Oconee State Park: Hidden Falls Trail
Chuckwagon and Hey Bear hike the Hidden Falls Trail at Oconee State Park near Mountain Rest South Carolina. This is a 2.1 (4+ miles round trip) mile hike beginning at the Foothills Trail terminus at Oconee State Park (the first mile or so is on the Foothills Trail) to a 60 ft. waterfall. This was our first time hiking in a drenching rain. It is a fun hike with a view of Tamassee Ridge and a beautiful waterfall at the end.

RV Camping-Dreher Island State Park-South Carolina
This week we rv camped and stayed for 3 nights in Dreher Island State Park near Lexington South Carolina! We were once again visiting Alli's brother in Lexington while camping at Dreher Island which was only a few miles but nearly an hour drive as it would take 10 minutes just to drive through the park to the exit and then all the way around Lake Murray!
We learned some interesting family facts along the way about Lake Murray and Alli's family ties to that area and the Wyse Ferry Bridge.
It was a beautiful park with the fall leaves in full color and most certainly we will stay here again in the future. A lot of the sites are waterfront with great views of Lake Murray.

Chau Ram County Park in Oconee County, South Carolina
This is a video and photo compilation of my vacation to Chau Ram County Park in Oconee County, South Carolina. This park is known as '' one of South Carolinas best kept secrets'' since few people know about it. The suspension bridge in this video is the largest suspension bridge in Oconee county and the largest suspension bridge I have seen in person. Jones Gap State Park - Rainbow Falls in South Carolina. So much fun. We ate a picnic lunch at the top, next to a 100 foot tall waterfall.
Enjoy the Swamp Rabbit Trail
The Swamp Rabbit Trail is a 21-mile multi-use greenway. It runs along an old railroad corridor, the Reedy River, and through City parks.
It offers fun, non-motorized recreation and transportation opportunities.
Varying from 8 to 12 feet wide, the trail features a paved surface for bicycles, skaters and walkers, with an additional rubberized surface for runners. Amenities along the trail include lighting, picnic areas, benches, water fountains, restrooms, signage and bicycle racks. Views of the Reedy River are plentiful throughout the trail.
A 2014 study estimated that more than a half million people annually use the trail, a quarter of whom are tourists.[11] [13] In 2016, Greenville County Recreation estimated the trail's economic impact on the county to be $7 million per year.[14]
The Swamp Rabbit Trail has been described as one of the most popular assets in Greenville County...proving that when it comes to such trails, if you build them they will come.

Trailside Camping Paris Mountain State Park Greenville SC
Test video showing a slide show of a hike and overnight camp at Paris Mountain State Park in Greenville SC. We Hiked the Brissy Ridge Loop 2.4 miles, Pipsissewa 1 mile out and back 2 miles total, and the North Lake Loop 1.2 miles. Total miles hiked 5.6 miles.
Camp was a nice plateau over looking the reservoir. A fire ring with grill, lantern pole, and pick nick table was provided. We filtered water from the lake.
For fun on this trip I enjoyed using some military surplus items.
