The CHINA XIXI WETLANDS
In today’s VLOG, February 2nd, we get another fancy hotel meal. Then we head to the XiXI (moist) Wetlands. Joining me today is the crew from Raising Shanghai. Today I am also using the Zhiyun Crane-M in the beginning of the vlog.
Raising Shanghai:
The JY_VLOG is a series of semi-daily videos about my life living abroad in China. Early videos follow my expedition up Everest, and future videos will follow me as I cycle around the world from Ningbo, China to Los Angeles, USA. But for now, the VLOGs follow my everyday life in China, and give you a glimpse thru my lens at what its like to live in Asia, and all the hilarity and drama that ensues. Ohh.. and I have a reef tank, fly drones and ride trikes… so if that wets your fancy, subscribe to see more every day.

ULTRA HD 4K HONG KONG WETLAND PARK | 香港濕地公園
#香港濕地公園 #wetland #hongkong #hongkongwetlandpark #park
Welcome to our Hong Kong Walking Tour in Hong Kong Wetland Park 香港濕地公園. Our video is filmed in Ultra HD 4K, crystal clear quality, as if you are actually here. We filmed the first section of the park as Wetland Park is very big.
'Hong Kong Wetland Park is a conservation, education and tourism facility, located at the northern part of Tin Shui Wai, in Yuen Long. It was to be an ecological mitigation area (EMA) for the wetlands lost due to Tin Shui Wai New Town development.
The Hong Kong Wetland Park comprises a 10,000-square-metre (110,000 sq ft) visitor centre, Wetland Interactive World, and a 60-hectare (150-acre) Wetland Reserve. The Wetland Interactive World has themed exhibition galleries, a theatre, a souvenir shop, an indoor play area (swamp adventure) and a resource centre.
The park is best known recently for its slogan seen on MTR stations, Unroll the Hong Kong diverse green temptations[1][2]
Wetland Park currently holds the highest recorded temperature in Hong Kong, at 42.1 °C (108 °F) on the day before Typhoon Hato.[3]
Themed exhibition galleries with floor areas ranging from 250 to 1,200 square metres (2,700 to 12,900 sq ft) showcase the importance of wetland on biodiversity, civilisation and conservation. Visitors can learn more about the native flora and fauna of Hong Kong through the animals and models displayed in the Living Wetland Gallery, such as false gharial, mouse deer and green turtle.
Crabs found in Wetland indoor Aquarium
A view from the telescope found in the Wetland Bird Watch Tower
The Wetland Reserve consists of re-created habitats designed for water fowls and other wildlife. The Wetland Discovery Centre, located in the Wetland Reserve, provides visitors more hands-on experience on local wetlands. Other facilities include Stream Walk, Succession Walk, Mangrove Boardwalk and three bird hides situated next to the fish pond, mudflat and riverside, leading visitors to venture habitats of wildlife such as fiddler crab, mudskipper and the rare black-faced spoonbill.
Pui Pui is a crocodile's name, which is a Chinese pun[citation needed] indicating that it came from Shan Pui River and is the apple of the public's eye.
On 29 August 2006 she was moved into her landscaped enclosure and can be easily viewed by the public. Pui Pui's Home was designed to provide the reptile with a healthy and comfortable living environment.
The outdoor enclosure is 8 by 9 metres (26 by 30 ft), of which 70% is pool area. With a maximum depth of 1-metre (3 ft 3 in), the pool is landscaped with plants to provide sheltered areas, hiding places and basking areas for the reptile. Outdoor facilities include infra-red heaters, a heat pad and a weighing scale. Water in the pool is continuously circulated through a filtration system.'

Talent Park Amazing Light Show and Hundreds of Drones Fly in Wonderful Formation 2020 Shenzhen China
If you are in Shenzhen and looking for attractions to see, you must catch the Talent Park Skyline’s light show. The Shenzhen light show is Mainland China’s answer to Symphony of lights in Hong Kong.
The Talent Park is the first park in China with the theme of awarding and motivating talents. The talent element of modern art is an important space characteristic of the park. It is located in Shenzhen’s Nanshan District. The park was built in 2017 and is one of Shenzhen’s newest and most popular parks.
The park’s lake water source comes from the outer sea and the city centre river. By arranging different plants for freshwater wetlands, rain gardens and seawater wetlands a beautiful scenery is formed, which also optimizes the water environment habitat. The flexible vertical design ensures the adaptability of the park to rainwater management in extreme weather conditions. The different scales of space around the waterfront provide a variety of relationship experiences between people and water, realizing people's natural intimacy with water. The park also functions as a theatre of time and city life, hosting various acts every day.
Talent Park’s light show is amazing and wonderful. It’s displayed across multiple skyscrapers, you can easily find a spot to enjoy the beautiful show.
The light show is on every night, there are several different themes; seasons, people, animals and more. And during the show, there is music that’s played throughout the park. During weekends, they may use hundreds of drones flying in Formation.
