Norvin Green State Forest is a 5,416 acres state forest in Bloomingdale, New Jersey, United States, near the Wanaque Reservoir. It is part of the Northeastern coastal forests ecoregion. The forest is accessible by foot only; it is part of the Wyanokie Wilderness Area and contains an extensive trail system built on old logging roads, several of which connect with trails in The New Weis Center and reservoir property. The trails climb hills up to 1,300 feet and provide views of the Manhattan skyline, the Wanaque Reservoir, Burnt Meadow Brook and Lake Sonoma. The park is operated and maintained by the New Jersey Division of Parks and Forestry.

Take Route 23 approximately 7 miles north of the town of Sussex, NJ or 4 miles south of Port Jervis, NY. Both the park office and the main entrance to the park on located on Route 23.

This State Park as at the northern end on NJ, this is where Pennsylvania and New York State meet NJ. A crossroads (more like cross-trails) where these three States meet. Trails meander through mountains through all three States. Numerous wild animals can be seen, Bear, Weasel, Bobcat, Coyote. Spring Time - Songbird, Woodcock, Warblers, Vireos, Thrushes, Tanagers, Orioles. Summer - Hermit Thrush, Winter Wren, Yellow-bellied Sapsucker, Junco and others I don't know or recognize. Fall - Raptor migration can be observed along the ridges. Red-tailed and broad-winged Hawks, Migrating Warblers flying to warmer climates south. Black Bears can be seen foraging for acorns in the dominant oak forests.
Warning - these Bears are wild and potentially dangerous, follow all Park Ranger Instructions.

Here's a little video looking out the hotel room window we stayed at in Wanaque NJ. It's a really picturesque location, something we didn't expect to see in North Jersey. There's a beautiful lake out back with some docks and also mountains. A few geese were there too. A really neat scene!

AMAZING STORY for both home and previous homeowner in Wanaque NJ

Thanksgiving has a whole new meaning for people like Anthony Bodolato who lost both his parents, wife paralyzed by multiple sclerosis, lost his job, use of basic utilities like heat and electricity, life savings, house and....dignity. None of which were by choice, it was because he was thankful for what little he had and he put all his time and resources towards taking care of his parents and wife, sacrificing all else!

For those of you that have been following this page, you know the story from previous posts and videos. What you are about to see is 100% REAL and UNSCRIPTED! Not like that stupid NJ couple who colluded with the homeless guy to generate thousands of dollars of donations to buy BMW's with. Anthony has NOT been back to his childhood home since he left back in May and I'm not asking for any donations.

Watch this video from start to end with the volume turned up. You will see the pain of man who gave it all up for the things that mattered to him the most, his family. He left his family home in shambles, as were his emotions and finances. I welcomed Anthony back to his childhood home to give him an opportunity to remember his childhood home in a positive light and to bring back his dignity.
