Ogami-jima has less than 30 residents and is a 10 minute ferry ride from Shimajiri in Miyako-jima. The island has a large, open ground suitable for picnics and outdoor games.

Miyako Island (Miyakojima), located 300 kilometers south of Okinawa Main Island, is known for some of Japan's best beaches and as a great destination for diving and snorkeling in the coral reefs.
The island is the fourth largest island in Okinawa Prefecture. It is mostly covered by sugar cane fields and a few towns, among which Hirara is the largest with a moderate range of eating place, such as restaurants and bars. Resort hotels and pensions are found across the island. Unlike other parts of Okinawa, there are no habu snakes in Miyako.
Miyako Island offers a small range of other attractions, including places of natural beauty and cultural interest, and a couple of elegant bridges to neighboring islands.
Cape Higashi-Hennazaki
The cape of Higashi-henna-zaki (東平安名岬) is a nationally-designated Place of Scenic Beauty located at the southeasternmost point of Miyako. At the very end of the cape is a white lighthouse which gives 3200 panorama view of the ocean, a very popular spot for sunrise viewing.

Miyako Island is a relatively small island, measuring about 25 kilometers from south to north and about 15 kilometers from east to west.
A rental car is the most convenient means of getting around Miyako.

Miyako islands are consists of Miyako, Irabu, Shimoji, Ogami, Tarama, Ikema, Kurima in Okinawa pref, full of beautiful beach, golf, cat and goat and nice foods.

[Travel] Day trip to a sacred island, Kudaka Jima, Okinawa
An island named as Kudaka Jima is located near Okinawa. This island is believed as the origin of Okinawa islands. I'm not sure I could understand her totally, but as I understood, this island was forbidden to men to enter before. and recently the island was opened to travelers. Even now they have some places forbidden to go inside-some places to pray, and beaches.
We visited there with a guide from Airbnb trip. We could ride bike whole island and could snorkel on the beach near small port. The host was super kind and worth to visit together.

平戸島最南端の宮之浦漁港の堤防から遥かに霞んで見える「尾上島燈台」まで飛んでみました。
途中で通過する「高島」は母の故郷です。
昔は子供もいっぱいいて小学校の分校がありました。
今は僕の従兄家族を含めて数世帯しか残っていません。
生憎の曇り空でしかも日没前のくらい空でしたが、HMDの鮮明さは抜群なので安心して往復できました。
距離は志々伎山の時より遠かったのですが、高度は低いのでお気楽飛行でした♪

From Aka Island, we walked over to Geruma Island. Roundtrip, this took a few hours to walk since we kept stopping to take videos/pictures.
