The Academy of Music, also known as American Academy of Music, is a concert hall and opera house located at 240 S. Broad Street in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Its location is between Locust and Manning Streets in the Avenue of the Arts area of Center City.
The hall was built in 1855–57 and is the oldest opera house in the United States that is still used for its original purpose. Philadelphia's Greek Soccer club United FC holds 1st place
Wayne, PA - The World Cup is just around the corner and next month, Philadelphia will host a historic friendly match up between Greece and Nigeria (June 3rd/PPL Park). Soccer, will play center stage for us in the coming months. But believe it or not, yes, I used the old cliche. Our Greek community has another team to be proud of in the world of sports.
Local team United FC, a Greek soccer team that plays at YSC sports facility in Wayne, Pa. is the leading the local league. YSC sports facility is where the Delaware Valley amatuer soccer scene in arguable the best place to watch soccer.
On Thursday evening they continued on their reign and held off the Tilted Kilt by a score of 3-1. The Tilted Kilt is currently in 3rd place, and gave the Greek team a run in a league that hosts some 22 teams.
But the experience, speed and coaching of the team was to much for the Kilt to handle. United controlled the ball throughout the game and constantly brought on offensive pressure. On no less than four occasions, United hit the goal post. Instead of the score ending up 3-1, it could have been 7 to 1.
After taking a 2-1 lead, the team showed why they were in 1st place by controlling the tempo and protecting their lead the rest of the game. They managed to score a late goal and solidified their victory and position in the league.

Abandoned Railroad Tracks in Philadelphia
Climbing location: 912 Buttonwood Street, Philadelphia, PA 19123.
There are some barb wires on the ramp, but still pretty easy to avoid. If you can do a pull up, you should be fine with climbing this. If not, you may need help getting up the ramp.
That actually name of the railroad tracks that I explored is called the Reading Viaduct, located in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Of the whole, the segment that I explored in this video is from Vine Street to 9th and Spring Garden.
On 9th and Spring Garden, there’s an abandoned train station with graffiti all over the walls. There are also stairs that lead into the ground level, but its super spooky and dark, so make sure to either bring a flashlight or a friend.
On Callowhill Street, there’s a sort of an abandoned power house that has graffiti all over, as well. This location is also the fork of the tracks that allow people to walk up from Noble Street, but is fenced off due to the construction of the Reading Viaduct Park, which should be completed by the end of 2018.

7/16/2018 Philadelphia, PA - Reading Terminal Market Walk Through
I walked around Reading Terminal Market
Historic Philadelphia - March 13, 2011
Visit by twin sisters to Independence National Historic Park (with views of Independence Hall, the Liberty Bell, and a few historically important documents -- the Declaration of Independence, the Articles of Confederation, and the original Constitution), as well as to the home of Betsy Ross, and Elfreth's Alley in historic downtown Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. We learned a little about the Revolutionary War and the (long) process of formation of the government of the United States of America. Along the way we encountered a bust of Ben Franklin -- and a really good pizza shop. The skyline now surpasses the statue of William Penn atop city hall.
