ONE DIRECTION at their hotel in HAMBURG
I went to their show in Berlin and on my way home I saw their tourbus on the motorway and followed them to the hotel.
I saw Harry walking into their Hamburg hotel at 3am. He looked sooooooo tired, like he just woke up. I said 'hey harry' and he just ran his fingers through his hair and waved:)
Sorry for the bad quality. But it was just soo dark. The video is much clearer on my camera, i dont know why you almost can not see harry on here. :( i tried my best to make it clearer.
Later that day, I saw Liam and Louis entering the hotel. Louis looked soooo awful. I had to stop filming cause I felt too bad seeing him like this. Don't wanted to be too disrespectful. He looked over his shoulder and waved at us though.

The Jungfernstieg is located in the center of Hamburg, including the Gänsemarkt and Piazza del Municipio. The Hanseatic Quarter is a shopping mall in the Hamburg city center between Post Road and Great bleaching. It was opened on 14 November 1980, offers on 9000 m² of space for 60 shops. Owner is the Allianz Life Insurance Company. The building complex yet additionally comprises a hotel, offices, apartments and a parking garage and is a total of 45,000 m² in size.
The Jungfernstieg is a road on the southern shore of the Inner Alster in Hamburg city center. It runs from the Reesendamm bridge to the goose market and is the first street in Germany, the asphalt was (1838). The street name means street of virgins and is derived from custom, or one for which a time, to Sunday, unmarried women of the middle classes were conducted for a walk in the area with their families.
The Reeperbahn is the central street in Hamburg entertainment and red-light district of the district of St. Pauli. It is about 930 meters long and runs from Millerntorplatz to the west up to the Nobistor ( Hamburg-Altona ), where in the King's Road passes. It is considered sinful mile in the world.
The New Wall is a commercial street in Hamburg Neustadt. The road stretches for about 580 meters from the Jungfernstieg with a slight slope in a south-westerly direction to Stadthausbrücke and from Alsterfleet and Bleichenfleet limited. The shopping road is one-way street from Stadthausbrücke. Shops and restaurants are all geared to consumers with high purchasing power. She belongs to a study by Jones Lang LaSalle 's ten leading luxury shopping streets in Europe.
The New Wall is regarded as Hamburg's most expensive shopping street and with its range of shops compete with the Munich Residence Maximilian Street. In the streets are full of designer shops, furniture stores and stores that carry only a luxury segment, level. Nearby Jungfernstieg are a jewelry store, shoe shops and several branches leading international fashion houses. Rents here are higher at the end of the road, close to Stadthausbrücke are due to the slightly lower rents businesses with larger retail space, including a furniture store. In the middle section there are several textile shops, porcelain and a lamp shop.
The legal framework of the architects Patschan, Winking, Trix Haussmann and should halt the decline by the formation of the new town shopping arcades attractiveness Moenckebergstraße stop. The proliferation of neon signs has been contained, the windows again adapted the original facades; the road was concentrated and banished the private traffic from the road.
When shopping arcade of shops are available in a common structural unit. The development and orientation of the expenses is carried toward the parking lot and onto the street. Particularly widespread this form is today in the United States, where rows of shops made of a cast as strip malls are known.
Since the eighties increasingly shopping centers are planned and built in the inner cities. This trend has accelerated since at least the late nineties rapidly. For a number of years can be observed by an ever-increasing density of spatially close to each other located shopping centers with simultaneous loss of purchasing power of consumers crowding-out. The possible consequences for retail are not yet in sight.
There is research showing that most of the customers enter many shopping centers not on the road, but over the garage. The type of the shopping center has been optimized to the extent in recent decades that specialized developers largely define the layout and design of the building, while external architects - if ever - used only for the design of the facades and required by the local urban integration be.
The size of the shopping centers depends on the catchment areas of the purchaser and can range from a few to hundreds of shops. In a larger centers is often entertainment integrated, such as cinemas or catering businesses. As a rule value is the shopping center complex with a leased retail space of 10,000 square meters.
The Europa Passage is a shopping mall in the Hamburg city center between Jungfernstieg and Mönckebergstrasse. It was opened on 5 October 2006. On five floor levels and a length of 160 meters is space for about 120 stores with 30,000 m².

Fade out, baby that's right,

Your perfect smile, betrays your lack of style,
No Class

You face the wrong way anyhow,
I know you ain't got the brain,
To come in out of the rain,
Too bad, no magic, I'm afraid you're really tragic,
No Class

The Port of Hamburg and Journey North on the River Elbe, Germany - 14th September, 2014
The Port of Hamburg is a port in Hamburg, Germany, on the River Elbe. The harbour is located 110 kilometres from the mouth of the Elbe into the North Sea.
It is named Germany's Gateway to the World and is the largest port in Germany. In terms of TEU throughput, the port of Hamburg is the third-busiest port in Europe (after the ports of Rotterdam and Antwerp) and 15th-largest worldwide.
The harbour covers an area of 73.99 km² (64.80 km² usable), of which 43.31 km² (34.12 km²) are land areas. The location is naturally advantaged by a branching Elbe, creating an ideal place for a port complex with warehousing and transshipment facilities.
The River Elbe flows through the centre of Hamburg and is the port's lifeline to the North Sea. It is one of the major rivers of Central Europe. It rises in the Krkonoše Mountains of the northern Czech Republic before traversing much of Bohemia (Czech Republic), then Germany and flowing into the North Sea at Cuxhaven, 110 km (68 mi) northwest of Hamburg. Its total length is 1,094 kilometres (680 mi).
This film begins in central Hamburg on the Eastern bank of the River Elbe, where footage shows both heavy shipping and much smaller personal and passenger craft. It then focuses on the cruise ship MSC Magnifica, which is ported at Hamburg Cruise Terminal (near Altona).
After this the footage is directly taken from the MSC Magnifica, and firstly shows surrounding views of the Port, River Elbe and City of Hamburg. Before the journey North out of Hamburg begins.
From here onwards, footage is of the Port, passing shipping including Hapag Lloyd passenger vessels, a paddle steamer, ferries and container ships.
Hamburg Finkenwerder Airport is featured, with good views of an Airbus A300-600ST (Super Transporter) or Beluga, which is parked by one of the hangars.
After this footage goes to the wider Elbe, where the city disappears and gives way to rural and agricultural land as the sun begins to set in the distance. The film ends at night as the MSC Magnifica approaches the Elbe estuary to enter the North Sea.

Hamburg Christmas Market (Germany) - In Another Minute (347) [4k]
- - There's nothing quite like a German Christmas Market (Weihnachtsmarkt). And the Hamburg Christmas Market is probably my favorite. It's the Weihnachtsmarkt of my childhood and probably the only one that serves Fischbrötchen (fish on a roll). This video of the Hamburg Christmas Market, I filmed last week at two different markets that are near each other: the Weisser Zauber at Jungfernstieg (on the Alster River) and the Hamburger Weihnachtsmarkt at the Rathausmarkt (city hall square). I filmed this video before the attack on the Berlin Christmas Market.
For several days, I contemplated if I should publish this video at all - in the aftermath of such a tragedy. Then it became obvious: of course, I would publish a German Christmas Market video this week! As a matter of fact, by now I feel lucky that I had filmed such a video during my trip back home to Germany so I could take a stand this week. It's very important to me that I, together with people around the world, celebrate the spirit of Christmas and of German Christmas Markets especially this week!
At German Christmas Markets you get to experience the true spirit of Christmas, as I understand it. I flock to these markets in Germany because they remind me of what these holidays are about: community, family, love, peace, giving, fun, bright lights in dark and cold times, and the joys of life. Germans and foreigners get together with friends and family at Christmas Markets to enjoy hot beverages and fresh-made food and take their time to select handmade crafts as gifts to people they love. These markets are not about consumerism or religion.
Christmas Markets are a clear counterpoint to the hate, fear, destruction and the need for violence and intimidation that terrorists embody and want to spread. These people may succeed in killing, spreading terror and breaking hearts. But then we get up the next day and spread love, compassion, joy, peace, giving and creativity again. The terrorists are NOT succeeding in spreading their hate, fear and need for violence and intimidation! With this video, I'm taking a stand against terrorists and I'm celebrating humanity!
In this video about the Hamburg Christmas Market, you will see my best friend Erik Jürgensen smiling and drinking a hot chocolate. I celebrate him and our friendship. I also celebrate all the people who have shown kindness and compassion to me and others. Over the last few days, I was very moved by all the friends who have reached out to me to make sure I, my family and friends were okay. It's been especially heartening how many online friends reached out - from all over the world with all kinds of different backgrounds. While on one hand, there are people who hate so much and refuse to get along, on the other hand there are so many people who connect with strangers online (and in person) to share their creations and learn about each others cultures with open hearts and open minds. I celebrate that!
But people died at the Breitscheidplatz Christmas Market in Charlottenburg, Berlin, this week. For their families and friends, it must be impossible to think of celebrating and joy these days. My heart aches for them. My own sister-in-law and nephew were at that market one day before the attack. I can't imagine how I would feel if they had been there one day later.
I wish I would know what to do specifically to help prevent such tragedies. They shouldn't be happening. No one should lose loved ones this way - or be witness to such attacks. But alas, I don't know what to do besides making and sharing videos, photographs and texts about the joys of life and nature to hopefully inspire others to lead happy lives and be creative instead of being miserable and destructive.
With all of this in mind, I wish you the merriest of holiday seasons you can have and a happy 2017!
The song in this video is an adaptation of the English traditional carol We Wish You A Merry Christmas performed by Kevin MacLeod ( Licensed under Creative Commons: By Attribution 3.0 License Thank you, Kevin, for using your creativity to spread joy.

2019 FIDE Hamburg: Final Game 1: Grischuk vs Duda: One Down & One To Go
With the first final game out of the way in Hamburg Germany, this tournament can be won by anyone who reaches this very last stage. Grischuk is a super fast player but he did come under severe time trouble. The game finished with him having only 2 minutes on his clock but having gone for an opening that led to the Quiet Line of the Queens Indian Defence, is the end result fair given the numerous chances missed by one player in particular?

Hamburg’s Biggest WWII Bunker Now Filled with Music
Although it was almost completely destroyed in a horrific bombing in 1943, today's Hamburg has rebounded as a surprisingly fun and fascinating city. While little remains from WWII, scores of the city’s old Nazi bunkers are simply too stout to be worth destroying. So they survive and are used in various creative ways. This bunker (Flakturm IV, on Feldstrasse in the St. Pauli neighborhood) is the biggest, designed to give 25,000 people shelter. It’s now filled with concert venues, recording studios, and dance clubs — and was fun to include in our TV show on Hamburg.
By the way, we’re just finishing our Germany shoot, and all three of our new Germany shows will air on public television in October of 2016. (These three shows are the first to be produced in our next series. We’ll likely produce 7 more in order to release 10 new episodes next year. Stay tuned!)

Zurich to Hamburg by OBB Nightjet deluxe sleeper car

Thanks for finding my video and pressing play!
Some of you have told me you’d like to see more train trips. So here’s a great train trip!
This OBB Nightjet train runs daily from Zurich to Hamburg-Altona, leaving at 20:00, and arriving shortly after 09:00 the following morning. It’s one of only two OBB trains which use the double decker “schlafwagen” carriages (sleeper cars).
I’ve travelled on a few sleeper trains before and they’re all pretty similar in terms of layout. This is different, with the deluxe sleeper I occupy taking up the roof space on the top deck of this train. It also features a small seating area, and a fully functioning shower, as well as ensuite toilet. Each carriage has a dedicated attendant who will check your ticket, greet you, wake you, and serve you breakfast.
Overall, this is a niche and interesting way to travel. While sleeping-car travel is on the decline in Europe, thanks to shoestring budgets and the arrival of budget airlines and safer/higher quality hostels, this train holds its own.
If you do this trip, here’s some expectation management from me:
- There’s no restaurant on board (there are only a couple of hot microwave meals available) – eat beforehand in Zurich. There are plenty of places to suit all budgets both in the station, and within a couple of minutes walk.
- This is not “luxury first class” – it’s pragmatic and the premium charged is for the space. Remember, it’s run on a tight budget, so you’ll occasionally notice a bit of wear and tear.
- Beds will cause a problem if you’re over six feet tall (I’m 5’9” so no issue for me…)
- The top deck is where the deluxe cabins are, like mine. This is great for viewing but you’ll also feel the swaying of the train more. That might bother you, but it didn’t bother me.
And some big positives to encourage you:
- Sleeper trains remain a very efficient way to travel. And they’re fun, too, I promise.
- Tickets are very easy to buy at (that’s the English language page).
- All staff speak good English; no German or French phrasebook necessary.
- The beds are very comfortable with a decent mattress and duvet included.
- You get to see the countryside.
- Deluxe cabins have fabulous double windows and roof-lights. It feels, and is, spacious – for a train.
- It’s different, isn’t it?
Long live the sleeper train.
