OUR REVIEW OF THE NORTHWEST RIVER PARK CAMPGROUND | CHESAPEAKE VIRGINIA | RV LIFE
When traveling to Hampton Roads Virginia we were hit with the reality that RV Resorts in the area were not only costly but filled up weeks in advance. Coming from the recent midwest where parks were plentiful and realistically priced we were a bit shocked.
After a little search I found the Northwest River Park Campground located in Chesapeake, VA. It is a small campground and RV park ran by the County.

On the Trail at Indian River Park (Chesapeake, VA)
I missed Fishing Friday due to the heavy rains in the area, but was able to find some time on the trail. I've been trying to explore the municipal parks around my new place and I'm having fun doing it!
Indian River Park is in the City of Chesapeake, VA. It's a nice little escape from the urban life of Hampton Roads until you hear traffic along Military Highway, but there many trails to hike and bike. Worth a visit if you're in the area, but it's a little difficult to find as the business address is NOT where the trails are location. If you're at the community center on Rokeby, then go back across Military Hwy. to the other side of Rokeby and you're find the trails. Watch yourself and happy urban hiking.
