Wallberg | Tegernsee Germany | My Most Memorable Journey from Munich | 360
English / German / Hindi Subtitles included.
Let me take you to this incredible journey of Wallberg and Tegernsee. #Wallberg #Tegernsee #Munich #insta360onex
Wallberg:
The Wallberg has made history as the starting point for large distance flights of paragliders and hang-gliders. The Wallberg toboggan run is Germany's longest winter toboggan run. The Wallberg race on the Wallbergstraße, one of the best-known automobile mountain races in the 1960s, has not been held for some time for ecological reasons.
The ascent from the Wallbergbahn valley station near Rottach-Egern leads over a saddle to the left past the Setzberg (1,706 m) to the mountain station of the Wallbergbahn. The Wallberg panorama restaurant is located 1,623 m above sea level. After another 30 minutes you reach the summit.
The transmitter Wallberg is on the mountain.
==============================================
Tegernsee:
Tegernsee is a resort town in Bavaria, Germany, on the shore of Tegernsee lake. Surrounding it is the forested Tegernsee Valley in the Bavarian Alps, laced with ski trails, toboggan runs and footpaths. Southeast, Wallberg mountain is topped by the Wallbergkircherl, a tiny church with panoramic views of the valley. The town’s Olaf Gulbransson Museum displays paintings and drawings by the Norwegian satirical artist.

Showering at the airport in Munich, Germany on a layover.
I made this brief video to give the viewer an idea of the showers available at the Munich airport. We were traveling for over 36 hours and still had one leg left in our journey. We were headed to our home in Spain and needed rest. We looked into showers available and found these were fairly priced and within the airport itself. We were incredibly tired and smelly, so a shower was quite refreshing.

South African Airways flight from South Africa to Germany travel vlog (Cape Town - Joburg - Munich) video transcript:
Well today is a travel day. What happened to our time in South Africa? Like it flew by.
Seriously. We've been here for 2 weeks and I still can't believe it. I feel like literally like we just got here.
Anyways, so we have a really long journey ahead of us. We are basically going to be traveling for a day and a half. Or two. Well first we're catching a taxi to the airport in Cape Town and then it it what a two hour flight to Joburg. A flight to Joburg. And then from Joburg we have an eleven hour flight to Munich in Germany and then we're going to arrive there and then we're going to have time to kill because we're going to be arriving early in the morning and we can't even check-in to our AirBNB until like mid-afternoon.
Then we're going to have to take a bus or a train to Nuremberg where we've rented an AirBNB. No, no no and then from the center of town we have to take another train because we're staying in the outskirts. Right so buckle up because we're going to show you the whole thing.
Two cups of Rooibos and a glass of Pinotage for Sam. The pinotage hasn't arrived yet but we are basically we're trying to get some of our favorite local things before we leave because we probably won't be able to have rooibos tea again for a while.
So our 1st of 2 flights with South African Airways. All aboard. All aboard. So Joburg and then we don't have that long of a wait and then yeah. Thankfully this is a short flight. The next one is going to be longer.
Wine o'clock. Even on the plane. Even on a short flight like this. That is so nice of them to give us wine. I know. The flight is less than 2 hours. Only an hour and forty minutes. And we're getting a meal too.
Dinner has been served.
Um, we are having stir-fried beef and it comes with salad. Salad and a piece of chocolate cake..
Alright, bit of a crazy update. We're not sure if we're going to make our flight.
We made it. They are holding the flight. You know what? W wouldn't have made it had it not been for these two really nice girls I think from the States who let us like jump two lines in the queue. Oh my gosh. Yes. Because we still had like 2 long zigzags to get through.
Update. We are greasy, we are sweaty. Feeling dirty and sleep deprived. Now we have to go find the S-Bahn. One step closer to getting to Nuremberg. Let's do it. Yes, get to the train station in Munich and then find the bus to Nuremberg.
So we made it to the bus terminal. We have our tickets for Nuremberg and now it is time for lunch. It is almost noon. So we hit up a German bakery and we got two savory things and a sweet thing.
We made it. I think it has been exactly 24 hours door to door because we left our AirBNB in Cape Town at like 2 in the afternoon and I think it is past 2 in the afternoon at this point.
So long day of travel. We arrived at our AirBNB which is pretty cute. Maybe we'll do a tour another day. But yes, it is time to sign off, get some rest. Say goodbye! Bye!

Munich Part 1 (Neuschwanstein Castle) Vlog #28
So while I was in Europe I didn't get to see a single castle. Therefore I left Amsterdam, took an 8 hour train ride to Munich, and made my way to see the Neuschwanstein Castle aka the Disney castle. This is where Disneyland sorta replicated the castle with their own little taste to it. The inside of the castle isn't actually worth it. It's 14 euros and it's about 40 minutes long and they take you through pointless places. The scenery around the castle is SPECTACULAR!!!!

Germany Train FOOD REVIEW - Traveling from Munich to Zurich, Switzerland!
Traveling on the train from Munich to Zurich!

JULY 2017
I was in Munich, and my wife and her sister all of a sudden decided they wanted to go to Zurich, Switzerland. So the night before we left, I bought tickets on the train, direct from Munich to Zurich on Bahn.com.
We arrived at the Munich Central train station, which is a very nice and spacious station, and our first mission was to buy some train food. I ended up with a wonderful pretzel and a Bavarian sandwich. The sandwiches were pretty amazing.
Sandwiches and coffee - 12.50 EUR
It was a great ride, and as we kept going the views and mountains kept getting more and more beautiful.
For the train we were 3 adults and I paid about 400 EUR for round-trip ticket from Munich to Zurich.
Train is always one of the best ways to travel!

We're talking Flixbus in Europe! Flixbus = cheap bus in Europe. If you're looking to travel within Europe on a budget, we hope you'll watch our Flixbus tips.
This summer, we hopped on FlixBus 8 times during our European trip. Before we left, we had some questions. Could we upload videos on their free WiFi? We wondered about lots of things but we couldn't find much information about the reality...just the official company website stuff.
Today, we cover 16 things we wish we knew about FlixBus in less than 10 minutes.
Have you taken FlixBus or another inexpensive option? We'd love to hear about it in the comments. Do you have questions we can answer? Ask away!
Know anyone who's heading to Europe and isn't a Rockefeller? Please share. Many thanks!

VISITING THE MUNICH ANIMAL SHELTER
In today's video I'm taking you along to the animal shelter in Munich, I'm donating some cat food and taking an ownerless dog on a walk :) DIESES VIDEO GIBT'S AUCH AUF DEUTSCH:
WALKING A DOG FROM THE 'MÜNCHNER TIERHEIM':
Monday though Sunday 9 a.m. to 11:45 a.m.
Monday and Tuesday also 1 p.m. to 3:45 p.m.
also on holidays
GET MORE INFORMATION HERE:
I went to the Tierheim Munich to donate some of Clarence' (my maine coon cat) food which he doesn't like. He is very picky when it comes to what he eats so over the past couple of months the amount of cans he doesn't like has been growing. I also had a small bed and a toy to give away.
Another reason why I went there is because I wanted to take one of their dogs on a walk. I think it is so great that the animal shelter in Munich offers this to the public and the dogs. You can walk one of their dogs in the mornings from Monday through Sunday. Just check the infobox for the exact times.
With public transportation it took me about an hour to get there. They have this little wooden shack outside where people can donate food, toys and beds for the animals.
Because I got there a little later than everyone else, there were only three dogs left to walk. I was asked if I have any experience with dogs, because these three dogs are brothers and they have attacked another dog in the past, but since I grew up with dogs I wasn't too worried.
The dog they gave me to walk was Felix, a nine month old Bulldog. He was such a friendly dog, very calm and clearly happy to be on a walk. I could tell he didn't enjoy the hot weather that much, so we went down to a little creek several times so he could have a drink and sit in the water.
I walked Felix for about an hour. He did bark at other dogs but overall he was a very relaxed. I had so much fun walking him and it felt great to give a little of my time to Felix who doesn't have an owner.
I know this is a pretty short and random video but I just wanted to share this experience with you guys. You don't always have to give money in order to help those in need, giving a little of your time can sometimes be worth just as much. You can even go there to pet and play with the cats.
If you love animals and you aren't sure how to help those in need, this can be an easy and fun way to help. It is not just the Munich animal shelter here in Germany that offers this, but shelters all around the world. I did a Google search and even found a Huffington Post article on an app which is supposed to bring shelter dogs and volunteers together:
I hope this video inspired you to do something good for those in need. I'm excited to read your feedback. Thank you so much for watching!

Munich City 1945 in Colour - Beer Halls
This film shows the remainings of the beer halls where Hitler once held his speeches. In the Bürgerbräukeller an anti-Nazi opponent, Georg Elser, concealed a time bomb in 1939, set to go off during Hitler's speech on 8 November. The bomb exploded, killing seven people and injuring sixty-three, but Hitler escaped unharmed; he had cut his speech short and left about half an hour early.
William Wyler directed the shootings in Germany on colour film for the US Air Force. The film has never been completed and published.

About King Ludwig II:
Ludwig II (Ludwig Otto Friedrich Wilhelm 25 August 1845 – 13 June 1886) was King of Bavaria from 1864 until his death in 1886. He is sometimes called the Swan King or der Märchenkönig (the Fairy Tale King).
He succeeded to the throne aged 18. Two years later Bavaria and Austria fought a war against Prussia, which they lost. However, in the Franco-Prussian War of 1870 Bavaria sided with Prussia against France, and after the Prussian victory it became part of the new German Empire led by Prussia. Though Bavaria retained a degree of autonomy on some matters within the new German Reich, Ludwig increasingly withdrew from day-to-day affairs of state in favor of extravagant artistic and architectural projects. He commissioned the construction of two lavish palaces and Neuschwanstein Castle, and he was a devoted patron of the composer Richard Wagner. Ludwig spent all his royal revenues on these projects, borrowed extensively, and defied all attempts by his ministers to restrain him. This extravagance was used against him to declare him insane, an accusation which has since come under scrutiny. Today, his architectural and artistic legacy includes many of Bavaria's most important tourist attractions
6th February 1958: Munich air disaster kills Manchester Utd players
Of the 44 passengers on board the plane, 23 died as a result of the crash.
The Manchester United team, nicknamed the “Busby Babes”, were flying back to England from Yugoslavia after a 3–3 draw in a quarter-final match of the European Cup against Red Star Belgrade. The team had not been beaten for eleven matches, and were attempting to become the third club to win three successive English league titles.
The aeroplane, an Elizabethan-class Airspeed Ambassador, had landed in Munich to refuel, since it wasn’t capable flying non-stop from Belgrade to Manchester. The flight was already an hour behind schedule due to some confusion with player Johnny Berry’s passport and visa when leaving Belgrade. This was exacerbated by two abandoned take-offs from Munich due to an intermittent fault in the left engine.
Despite the engine problems, captain James Thain opted to attempt a third take-off by which time it had begun to snow. His plan was to accelerate slowly along the long runway to avoid stressing the engine, but as the plane reached the speed required for take-off the wheels hit slush that had built up on the runway. This slowed the plane down, but there was not enough runway left to safely abort the take-off. Consequently it skidded off the end of the runway before crashing through the airport fence, across a road, and losing its port wing after catching on a house. Twenty of the people on board died instantly.

STORYLINE
The first high-speed rail link between Munich, Germany and Paris, France began scheduled services on Sunday, reducing travel time by two hours and marking another step towards a pan-European rapid transit network.
At 06:21 am local time (0521GMT) a French superfast train, called a TGV (Train Grande Vitesse) left Munich train station for the first time.
A daily connection is planned between the two cities.
The journey takes six hours and fifteen minutes.
According to German rail operator Deutsche Bahn, a ticket will cost 129 euros (189 US dollars).
Since June 2007, there has been TGV service between Paris and Stuttgart in Germany, and a German Inter City Express (ICE) service connecting Frankfurt in Germany with Paris.
Passenger services on the track between Paris and the border will run at maximum 320 kilometres per hour on certain tracks in France, compared to 250 kilometres per hour in Germany.
