are travel journalists who showcase the beauty in different cultures and inspire others to chase their dreams through our YouTube Channel and website Chase for Adventure. We want to show others that if they want something bad enough, they’ll figure out how to get it; show people who are struggling that they can make the light at the end of their tunnel. Chase for Adventure is more than just a travel vlog and blog; it’s the chronicles of what it’s like to have a dream and do whatever it takes to attain it.

A wonderful Iconic mode of Transport seen all over North East Thailand.
It is a real quirky bit of engineering, but awesome Fun.
It is cheap and cheerful.
But it is almost impossible to gegister so as far as most of us are concerned it has very limited legal use !
A real shame and just one of those annoying things about strange rules !
QAny way, great fun and if you are interested explore more, if I can help, let me know !

And here are some useful health/life tips from Durianrider:
Sleep, water, sugar sufficiency must be the daily focus.
Sun + sport must be the weekly focus.
Making the world a better place for humanity, the animals and the environment must be the life focus.
One MUST get consistent early nights to ensure success on a healthy weight loss lifestyle. More early nights means a healthier and faster metabolism + you will have greater nerve energy for the next day as your organs get the rest they need to function healthfully.
High carb low fat fruit based lifestyles work wonders for long term weight loss transformations. I've NEVER seen a fat fruit or rice muncher EVER. People sneak in fat and wonder why they get fat.
Im talking FAT FAT not skinny fat because someone doesn't move their body and they wonder why they dont have a tight stomach.Weight loss transformation WILL happen when you do the right things. High carb, low fat, early nights, consistent hydration etc.
Participate in your fav activities to build the toned body that you want. Do at LEAST 3 hours of light sweat inducing sport each week. Cycling, running, boxing, fast walking, wheel chairing etc. Its easy to lose weight but to build a toned body you MUST MOVE IT! :) AND eat enough carb calories so that the active adventure filled lifestyle is EASY to maintain!! So many people make the mistake of not eating enough carb calories DAILY!! Thats like wanting to be a big spender on 5$ a day! CHOW DOWN THE CARB CALORIES REGARDLESS OF YOUR WEIGHT!!
My recommendations for anyone wanting to get fit + stay fit + gain muscle + burn fat is 10g of carbs per kg of bodyweight per day MINIMUM (even on days off) and 1g of carbs per kg of bodyweight per hour when you're out training. I personally drink enough water so Im pizz'n at least 10 times a day CLEAR and a few times a night. If my urine is yellow or straw, I just knock back a quart and Im good to go. Keep your salt intake low. Healthy whole food plant foods contain all the sodium we need without creating the excess weight gain from sodium retention that added salt can bring.
Raw food diet vegan high carb low fat style based on fruit keeps you slim naturally. How to get a flat stomach, how to lose weight with raw foods.how to start a raw food diet? all these questions and more answered by Durianrider & Freelee on our channels.

Chiang Mai to Chiang Rai Roads
Swapped the dirt bikes for a pair of Honda CB500s back in Chiang Mai and headed out north-east to do a loop to Chiang Rai and back. Pretty dull on the first day, but livened up on days 2 and 3 with some decent roads. Not quite the adrenaline rush of the dirt, though.
(ORIGINAL) How to ride a motorcycle in Thailand traffic - Chiangmai (DISTORTED - NARROW AND TALL)
A more natural re-do is at: (stretched and cropped)
On a Honda Wave 125 enjoy the thrill ride from Rincome intersection (Superhighway and Nimenheimen rds) to The Dukes restaurant. People in the know will see I went the wrong way after the bridge, but then turned around to get to The Dukes.
The GoPro camera mounted on top of my helmet makes the video seem a little faster than it really is! And the wide angle lens also makes spaces seem smaller. But overall, I do ride pretty quickly and I do squeeze through some pretty tight places..!
A more natural version (stretched and cropped to compensate for the high-mounted wide-angle lens) is located here:
Maybe it seems more sane... (?!)
