Just a 5-minute walk from the iconic Dom Luis Bridge, the Barredo-Ribeira Oporto Apartments is centrally located in Porto. The property is a just a 2-minute walk from the Douro riverside area, the historical Ribeira.
This duplex apartment is set in an 18th century building. The heated unit features 2 bedrooms, a kitchen, free WiFi, private bathroom, small library and a living room area.
Guests can cook their own meals at their leisure in the fully-equipped kitchen of their apartment. There are restaurants available just 33 feet from the unit. More meal options are available in the Ribeira area, where there are restaurants serving traditional Portuguese meals and tapas in a riverside setting.
Babysitting services are available, at a surcharge. Guests receive a welcome basket made up of Port wine and assorted fruits.
Hard Club, which features regular concerts and has an elegant restaurant, is a 4-minute walk from the Barredo-Ribeira. The Bolsa Palace is a 5-minute walk away.

Recently refurbished studios are available at Apartments Oporto Palace, located a 5-minute walk from Clerigos Tower and 3 minutes’ walking from Douro River. Free WiFi access is available.
Each air-conditioned studio is accessible through a card system and includes an equipped kitchenette, a seating/dining area and a separate bedroom area. The bathroom has a shower and a hairdryer. Some offer river views.

It is all possible within minutes of walking. If you want to have a lazy day.... take the electric historic tram nearby the Palacia da Bolsa and make a trip among the Douro to the beaches of Foz do Douro....and so many other interesting places to see. One week wouldn't be enough! You need to come back again!

Side Trip: Portugal - Porto, Oporto
Porto is a large city on the northern coast of Portugal. We recently used it as a base to discover the northern part of the country.
During our stay, we take you on a couple of walking tours. We see some of the major churches of the city, a famous bookstore - Livraria Lello, and several great restaurants. We make a stop in Villa Nova di Gaia for a port tour and explore the tram museum.
Along the way, we catch quiet corners of the city including aquifers, quaint apartment buildings and glimpses of the skyline during the day and sunset.
Some say Porto is the undiscovered city in Portugal. While that may be true relative to Lisbon/Lisboa, it is certainly well discovered, as you will see from the video. Yet, there are quiet places to get lost and get away from the crowds.
