INDIA TO NORWAY | Lofoten Islands (Norwegian Fjord) |TRAVEL VLOG #1
This is my journey from INDIA TO NORWAY. It is a Travel Vlog about my adventure in Lofoten Islands. The experiences I had and the breathtaking landscape I came across. This is the first part of a vlog series about this journey in Norway. It was on the top of my Bucket List to see the Northern Lights. This vlog series shares my Experiences of the Northern Lights.
I took a flight from Oslo to Lofoten
Lofoten is a group of Islands much above the Arctic Circle. It is by far the most beautiful place I have been to. It is a paradise for hikers, mountaineers and rock climbers. There are peaks as high as 1200 m and the reward you get on reaching the heights can leave you speechless. The sights from there are one of the most Beautiful on Earth. It is a lesser known place and is catching up with tourists. If you are lucky enough you also get to see the Northern Lights. It also has interesting phenomenons like the Midnight Sun and the Polar Nights.
I have pulled inspiration from some of my favorite travel vloggers on YouTube, such as: +CaseyNeistat +FunForLouis +Jon Olsson +Mr Ben Brown , and other talented travel vloggers that YouTube connects with me.
Check out the second part of the series here

Oslo Capital of Norway
Oslo, the capital of Norway, sits on the country’s southern coast at the head of the Oslofjord. It’s known for its green spaces and museums. Many of these are on the Bygdøy Peninsula, including the waterside Norwegian Maritime Museum and the Viking Ship Museum, with Viking ships from the 9th century. The Holmenkollbakken is a ski-jumping hill with panoramic views of the fjord. It also has a ski museum.

About me:
My name is Eivind, I am a thirty six year old Norwegian guy living in Oslo, Norway. I am quite new to the YouTuber travel vlog sphere, but hope that you find my videos cool, and as time pass by I hope you see my content getting better and better. My goal is trying to enlighten and brighten your day by giving you interesting videos about traveling, meeting people and eating food from all different kinds of cuisines. Another thing that I want is to break down barriers of travel and prejudices of foreign countries and cultures. My opinion is that most people and cultures are friendly, but unfortunately sometimes media gives a biased view.
Usually my travels goes to places that are a bit out of the beaten track, like smaller cities or just less known cities, where I explore the neighborhoods or head into the nature. If possible, I`ll bring my drone also, but this has become more difficult in recent years due to strict regulations. I will also try to make some videos about my home country Norway, one of the most beautiful countries in the world.
On my travels I like to connect with the local people. Usually I do this via Couchsurfing, either just by meeting up with people to explore together or by actually staying at their place. I also wander aimlessly around in places talking to random people.
I do host a lot of people in my place in Oslo, maybe someday it will be you.
One of my biggest passion in life is food. And when cooking and eating together with nice people it`s the best. I make some videos together with some of my guests, these are really fun to make and I also learn to make new dishes. Maybe you can come cook with me?
Another thing I try to is enlighten people about the environment, especially the plastic problem we have all over the world. In almost every country I go to there is garbage all over. I film it and put it in some videos here and there. As a tip for you, try to pick up one piece of plastic everyday, and of course, never throw any in the first place.

Tours of Scandinavia Norwegian Coastal Voyage
NORWEGIAN COASTLINE
Norwegian Coastal Voyage by Hurtigruten Cruises
Hurtigruten Cruise Lines operate all-year round. Summer is the most popular time for exploring Norway’s coast and Geirangerfjord. The daylight above the Arctic Circle lasts around the clock and you have extended time to explore the beautiful coastline and participate in adventure activities, such as whale watching, the sea eagle safari or RIB adventures, under the midnight sun. In spring you have a unique opportunity to experience three seasons in one journey. In just 6 days you will travel from spring and summer in Bergen to full winter in Kirkenes where winter adventures and excursions will be offered. You will explore amazing Lyngenfjord with its unique mountains and breathtaking nature, and many migrating birds that return to the Arctic Coast during the nesting period in spring.
Norwegian Coastal Voyage, also known as Hurtigruten starts in Bergen and takes you along the coast of Norway covering some 2,500 miles (4,000 kilometres), across the Arctic Circle to Kirkenes . You can take a roundtrip Norway Coastal cruise from Bergen to Kirkenes and back, or just one-way North or South bound, or hop-on and hop-off as you wish, a genuine, friendly and exciting voyage which is truly Norwegian awaits you. There are daily departures and frequent stops along the coast. The ships can accommodate cars, making it easy to combine the cruise with a holiday in different places ashore.
Cruising The Norwegian Fjords | Planet Cruise
Towering cliffs overlooking small villages that cling impossibly to the shoreline as waterfalls seem to drop from the clouds… with its fascinating history and unparalleled natural beauty today's episode of PCW is all about the spectacular fjords of Norway -
MORE INFORMATION:
Norway’s majestic natural drama leaves most visitors in awe. Vast craggy cliff faces loom over Fjords and modest fishing villages. The rugged country inland is dotted only by the occasional farm and 13th-Century church. Much of Norway lies inside the Arctic Circle so it’s the place to come to experience the midnight sun, polar nights and the aurora borealis.
Unlike in Alaska, you're less likely to see glaciers and interesting wildlife and more likely to turn your gaze to dramatic waterfalls tumbling down verdant cliffs and mountainsides. Outdoors enthusiasts can get closer with kayaking or hiking trips. Smaller villages along the fjords function more as transit hubs for excursions out to scenic vistas, while Norway's cities give the opportunity to explore excellent museums on the country's maritime history and local culture, as well as shop for its well-regarded woollen products. Adventurous types might want to follow the coastline all the way north, into the Arctic, to spy on polar bears and abandoned mines and to seek out the midnight sun.
With a wide variety of itinerary lengths and ship types, from mainstream to luxury and expedition, cruise travellers have a lot of choices to tailor their Norway cruises to their interests. And with hotel and food prices in Norway being sky high, a cruise can also be the most affordable way to see this northern land.
Planet cruise are the first to give you the most up to date cruise information and news. Not only this we will give you insider cruise-travel tips to maximise your adventures. Whether you are a first time traveller or an experienced traveller, this is the channel for you.

OSLO PASS | Oslo on a budget with Oslo City Pass | Plus, the Viking Ship Museum
Oslo, Norway is an expensive city. Thankfully, you have the option of Oslo Pass, a bundle that can save you money while traveling in Oslo.
Full review of Oslo Pass here:
The Oslo Pass gives you the freedom to travel by bus, tram, underground for free within Zone 1 and 2 - pretty much all of central Oslo. I chose to ride bus 30 to the exciting Bygdøy Peninsula, where two of Oslo's most popular museums are located. By the way, if you have an Oslo Pass, admission to these museums is free - along with about 30 other museums in Oslo!
The Viking Ship Museum is one of the best museums I've ever been in. It was built specifically to house two excavated, well preserved Viking Ships from the 800s. You can also find so many Viking artifacts inside the ship.
Not far from the Viking Museum in Oslo, the Norwegian Museum of Cultural History is also highly recommended. There are around 150 structures here to showcase Norwegian culture and architecture in an open air museum. You can also visit some of the inside exhibits, where you can find several friendly and knowledgeable attendants.
The highlight of the Norsk Folkemuseum is the Stave Church. It was an authentic 13th century wooden church, brought over from Gol. You can step inside to admire its amazing preserved structure, and talk to the attendant lady to learn more about it.
Thanks to Visit Oslo for providing me with an Oslo Pass.

Solo sailing adventure expedition from Nordkapp (Norway) to Stockholm
Solo sailing adventure expedition from Nordkapp (Norway). Sailing away from Nordkapp (Norway) to Stockholm (Sweden) via Torne river on 3,9 m inflatable catamaran. 45 days and 2500 km. Sailing Norway, Sweden and Finland.
I started this sailing adventure expedition from Honningsvag near Nordkapp. I sailed away to south. It was very cold but every sailing day was nice in some way. Sailing catamaran was not the best for heavy or extreme weather. When I was sailing away from coast I had to be very careful as I was sailing on the ocean. I was sailing fast as winds were strong. I filmed this sailing video with gopro. I used Sandiline drysuit and it kept me dry and warm. I had many thermal clothes under it.
