The Pirates of the Arrrr-boretum Haunted Trail - Brainerd Dispatch MN
The Northland Arboretum will host its ninth annual Haunted Trail from 7-9 p.m. Thursday and Friday at the Northland Arboretum Visitor Center.
Tickets are $5 per person and are available at the door; young children should be accompanied by an adult. Non-perishable food items are being collected both nights to be donated to the local food shelf.
The Pirates of the Arrrr-boretum Haunted Trail, which is put on by arboretum volunteers, leads visitors through the dark woods on the winding trails of the arboretum. No flashlights are allowed. At the end of the trail, visitors are invited to enjoy a bonfire and hot cider.
People are asked to use the main entrance to the arboretum and that they can park within the arboretum.

Raptors of Minnesota event at the Northland Arboretum is this year's annual Family Education Program. The University of Minnesota Raptor Center did a live presentation with a falcon, red-tailed hawk, great horned owl and bald eagle.

The September 2, 2012 Labor Day Weekend Brainerd Minnesota Lowe Family reunion took place at Lum Park in Brainerd, Minnesota.
The Tour day began at 1 PM on Saturday September 1st and the Pot Luck Lunch and Fellowship time started at 1:30 PM on Sunday

PM. The tours included the George Washington and Olga Berg-Lowe farm where most of the 14 chidlren lived at one time. Other tours
included the North Star School (North of Tamarack) location, The Tamarack School, one of several of the homes (Sheshebe Point-
Minnewawa Lake North of McGregor MN) Olga Lowe lived in after George passed away, Farm (Just a few miles north of McGregor MN)
that Olga, Chet AND Gilbert lowe lived in, where Gilbert was born, The Wright Cemetery where Olga, George, Olga's parents bonsak
and Hilda (Berg) , Ida (Berg) and Nels Dam and others are laid to rest.

Two farm structures lost, two saved from flames - Brainerd Dispatch MN
Two farm equipment sheds burned to the ground and fire threatened two other structures Tuesday when Brainerd firefighters arrived on the scene at vacant property on Nokay Lake Road, east of Brainerd.
Brainerd Fire Chief Kevin Stunek said firefighters were able to save the threatened structures — a shed and a barn, which were burning in the corner. However, a 30x50 foot machine shed and a 20x24 foot tractor shed were a total loss. Stunek estimated the damage of the buildings to be about $50,000. Two vehicles also were burned.
