The best thing about our visit is that Master Chef Pankaj reveals the recipe secrets for his version of a Dal Makhani (or Makhni). We promise you that it is absolutely delicious.
This is very much a privilaged peek into Tifin Box's restaurant kitchen, watching a highly experienced cook making a large quantity of yummy Indian food.

Buying a freshly made Hand Stretched Pizza made by a Master Pizza Maker (Pizzaiolo) at ICCO Pizzeria
It's about time we shared with you our favourite secret pizza joint for whenever we are in Central London, namely: ICCO Pizzeria. A place which offers a little taste of Italy but.............right here in the heart of proper London.
It's a place we have visited many times over the years; you'd be very hard pushed to find better value for money.
Can you believe that these guys are serving up freshly prepared large size pizzas for around about the £5.00 mark in the heart of the West End of London, this is delicious restaurant quality food; but at affordable street food prices!!!
On the day of our visit we had the Vegetarian option which had toppings of Onions, Sweet corn, Mixed Peppers, Mozzarella (with a generous amount of Tomato Sauce on the base).
Incredibly from ordering the pizza to it arriving on the plate was literally a matter of minutes. ICCO have a great little buzzer system, so when you place an order you are given a small black box, which vibrates and flashes when your pizza is ready.
There's no secret to the recipe and preparation because the pizza chefs make everything in full view of customers in the open kitchen so customers are able to see their pizzas being created from start to finish. It's absolutely mesmerising watching the pizzaolos work their magic...........fantastic Italian style Street Food from Naples but in London.
If truth be told, watching the pizzas being made in the oven reminds us of Indian Tandoori Naan Bread being cooked - the similarities are there if you think about it.............the intense heat of the oven, the speed of the cooking, the freshly baked smell, the char-grilled taste, etc........oh god - we want another one.
