#Nuhash_polli is a charming & beautiful place situated in #gazipur which is created by famous writer #Humayun_Ahmed. It is very nice place to visit with friends & family. It was a dream place of the great writer of Bengali literature Humayun Ahmed, later he was buried here. This place carries his memories. Humayun Ahmed was very fond of music. He loved to live amidst nature and relished the date plantation, which he had set up inside Nuhash Polli.

Nuhash Polli was founded in 1997. Initially it covered 22 bigha of land. Now it covers around 40 bigha. Actor Dr. Ejaz helped procure the land. The heavenly ‘village’ was named after Nuhash, Humayun Ahmed and Gultekin Khan’s (his first wife) son. Ahmed was very fond of music. He loved to live amidst nature and relished the date plantation, which he had set up inside Nuhash Polli.

নুহাশপল্লীর পথে । Walk into the Nuhash Polli - a tribute to Humayun Ahmed
গাজীপুরের পিরুজালী গ্রামের বেশীরভাগ পথই ঘন শালবনে আচ্ছাদিত। আলো আধারিতে ঢেকে থাকা এমনই একটি পথ আপনাকে নিয়ে যাবে গাজীপুর সদর থেকে ২৫ কিলোমিটার দূরে অবস্থিত নুহাশপল্লীতে।
কথার জাদুকর হুমায়ুন আহমেদের জন্য নুহাশপল্লী ছিল একটি স্বর্গ। টিভি নাটক এবং চলচ্চিত্র নির্মাণ শুরু করার পর তিনি তাঁর বেশীরভাগ সময় এখানেই কাটিয়েছেন।
সকলের জন্য উন্মুক্ত নুহাশপল্লীতে আসলে ছবিরমত সুন্দর এই জায়গাটি ঘুরে দেখতে পারবেন।
১৯৮৭ সালে ২২ বিঘা জমির উপর স্থাপিত নুহাশপল্লীর বর্তমান আয়তন প্রায় ৪০ বিঘা। অভিনেতা ডাঃ ইজাজ এখানকার জমিটি কিনতে সহায়তা করেন। হুমায়ুন আহমেদ এবং তাঁর প্রথম স্ত্রী গুলতেকিন আহমেদের একমাত্র পুত্র নুহাশের নামে নুহাশপল্লীর নামকরণ করা হয়েছে।
গান এবং প্রকৃতির সান্নিধ্যে থাকতে ভালবাসতেন হুমায়ুন আহমেদ।জীবদ্দশায় সর্বশেষ নুহাশ পল্লীতে আসার পর তিনি নুহাশ পল্লীতে হেঁটে বেড়িয়েছিলেন এবং একান্ত কিছু মুহূর্ত প্রকৃতির কাছে থেকে অতিবাহিত করেছিলেন।
নুহাশ পল্লীর উত্তর প্রান্তে একটি বড় পুকর রয়েছে যেটির উপর একটি কাঠের সেতু নির্মাণ করা হয়েছে। পুকুরের মাঝে কৃত্রিম দ্বীপ তৈরি করে একটি তাঁবু টানানো হত। হুমায়ুন আহমেদ ও তাঁর স্ত্রী মেহের আফরোজ শাওনের একটি কন্যা সন্তান পৃথিবীর আলো দেখার আগেই মারা যায়। হুমায়ুন আহমেদ তাঁর সেই কন্যার নাম দিয়েছিলেন লীলাবতি। এই পুকুরটির নামও রাখা হয়েছে লীলাবতি। হুমায়ুন আহমেদ লীলাবতি নামে একটি গ্রন্থও রচনা করেছেন।
হুমায়ুন আহমেদ যুক্তরাষ্ট্রে চিকিৎসাধীন থাকার সময় এই পুকুরের পাশেই ‘ভুতবিলাস’ নামে একটি ভবন নির্মাণ করা হয়। জীবদ্দশায় সর্বশেষ নুহাশ পল্লীতে আসার পর হুমায়ুন আহমেদ ভুত বিলাসের উদ্বোধন করেছিলেন। তিনি মনে করতেন মধ্যরাতে ভুতবিলাসের বারান্দায় বসে থাকলে ভুতের দেখা পাওয়া যাবে।
স্থানীয় স্থপতি আসাদুজ্জামান খানের তৈরি করা বেশকিছু ভাস্কর্য রয়েছে নুহাশ পল্লীতে। এখানে প্রবেশের সময় ‘মা ও শিশু’ নামক ভাস্কর্যটি দেখে মুগ্ধ না হয়ে পারবেন না। শিশুদের আনন্দ দিতে এখানে ভুত এবং ব্যাঙের আকারের ভাস্কর্য নির্মাণ করা হয়েছে। এছাড়া এখানকার ট্রি হাউজটি শিশুদের আনন্দের অন্যতম উৎস।হুমায়ুন আহমেদ ভালবাসতেন বৃষ্টি এবং পূর্ণিমার রাত। বৃষ্টি দেখার জন্য তিনি ‘বৃষ্টি বিলাস’ নামে একটি কক্ষ নির্মাণ করেছিলেন। হুমায়ুন আহমেদ যেন চাঁদের ছায়া দেখতে পারেন এজন্য এখানকার সবুজ উঠান সর্বদা পরিষ্কার পরিচ্ছন্ন রাখা হত। নুহাশ পল্লীর ম্যানেজার বুলবুল নয়জনের একটি দল নিয়ে এখানকার সবকিছু দেখাশোনা করেন।
হুমায়ুন আহমেদ যখনই দেশে ও বিদেশে ভ্রমন করতেন তিনি বিভিন্ন রকমের গাছ সংগ্রহ করতেন। নুহাশ পল্লীতে প্রায় ৩০০ প্রজাতির ফলের এবং ঔষধি গাছ রয়েছে। এছাড়া তিনি এখানে খেজুর গাছ এবং চা গাছ লাগিয়েছিলেন যা এখনও আছে।প্রথমদিকে হুমায়ুন আহমেদ নুহাশ পল্লীতে মেহমান নিয়ে আসতেন যারা নুহাশ পল্লী ঘুরে দেখত। তিনি অতিথিদের বিভিন্ন গাছের সাথে পরিচয় করিয়ে দিতেন এবং একটি বিশেষ সুগন্ধিযুক্ত গাছের পাতার স্বাদ গ্রহনের আমন্ত্রন জানাতেন।
বরেণ্য এই লেখকের শোবার ঘরের কাছেই রয়েছে একটি সুইমিংপুল। মাঝে মাঝে প্রিয়জনদের নিয়ে তিনি এখানে সাঁতার কাটতেন। একবার হুমায়ুন আহমেদ ভারতের প্রখ্যাত লেখক সুনীল গঙ্গোপাধ্যায় কে নিয়েও সাঁতার কেটেছিলেন। হুমায়ুন আহমেদের পরিচালিত বেশীরভাগ সফল নাটক ও সিনেমার শুটিং করা হয়েছিল এই নুহাশ পল্লীতেই।
যেভাবে যাবেন -
গাজীপুর জেলার মির্জাপুর ইউনিয়নের পিরুজালি গ্রামে নুহাশপল্লী অবস্থিত। ঢাকা থেকে বাসে করে গাজীপুরের হোতাপাড়া বাসস্ট্যান্ডে পৌছাতে পারবেন। ঢাকা থেকে শ্রীপুর, মাওনা, কাপাসিয়া এবং হোতাপুরের উদ্দেশ্যে প্রভাতি, বনশ্রীসহ বেশকিছু বাসচলাচল করে। বাসে যেতে খরচ হবে ৫০/- টাকা থেকে ৭০/- টাকা।
হোতাপাড়া বাসস্ট্যান্ড থেকে ৮ কিলোমিটার উত্তরে অবস্থিত নুহাশপল্লীতে টেম্পো, রিকশাভ্যান, অথবা বেবিট্যাক্সিতে পৌছাতে পারবেন। টেম্পোতে উঠলে ভাড়া দিতে হবে ৩০/- টাকা। এছাড়া রিকশা এবং ট্যাক্সিতে খরচ হবে যথাক্রমে ৫০/- টাকা থেকে ৬০/- টাকা এবং ১০০/- টাকা থেকে ১২০/- টাকা। ঢাকা থেকে গাড়ি ভাড়া করে অথবা ব্যাক্তিগত গাড়িতে সরাসরি নুহাশপল্লীতে যেতে পারবেন।
নুহাশ পল্লীতে মাত্র একদিনের জন্য পিকনিক করার ব্যবস্থা রয়েছে। এজন্য কটেজের ৪ টি কক্ষ বরাদ্দ করা আছে। নভেম্বর থেকে মার্চ মাস এখানে পিকনিক করা যায়। পিকনিকের জন্য একটি দলে সর্বোচ্চ ৩০০ জন থাকতে পারবে। বন্ধের দিনে এখানে পিকনিক করতে ভাড়া দিতে হবে ৬০/- হাজার টাকা তবে সপ্তাহের অন্যান্য দিনে এই ভাড়ার পরিমান ৫০/- হাজার টাকা। শিক্ষা প্রতিষ্ঠানের জন্য বন্ধের দিন পিকনিক করতে ভাড়া দিতে হবে /- হাজার টাকা এবং সপ্তাহের অন্যান্য দিন ভাড়া দিতে হবে ৪০/- হাজার টাকা।

Most paths in Pirozali village, under Mirzapur union of Gazipur Sadar Upazila, are lined with thick Shal (???) forest. One path with its beautiful play of light and shadow, welcomes passers-by, leading them towards Nuhash Polli, 25 km from Gazipur Sadar. This was the heaven of Humayun Ahmed, a magician of words, who spent most of his time there after he started directing TV plays and films. Nuhash Polli was open to the public and visitors would traverse great distances to get a view of the picturesque estate.
A building called ‘Bhutbilash’ was constructed adjacent to the pond while Ahmed was receiving treatment in USA. The last time he visited Nuhash Polli, inaugurated ‘Bhutbilash’, hoping to behold a ‘ghost’, seated by the veranda of ‘Bhutbilash’ at midnight.

হুমায়ুন আহমেদ এবং তাঁর প্রথম স্ত্রী গুলতেকিন আহমেদের একমাত্র আদরের সন্তান নুহাশের নামে নুহাশপল্লীর নামকরণ করা হয়েছে। ৪০ বিঘা জায়গার উপর মনের মাধুরি মিশিয়ে নুহাশ পল্লীকে এক স্বপ্নজগতের মতো করে গড়ে তুলেছেন বাংলা সাহিত্য অঙ্গনের কিংবদন্তী নায়ক হুমায়ূন আহমেদ।
২৫০ প্রজাতির দূর্লভ ঔষধি, ফলজ, বনজসহ নানা প্রজাতির গাছ, স্যুটিং স্পট, দিঘি আর তিনটি সুদৃশ্য বাংলো, “মা ও শিশু” নামের একটি সুন্দর ভাস্কর্য ছাড়াও আরও সুন্দর এবং মজার বেশ কিছু ভাস্কর্য রয়েছে এখানে। রয়েছে সুন্দর সুইমিং পুল, হুমায়ূন আহমেদের আবক্ষ মূর্তি, দীঘি লীলাবতী, পদ্মপুকুর, পাথরের মৎসকন্যা, প্রাগৈতিহাসিক যুগের প্রাণীদের বেশ কিছু মূর্তিসহ দৃষ্টিনন্দন নানান সব স্থাপত্য।

♦ যেভাবে যাবেনঃ ঢাকা-গুলিস্তান থেকে ছেড়ে আসা প্রভাতি-বনশ্রী বাসে উঠে নেমে যান গাজীপুরের হোতাপাড়া বাজারে, সেখান থেকে টেম্পু বা অটোতে করে সোজা চলে যেতে পারবেন নুহাশ পল্লীতে। নুহাশ পল্লীতে ভালো খাবারের দোকান পাবেন না, তাই হোতাপাড়া বাজার থেকেই নিয়ে নিন খাবার বা অন্য কিছু।

Nuhash Palli is a place where the eminent writer Humayun Ahmed has built a retreat unlike any other.Hundreds throng the site, which is also used as a shooting spot, each day to get a glimpse of the 'world of Humayun Ahmed'. No ticket required. All that needs to be done to gain entry is to convince the security personnel. The lucky ones visiting the site may also come face to face with the writer, who is never hesitant to strike up a conversation. If Lady Luck does not shine, there might still be a filming on inside the premises, which is open for viewing.
Humayun Ahmed introduces first-timers to Nuhash Palli with its wide variety of flora. Once, officials from the Forest Department came to visit, and were amazed by plants which were not even in their own collection. They later borrowed some tree samples from the writer and gifted an entire orange garden, recalls Ahmed.Although it may sound strange to most people, Nuhash Palli has trees “specially designated for ghosts,” according to Ahmed.

নুহাশ পল্লী গাজীপুর জেলার পিরুজ আলী (পিরুজালী) গ্রামে অবস্থিত। প্রয়াত কথাসাহিত্যিক হুমায়ূন আহমেদ ব্যক্তি উদ্যোগে গাজীপুরে নিজ বড় ছেলে নুহাশ হুমায়ূনের নামানুসারে পল্লীটির নাম রেখেছিলেন নুহাশ পল্লী। পারিবারিক বিনোদন কেন্দ্র ও শুটিংস্পট হিসেবে এটি বেশ পরিচিত।
কিভাবে যাবেন?
পুরান ঢাকা থেকে যাবার জন্যে গুলিস্তান থেকে কাপাসিয়াগামী ঢাকা পরিবহনের বাস এবং প্রভাতী বনশ্রীর বরমীগামী বাসে উঠতে হবে। মহাখালী থেকে ময়মনসিংহ/ নেত্রকোনাগামী যেকোন বাসেই আসা যায় তবে এখানে উল্লেখ্য যে, ময়মসিংহের বাস ও প্রভাতী বনশ্রী পরিবহনের বাসগুলো গাজীপুর চৌরাস্তায় অনেকক্ষন দেরি করে কিন্তু সম্রাট লাইন বা রাজদূত বা ডাউন টাউন বা ঢাকা পরিবহনের বাসগুলো যাত্রি নামিয়ে দ্রুত চলে যায়। বাস থেকে হোতাপাড়া নামতে হবে (গাজীপুর চৌরাস্তা থেকে ১২ কিলোমিটার দূরে হোতাপাড়া বাজার)। হোতাপারা থেকে সিএনজি বা লেগুনা বা যান্ত্রিক রিক্সায় নুহাস পল্লীতে যাওয়া যায়।
সময়সূচী এবং প্রবেশমূল্য:
এপ্রিল থেকে নভেম্বর পর্যন্ত নুহাশ পল্লী সকল দর্শনার্থীদের জন্য প্রতিদিন খোলা থাকে। ১২ বছরের উপরে জনপ্রতি টিকেট লাগবে ২০০ টাকা। উল্লেখ্য হুমায়ূন আহমেদের কবর জিয়ারত করতে হলে কোন প্রবেশ মূল্য লাগেনা। কবর জিয়ারতের জন্য মূল ফটকের বাইরে বাম দিয়ে সমাধির জন্য আলাদা আরেকটি ফটক আছে যে কেউ সেই ফটক দিয়ে ঢুকে কবর জিয়ারত করতে পারবেন।
নভেম্বর থেকে মার্চ মূলত পিকনিকের জন্য ভাড়া দেয়া হয়। প্রতিদিন পিকনিকের জন্য ১টি গ্রুপে সর্বোচ্চ ৩০০ জন আসতে পারবে। পিকনিকের জন্য ভাড়া ৬০ হাজার টাকা (সরকারি ছুটির দিনে) এবং অন্যদিন ৫০ হাজার টাকা। তবে পিকনিকের জন্য শিক্ষা প্রতিষ্ঠানের ক্ষেত্রে ভাড়া ৫০ হাজার টাকা (সরকারি ছুটির দিনে) এবং অন্যদিনগুলোতে ভাড়ার ৪০ হাজার টাকা।
কি দেখবেন?
৪০ বিঘা জমির উপর স্থাপিত নুহাশপল্লীর মূল ফটক পেরোলেই চোখে পড়বে সবুজ ঘাসের গালিচা। নুহাশপল্লীর উদ্যানের পূর্বদিকের খেজুর বাগানের পাশে ‘বৃষ্টিবিলাস’ নামে একটি অত্যাধুনিক ঘর রয়েছে। এর ছাদ টিনের তৈরি। মূলত বৃষ্টির শব্দ শুনতেই এতো আয়োজন।
একটু ভেতরে রয়েছে আরেকটি বাংলো, যার নাম ‘ভূতবিলাস’। দুই কক্ষের আধুনিক বাংলোটির পেছনে রয়েছে ছোট পুকুর। যার চারিদিক সুন্দর ঘাসে মোড়া ঢাল দিয়ে ঘেরা, এই ঢালের চারিদিকে রয়েছে গাছ-গাছালি। ভূতবিলাসের পাশ দিয়ে একটি নড়বড়ে কাঠের সাঁকো রয়েছে। এর ওপর দিয়ে হেঁটে পুকুরের মাঝখানের ছোট্ট এক টুকরো দ্বীপাকারের ভূখণ্ডে যাওয়া যায়।
‘নুহাশ পল্লীতে রয়েছে প্রায় ২৫০ প্রজাতির গাছ, ঔষধি গাছের বাগান, হুমায়ুন আহমেদের কটেজ, ট্রিহাউজ, দাবা খেলার এবং নামাজপড়ার কক্ষ, ডিম্বাকৃতির সুইমিংপুল, কাদামাটি ও টিন দিয়ে তৈরি করা শুটিং স্টুডিও। রয়েছে মৎস্যকন্যার মূর্তিসহ একটি পানির রিজার্ভার। এটির পাশে একটি রাক্ষসের মূর্তিও আছে। এছাড়া আছে কনক্রিট দিয়ে তৈরি ডাইনোসারের মূর্তি, প্রাচীন আদলে নির্মিত কিন্তু আধুনিক ঘাট সমৃদ্ধ দিঘাল দীঘি ও লেকের মাঝে বসার জন্য ছোট একটি দ্বীপ। তাছাড়া শালবন, অর্কিড বাগান সহ দেখতে পারবেন আরও তিনটি বাংলো।
থাকা:
নুহাশ পল্লীতে থাকার ব্যবস্থা নাই। ঢাকা থেকে সকালে গিয়ে বিকেলে ফিরে আসা যায়। ঢাকার বাইরে থেকে আসলে গাজিপুর চৌরাস্তা এসে যেকোন হোটেলে থাকতে পারেন। এখানে বিশ্রাম নেবার জন্যে বৃষ্টিবিলাস নামে বাংলো রয়েছে এবং দিনেরভাগে সময় কাটানোর জন্যে ভূত বিলাস নামে বাংলো রয়েছে ভাড়া ৩০০০ থেকে ৫০০০।
খাওয়া:
নুহাশ পল্লীর ভিতরে খাবারের ভাল ব্যবস্থা নাই, সাথে করে খাবার নিয়ে যাওয়াই ভাল। ভিতরে ব্যক্তি উদ্যোগে এক মেনুর খাবার (ভাত+মুরগী+ভর্তা/সবজী) পাওয়া যায় ১২০-১৫০ টাকা।

In 1987, Ahmed founded an estate, Nuhash Palli, named after his son Nuhash, near Pijulia village, 25 km from Gazipur City, in Gazipur District,[55] which grew to cover 40 bigha (approximately 14 acres).[56] He would spend much of his time at the estate when he was in Bangladesh. He formed a collection of statues there by local artist Asaduzzaman Khan and another of plants from around the world, particularly medicinal and fruit-bearing trees.
Humayun Ahmed ([ɦumaijun aɦmed]; 13 November 1948 – 19 July 2012)[2][3] was a Bangladeshi writer, dramatist, screenwriter, filmmaker, songwriter, scholar, and lecturer.[4] His breakthrough was his debut novel Nondito Noroke published in 1972.[5] He wrote over 200 fiction and non-fiction books, many of which were bestsellers in Bangladesh.[6][7] His books were the top sellers at the Ekushey Book Fair during the 1990s and 2000s.[8] He won the Bangla Academy Literary Award in 1981 and the Ekushey Padak in 1994 for his contribution to Bengali literature.
In the early 1990s, Ahmed emerged as a filmmaker. He went on to make a total of eight films - each based on his own novels. He received six Bangladesh National Film Awards in different categories for the films Daruchini Dwip, Aguner Poroshmoni and Ghetuputra Komola.
Music
Ahmed composed around 40 songs which he used in his films and television dramas.[37] The songs were based on the folk music of the north-eastern part of Bangladesh.[37] His notable singles include Lilabali Lilabali Ghoro Joubothi Shoi Go, 'Pubali Batashey, Ekta Chhilo Shonar Konya, O Amar Ural Ponkhi Rey, Jodi Mon Kadey, Ke Porailo Amar Chokh-e Kolonko Kajol, Ami
Aaj Bhejabo Chokh Somudrer Joley, Cholona Brishtitey Bhiji, Channi Poshor Raite Jeno Amar Moron Hoy, Hablonger Bajarey Giya and Konya Nachilo Rey.[37] The songs were rendered by Subir Nandi, S I Tutul, Meher Afroz Shaon and others.[37]
Death
Ahmed had open-heart surgery at Mount Elizabeth Hospital in Singapore.[49] A few years later, during a routine checkup, doctors found a cancerous tumor in his colon. On 14 September 2011, he was flown to Memorial Sloan–Kettering Cancer Center in New York City for treatment.[49] During his stay there, he wrote the novel, Deyal, based on the life of the first President of Bangladesh Sheikh Mujibur Rahman.[50] In January 2012, he was appointed as a senior special adviser of the Bangladesh Mission to the United Nations.[51]
On 12 May 2012, Ahmed returned to Bangladesh for two weeks.[52] He died on 19 July 2012 at 11:20 PM BST at Bellevue Hospital in New York City.[53] There was some tension in the family over the selection of his burial site, but eventually his estate, Nuhash Palli was selected.[1][54]
