The International Petroleum Museum and Exposition and the Diving and R.O.V. Museum
This is an aerial drone production I put together for the International Petroleum Museum and Exposition and the Diving and R.O.V. Historical Preservation Museum. They are a non-profit corporation established for the purpose of educating the general public, and the next generation, on the significance of the offshore oil and gas industry and its effect on the local area, the state, the nation, and the world.

The city features an array of lodging options, including hotels such as the historic Hotel Galvez and Tremont House, the San Luis Resort and Spa and Conference Center, Moody Gardens Hotel, Spa, and Convention Center, vintage bed and breakfast inns, beachfront condominiums, and resort rentals. THANKS FOR WATCHING!!
We spent some time at the Texas City Museum during their Maritime Exhibition.
With several special exhibits and presenters, we saw and learned a lot…and had some fun too.
Links are below for more information.
As a bonus, the second floor of the museum is home to the Galveston County Model Railroad Club. All I can say is Wow…incredible attention to detain in some of those setups. The main model railroad displays are only open on Saturdays, but they do have some exhibits available on the balcony.
Here’s the links I mentioned…and our list of things to see keeps growing!

Galveston Naval Museum part 2
USS Stewart
We’re back at the Galveston Naval Museum, this time to climb aboard the DE-238, the USS Stewart, a WW2 destroyer escort.
Built in Houston Texas, the USS Stewart had a minimum crew of 209 sailors consisting of 8 officers and 201 Enlisted men and was considered “state of the art” at the time.
The Stewart has 30+ missions across the North Atlantic to her record. But that’s not all…she escorted President Roosevelt on a mission across the Atlantic, earning her the title of The President’s Escort.
The “history lesson” we caught was presented by author and Retired Navy Master Chief, Master Diver Ross Garcia who serves as Ship Superintendent for the Galveston Naval Museum in Galveston, Texas. His book, “View through a Faceplate Window” is available at Amazon and through the Galveston Naval Museum.
Part of the fun of the RV lifestyle are the new friends we make as we go. Friends like Tom and Stacie. We’re very happy to give them a shout out on our channel. The have a terrific website and YouTube Channel, so check them out! You’ll fine them at or YouTube at
Hope you enjoyed this brief tour (we were on board for over 2 hours!). If you want to learn more about the Galveston Naval Museum and the USS Stewart, visit
Know before you go:
The museum is located on Pelican Island at Seawolf Park. There is a charge for parking in addition to museum admission.
Wear appropriate footwear…decks and stars can be slippery if wet.
Watch your head in the hatches. (Yes, I learned that the hard way ????)

Upside Down Pangborn
He was larger than life. A fearless, barnstorming aviator who flew into history by piloting the first non-stop flight across the Pacific. He was a hero at a time when heroes mattered and legends were still being written. Clyde Pangborn was swallowed up by time and nearly forgotten by history. Until now. Meet the man who entered the pantheon of aviators by doing want no one had ever done.
