Another Video above Munich ! This time I flew at the West and Olympiapark, both are very nice places to relax and enjoying life. You can reach the Westpark and Olympiapark with the Munich underground (MVG) it is very easy to find.

Selbst geflogen bin ich nur im Westpark die Aufnahmen vom Olympiapark stammen von jemand anderen. Geschnitten und bearbeitet hab ich das Video mit Final Cut Pro X.

Der Westpark: (Wikipedia)
Der Westpark ist eine Parkanlage im Münchner Stadtbezirk Sendling-Westpark. Er wurde für die Internationale Gartenbauausstellung (IGA) 1983 angelegt und ist seit deren Ende frei zugänglich. Der Westpark ist nach einer Erweiterung bei einer Ost-West-Ausdehnung von etwa 2,4 Kilometern 69 Hektar groß. Er wird durch den Mittleren Ring (Garmischer Straße) in einen Ost- und einen Westabschnitt geteilt, die durch eine begrünte, breite Fußgänger- und Fahrradüberführung verbunden sind.
Zum Freizeitangebot des Parks gehören Spiel- und Sportplätze, Grillgelegenheiten, zwei Biergärten, ein Restaurant sowie Spazier- und Fahrradwege. Blumen- und Staudengärten, ein Alpinum, ein Rosengarten, ein historischer Garten, ein Blindengarten, das Ostasien-Ensemble mit Gärten und Bauten sowie weitere Nationengärten sind Anziehungspunkte für die Besucher und machen den Westpark zum meistbesuchten städtischen Park in München.[1] Weiterhin ist der Park schon seit der Gartenbau-Ausstellung Standort mehrerer bedeutender Kunstwerke im öffentlichen Raum.

The Westpark is a large urban public park in Munich, Germany. It was designed by landscape architect Peter Kluska and completed in 1983. It hosted the International Garden Expo 83 that same year. The park covers an area of 720,000 m2 (7,750,016 sq ft) (178 acres) extending 2.6 km from east to west. The Garmischer Straße divides the park into an eastern and western section.

Der Olympiapark in München war der Veranstaltungsort der XX. Olympischen Sommerspiele 1972 und befindet sich im Münchner Stadtbezirk 11 Milbertshofen-Am Hart auf dem Areal Oberwiesenfeld. Bis heute ist er Austragungsort für sportliche Veranstaltungen sowie Veranstaltungsort für kulturelle, gesellschaftliche oder religiöse/weltanschauliche Veranstaltungen beziehungsweise Gottesdienste. Verwaltet wird der Olympiapark durch die Olympiapark München GmbH, eine hundertprozentige Beteiligungsgesellschaft der Landeshauptstadt München.

At a height of 190 m there is an observation platform as well as a small rock and roll museum housing various memorabilia, which is signposted as Rock Museum outside the entrance. Since its opening in 1968, the tower has registered over 35 million visitors (as of 2004). At a height of 182 m there is a revolving restaurant, which seats 230 people. A full revolution takes 53 minutes. The tower also serves as a broadcast tower, and has one Deutsche Telekom maintenance elevator with a speed of 4 m/s, as well as two visitor lifts with a speed of 7 m/s which have a capacity of about 30 people per car. The travel time is about 30 seconds. The tower is open daily from 09:00 to 24:00.

Der Olympiaturm - Olympic Tower ist ein Fernsehturm, ein Aussichtsturm mit einem Drehrestaurant in München und eines der Wahrzeichen der Stadt und des Olympiaparks. Der Olympiaturm befindet sich im Olympiapark südlich des Georg-Brauchle-Rings zwischen Olympia-Schwimmhalle im Westen und Olympia-Eislaufzentrum im Osten. Nach dem Nürnberger Fernsehturm ist er das zweithöchste Bauwerk in Bayern. Das Drehrestaurant vollzieht in 49 bzw. 70 Minuten eine 360-Grad-Drehung und liegt in 181 m Höhe mit 230 Sitzplätzen. Höhen der drei Aussichtsplattformen innen 185 m und aussen 189 m, 192 m.

What an awesome attraction! This tower is on Munich's olympic grounds, which still houses the stadiums and fields from the olympic games of 1972. For the most part, the stadiums aren't open to the public, but you are free to walk around the grounds!
The rock museum was a complete surprise, and was worth checking out on it's own!
I highly recommend giving this place a stop if you are in the city!

München Olympiaturm
Wenn man in München ist, darf man sich den Olympiaturm auf keinen Fall entgehen lassen. Er ist das höchste Gebäude der Stadt und damit eine der Sehenswürdigkeiten schlechthin. München Olympiaturm, das gehört zusammen! Man hat meistens eine wunderbare Aussicht über die Stadt bis hin zu den Alpen. Leider konnten wir dieses mal nicht viel von München sehen aber über den Wolken zu stehen ist auch ein Erlebnis.

Olympiapark, Munich - Germany HD Travel Channel
The Olympiapark - Olympic Park - in Munich is one of the largest recreation areas in Bavarian provincial capital Munich. Besides the sports centers from of the 1972 Summer Olympics (officially Games of the XX Olympiad) the Olympic lake and the Olympiaberg -- Olympic mountain - are to the central elements of the park, developed on a drawing-board.
The Olympic hill was built from the ruins of the 2nd World war destroyed houses in Munich. It allows a wonderful view over sports facilities designed by the architectural firm Behnisch & Partners. The glassy tent-roof, designed by the German architect and structural engineer Frei Otto, gives the stadium an ease that seemed tailor-made for the happy atmosphere of the Olympics. However the terrorist attack of 1972 turned the atmosphere into horror.
The outstanding athlete of these games was the U.S. world class swimmer Mark Spitz with 7 victories, in each case setting a new world record.
Today, the Olympic Park is primarily used for athletic competitions and cultural events.

Der Olympiapark in München ist eines der größten Erholungsgebiete der bayrischen Landeshauptstadt München. Neben den Sportstätten der Olympischen Sommerspiele 1972 (offiziell Spiele der XX. Olympiade) gehören der Olympiasee und der Olympiaberg zu den zentralen Elementen dieser auf dem Reißbrett entstandenen Anlage.
Der Olympiaberg entstand aus den Trümmern der im 2. Weltkrieg zerstörten Häuser Münchens. Er erlaubt einen herrlichen Ausblick auf die vom Architektenbüro Behnisch & Partner entworfenen Sportanlagen. Das gläserne Zeltdach, von Frei Otto konstruiert, verleiht dem Stadion eine Leichtigkeit die zur fröhlichen Stimmung der Olympiade maßgeschneidert schien.
Der Terroranschlag von 1972 ließ diese Stimmung jedoch in Entsetzen umschlagen. Der herausragende Athlet dieser Spiele war der US-amerikanische Weltklasseschwimmer Mark Spitz mit 7 Siegen, wobei er jeweils einen neuen Weltrekord aufstellte.
Heute wird das Olympiagelände hauptsächlich für Leichtathletik-Wettkämpfe und kulturelle Veranstaltungen genutzt.
