Artist builds his Savannah studio with shipping containers
Architect, artist, designer Julio Garcia had been designing plans for shipping container homes for a decade before he found the perfect place to build one: on a long, narrow stretch of his property in Savannah, Georgia. “I’m a big believer we should be adapting to the environment… I remember walking out and looking at the yard and thinking oh my god the land is calling for this linear design.”
He picked up two 40 foot shipping containers from the Port of Savannah and, thanks to much advance planning, he was able to install them without removing one tree from his property. He offset the two boxes, cut out the interior container walls and added I-beams, a shed roof and clerestory windows in the center to provide plenty of daylighting.
“There’s nothing worse than feeling like you’re inside a container so in the design we had to address that. I’ve been in a couple of projects and they don’t function very well and you’re like, ‘Oh, I still feel like I’m in a metal box’.”
Garcia believes containers can make for affordable homes: “you could put up a structure like this for about 50K”, but much of the interior was salvaged from other job sites (i.e. the drywall and the kitchen). His Price Street Projects creates plans that are “almost do-it-yourself plans” for shipping container homes and he has installed commercial container spaces, but he’s a big believer that the site should determine the design.

Listening is a more natural way of learning, when compared to reading. Written language only began at around 3200 BC, but spoken language has existed long ago.
Learning by listening is a great way to:
- increases imagination and understanding
- improves your listening skills
- improves your own spoken accent
- learn while on the move
- reduce eye strain
Now learn the vast amount of general knowledge available on Wikipedia through audio (audio article). You could even learn subconsciously by playing the audio while you are sleeping! SUMMARY
=======
Savannah () is the oldest city in the U.S. state of Georgia and is the county seat of Chatham County. Established in 1733 on the Savannah River, the city of Savannah became the British colonial capital of the Province of Georgia and later the first state capital of Georgia. A strategic port city in the American Revolution and during the American Civil War, Savannah is today an industrial center and an important Atlantic seaport. It is Georgia's fifth-largest city, with a 2017 estimated population of 146,444. The Savannah metropolitan area, Georgia's third largest, had an estimated population of 387,543 in 2017.Each year Savannah attracts millions of visitors to its cobblestone streets, parks, and notable historic buildings: the birthplace of Juliette Gordon Low (founder of the Girl Scouts of the USA), the Georgia Historical Society (the oldest continually operating historical society in the South), the Telfair Academy of Arts and Sciences (one of the South's first public museums), the First African Baptist Church (one of the oldest African-American Baptist congregations in the United States), Temple Mickve Israel (the third oldest synagogue in America), and the Central of Georgia Railway roundhouse complex (the oldest standing antebellum rail facility in America).Savannah's downtown area, which includes the Savannah Historic District, the Savannah Victorian Historic District, and 22 parklike squares, is one of the largest National Historic Landmark Districts in the United States (designated by the U.S. government in 1966). Downtown Savannah largely retains the original town plan prescribed by founder James Oglethorpe (a design now known as the Oglethorpe Plan). Savannah was the host city for the sailing competitions during the 1996 Summer Olympics held in Atlanta.

Lake Maracaibo, Venezuela, is the unofficial lightning capital of the world. There, lightning strikes occur, on average, 300 days a year. When dangerous storms approach, most people flee. But 21-year-old Jonas Piontek does just the opposite. The German photographer stays put in the face of certain danger to capture amazing photographs of the electric storms.

14. Yellow Anaconda
When most people think of an anaconda, they are thinking of the green anaconda. But the yellow anaconda is the smallest species of anaconda there is, if you can consider it small! It reaches a maximum length of 10 feet (3 m). As its name suggests, this type of snake is usually yellow or greenish yellow with black or dark brown blotches, spots, and streaks.
It is native to Paraguay, Bolivia, southern Brazil, and northern Argentina. They are threatened by illegal poaching and are hunted for their meat and skins.
Anaconda generally refers to the Eunectes genus of snakes which are members of the boa family. Unlike most snakes that usually lay eggs, anacondas give birth to live young and live near bodies of water. If they catch their meal in the water, they will suffocate it to and/or drown it, whichever comes first!
The Yellow Anaconda is no exception and it is also not a picky eater! They’ll eat just about anything they can swallow. The Telegraph newspaper reported a story about wildlife photographer Chris Brunskill who captured a ferocious battle between a jaguar and a yellow anaconda! Who do you think the winner was? Let us know in the comments below! The answer is coming up!!
13. Eastern Indigo Snake
Indigo snakes are the longest snake species in the United States. The longest recorded specimen of the species measured over 9 feet (2.8 m) long! They’re called indigo snakes because their scales are a shiny blackish purple. They are not venomous but they do prey on other snakes, frogs, turtles, lizards, birds, and mammals including mice and rats. They are a bit uncommon and usually are only found in southeastern states like Georgia and Florida- you know how much snakes like Florida! A curious fact is that they love to wander, females will often live in an area of about 100 acres and males will use even 4 times that amount of space. They may often be found sharing a burrow with a gopher tortoise to protect them from the cold. They are listed as a threatened species because so many people have gone out into the wild to collect them for the pet trade.
Speaking of being threatened, if the Eastern Indigo feels attacked, it will flatten its head, and hiss and vibrate its tail. Vibrating its tail produces a rattling sound that mimics the rattle of a rattlesnake. However, these snakes rarely bite and, when they do, remember, it is not venomous.
12. Bushmaster
This is the largest pit viper in the world! The bushmaster’s scientific name translated from latin literally means “Silent”.
A pit viper is a type of venomous snake that possesses a sensitive pit that allows it to accurately aim when striking. The pit allows it to detect another creature’s heat signature. How’s that for a super power! Not only can they see the world in the visible light spectrum like we can, but the pit serves as heat sensors, so they can also see in the infrared spectrum.
Native to the scrublands and forests of southern central America to northern South America, it prefers damp areas with lots of rain. Their population is actually unknown because they live in dense forests and unexplored areas.
There are three species of pit vipers and they are all large. The bushmaster ranges from 6.5 feet (2 m) to over 12 feet (3.5 m) making them the longest venomous snake found in the Americas!! They are considered the 2nd longest venomous snake in the world after the king cobra.
A bushmaster may wait for weeks in a single location, waiting to ambush its prey, which is usually rodents. Few people have been bitten but just that little amount of data suggests that there is an 80% mortality rate, also making this snake the deadliest snake in the Americas. Fun fact: They are also the only egg-laying pit viper found in the Americas as well. This snake breaks all kinds of records!

11. Waverly Hills Sanatorium
Hospitals alone can be a very scary place. The sounds of the machines, the hustle and bustle of the personnel as they try to save lives. The lighting that sometimes seems off. And the fact that you may have a potentially life-altering surgery or operation happen to you, or you may not leave said hospital because of an illness can be terrifying to anyone.
10. Door to Hell
Ok, don't panic! I don't mean the LITERAL door, I mean a more metaphorical one. For sometimes, a scary place is one that looks so intimidating and frightening that it doesn't need a paranormal reason to exist. And this one actually has a scientific reason for its birth.
9. Helltown
Hey! Don't blame me for these names! I didn't come up with them.
Anyway, in Ohio, there is an area that was formerly called the Boston Township. In the 70's, the government bought out the land and forced the residents to move in order for reconstruction to take place. Specifically, a national park was going to be put there.
8. The Death Road
Again I do not come up with these names. However, this one isn't just accurate, it's scary accurate. When you drive on your road in your hometown or city, the only things you have to fear are other motorists, the occasional deer running across the roads, and potholes. Right? Well, in Bolivia, there was, and technically still is, a road that was so treacherous that it claimed the lives of hundreds every year.
7. Stull, Kansas
Sometimes the creepiest places are ones that help tell their own story. Stull, Kansas is a very small town. In fact, there's only about 20 people living there. But, it's the true history of the town that has helped build its legend. There was a farmer who had to burn his field, and he did so.
6. Taylor Glacier
Here's a case of nature making a scary thing without a single helping hand from humanity. In Antarctica, there is a waterfall...that is red. Like, really red. Don't worry, it's not blood, but when you look at Taylor Glacier you can't help but think it's bleeding.
5. Athens Lunatic Asylum
Oh yeah, you can't have a scariest places on Earth without at least one insane asylum. And this one is ranked as unlucky 13th in the Scariest Places On Earth by a prominent group. So, why is it much higher here? Well, again, it's the history that sells it.
4. Tower Of London
Oh yes, even the rich and powerful have places that are haunted. And the Tower of London is arguably one of the most famous haunted places on Earth. What's more, the rumors of who haunts this place are nobles from the past. Including Arabella Stuart.
3. Death Valley
A classic location with an iconic name, Death Valley earned its moniker in many ways. First off, it's home to the second-highest temperature ever recorded on Earth, a scorching 137 degrees. More than enough to kill humans and animals within minutes if not properly protected.
2. Savannah, Georgia
While it's true I've listed a town in the list before, and I'm sure I'll show you another one, this particular one is interesting because not only is Savannah, Georgia still very well populated, it's hailed as one of the gems of the south.
1. Nagoro, Japan
On top of my list is a place that was literally built to be creepy depending on how you look at it.
Nagoro, Japan is a real village, and it's still there today. And at one time, it had a very modest community. Yet, as life went on, the people of the small town moved away or died.

Inside the Mind of Jeffrey Dahmer: Serial Killer’s Chilling Jailhouse Interview
Warning: This video contains graphic descriptions of violence. Twenty-four years ago, Jeffrey Dahmer was beaten to death in prison while serving 16 life sentences. In 1993, the man known as “the Milwaukee Cannibal” granted Inside Edition a jailhouse interview and was forthright about his crimes. During his reign of terror between 1978 and 1991, Dahmer killed 17 men and boys and kept some of their body parts in freezers inside his home. He was eventually arrested in 1991 when a victim escaped.

How Deep Does Your Pocket Need To Be To Rent RV Parking With Reserve America
When you and your loved ones, including friends, are making plans to go traveling while on a vacation, using recreation vehicles (RV) you need to check out prices before you rent RV parking especially if you have to make or rent RV parking from Reserve America. You may be quite surprised if you do not check pricing first, as it can be quite expensive to rent RV parking space or for your motor homes when dealing with Reserve America.
Additionally, you need to remember that Reserve America has odd ways to reserve lots and campgrounds as you should know this as well. The way that Reserve America can cause a lot of confusion, for example, you may want a spot in one of their National Parks on July 1 yet you would have to call in December to reserve the space for June. However, many people are seeing available lots to rent RV parking and when they get ready to rent them it will say that those lots are already reserved it has been said that Reserve America will reply with answers such as; you should of made the reservation in the winter months.
1. When going on road trips and packing up your RV to set out for fun you will normally have some type of knowledge or interaction with Reserve America. Especially, if it is a National park in which you are going to rent RV parking. This is why it is of the up-most importance to check on the place you are going to rent RV parking and just as important to get all the information, you will need when you do rent from Reserve America.
2. By simply doing a little research first will save you many hassles when you are finally at your destination. Obviously, depending on the state and the time of year will influence the available rental lots and how much money you could pay a day, week or month. You need to know this as well as what to expect when you get to the rented lot you have paid a down payment on.
3. When you are checking the number of days and the amount of money you are going to have to pay you need to be sure and read all of the expectations of the campers. This includes how many people can be at one site, how much it is going to cost you just to enter the campgrounds and other fees such as firewood, primitive lots, and electric rent RV parking each are priced differently.
4. Now you have a good idea just how expensive it is going to be for you when having to use Reserve America for any of the rent RV parking within the states. Although off-season will be a little less you must remember that the daily fee does not include any of the extra fees and taxes, which are different in each state.
5. Moreover, if you are planning a trip across the states and you have chosen to stay at two or three different campsites each will have different pricing for rent RV parking. The prices for each site you have chosen through Reserve America are without question going to be expensive. Especially in the summer months as no matter the time of year as Reserve America is expensive either way.
As a non-resident to whatever states you stay you will have to pay more to just enter the park costing anywhere from nine dollars to fifteen dollars a vehicle. Add that to the daily fee of rent RV parking you will pay and the expense of using Reserve America you will definitely be digging deeper than your pockets go in order to be able to rent the site not including the amount of money spent to have food and electric in the RV. Be careful and read all of information possible to make sure you have enough money to pay the rent RV parking.

The English Language in 67 Accents & Random Voices
Brought to you by Jake Wardle at My third big accents video! A follow up of 'The English Language in 24 Accents' that unexpectedly went viral in September 2010 and 'The English Language in 30 Accents (Animated)' from July 2012. I have included all of the accents from my previous videos although I have relabelled some of them based on feedback.
I start with accents from my own country and then move on to other countries around the world and then progress to other random voices which are not all accent specific but refer to different types of people including but not limited to; film and video-game characters and video-game races.
I have also added subtitles this time because it was a heavily requested feature in my previous two videos. The subtitles include a few slang/ dialect translations in brackets.
I picked up most of these accents and voices from TV, Movies, Video-games, internet and real life experiences. I apologise for the all the accents and voices that I didn't include or got wrong but it would be impossible to imitate every accent and voice on the entire planet (let alone do them all perfectly) I am only human after all.
Accents labeled with unspecified variant mean that I am unsure of the specific type/region the accent is from and that it does not represent everyone from that country.
I myself am a British, Southern English Londoner and my natural accent (that you hear at the beginning and end of the video) is a mixture of Formal RP and Cockney.
Finally, I would like to say a huge thank you to all my friends, family, viewers, and subscribers around the world who have supported me over the years.

US Hydraulic Elevator at Residence Inn, Henderson NV
Riding the elevator at the Residence Inn in Henderson, Nevada. This hotel is about 5 or 6 miles from the Las Vegas strip. I would say this elevator is from the 1980s or thereabouts.
