Geopark Oriental Village Langkawi - Восточная деревня в Малайзии находится в 15 мин езды от международного аэропорта Лангкави (LGK), в 5 минутах езды от гавани Teluk Burau на побережье Burau Bay и к северу от порта Телага - Telaga, рядом с пляжем Лангкави Pantai Kok (Kok Beach), в 30 мин езды от города Kuah .
Если вы добираетесь сюда на такси, воспользуйтесь приложением PlayMarket Uber Taxi. Можно хорошо сэкономить - порядка 30%, по сравнению с ценами на улице или отеле. Пользовались такси Uber для передвижения по острову неоднократно - дешево и очень удобно, ничего не переплачивали. Цена поездки = цена в приложении ! В Куала Лумпур тоже работает.
Остров Лангкави является частью штата Кедах, которая находится рядом с тайской границей. Лангкави - остров беспошлинной торговли. Сюда мы прибыли своим ходом морским путем из Тайланда с острова Ко Липе. Это всего час плавания на спидботе !
Oriental Village, Восточная деревня - лучшая туристическая достопримечательность на Лангкави. Здесь можно найти популярную канатную дорогу SkyCab, небесный мост Sky Bridge, 3D Interactive Art Museum, Sky Rex, множество магазинчиков, фудкортов, ресторанчиков, duty free магазинов.
Учтите, что рестораны, фудкорты и street market в Oriental Villadge закрываются рано - около 18-19 час.
Восточная деревня - ворота для посещения Geoforest Park. Это джунгли с красивыми водопадами и скалами. Регион Langkawi Geopark является членом ассоциации UNESCO Global Network of Geoparks. Это зона экотуризма (eco-tourism) - путешествий в природу, причём главное содержание таких путешествий и треккинга — знакомство с живой природой, с местными обычаями и культурой. Рядом с Восточной деревней находятся джунгли и водопады Telaga Tujuh Waterfalls и Семь колодцев. Поход туда и назад займет как минимум пол дня.
В Oriental Village Langkavi мы останавливались на 4 ночи в отеле Geo Park Hotel 3* . Отельчик - так себе, для ночевки сойдет. Бассейна нет. Но он очень удобно расположен ! Отель находится прямо рядом с нижней станцией канатной дороги Sky Cable и прямо в центре Oriental Villagе. В номере было очень мало розеток, а приходилось много фотографировать. Учтите это, когда будете планировать свое путешествие.
Добраться до Небесного моста можно по канатной дороге SkyCab. Она состоит из двух участков общей протяженностью 2,2 километра. Подъем занимает около 20 минут. Небесный мост - SkyBridge находится на верхней станции канатной дороги. Лучше всего посещать канатную дорогу не в пиковое время (утром и вечером в будни). В пиковое время можно простоять в очереди до 2-х часов. Работает ежедневно 09:30-19:00. Не работает в плохую погоду. Кроме того она периодически закрывается на технического обслуживания (проверьте перед посещением).

SkyCab SkyBridge - Oriental Village - Travel to Langkawi Malaysia 2018
The Langkawi Cable Car, also known as Langkawi SkyCab, is one of the major attractions in Langkawi Island, Kedah, Malaysia. It provides an aerial link from the Oriental Village at Teluk Burau to the peak of Gunung Machinchang, which is also the location of the Langkawi Sky Bridge. The total length is 2.2 km (1.4 mi), with a journey time from the base to the top of around 15 minutes. It was officially opened in 2003.
Langkawi Cable Car is located just north of Telaga Harbour, Pantai Kok, with the entrance within 'Oriental Village' at the foot hill of the Mat Chincang mountain range. It is located to the north-west of the Langkawi International Airport, on the west coast of the main island of Langkawi. It is approximate 30 minutes drive from Kuah town and 15 minutes drive from Langkawi International Airport.
Oriental Village is best known as the home of the Langkawi Cable Car and Sky Bridge. It is a themed open-air complex with a huge lake in the centre and an art gallery, animal exhibits, clothes, souvenir and handicraft stores spread out around it plus a few local and international restaurants.
Langkawi Sky Bridge is a 125-metre (410 ft) curved pedestrian cable-stayed bridge in Malaysia, completed in 2005. The bridge deck is located 660 metres (2,170 ft) above sea level at the peak of Gunung Mat Chinchang on Pulau Langkawi, the main island of the Langkawi archipelago in Kedah. The Langkawi Sky Bridge can be reached by first taking the Langkawi Cable Car to the top station, where an inclined lift called SkyGlide takes visitors from the top station to the bridge.
The bridge was closed in July 2012 for maintenance and upgrading. The reopening was put off several times, but it partially reopened in February 2015. The bridge is now fully accessible.
The Seven Wells waterfall is just a short journey away from the Oriental Village!
There are no entrance fee but there will be a RM2 parking fee per CAR.
The water of the waterfall was not cold +25 C. The territory of the waterfall is equipped with a toilet and showers. Along the way, there are stalls that sell products such as sweet corn, water and coconut.There is a cafe.

Oriental village is also the home for Malaysia's one of the top attractions - The Cable Car and the Sky Bridge. So if you are planning a visit to the village to enjoy its offerings, you will need to set aside a full day. It is located at the western side of the island in Burau Bay area and at the foothill of Mount Mat Cincang (near Pantai Kok).

Malaysia's largest 3D musical laser light show
3D Mapping
For the first time ever, experience a gigantic 556-square meter wall mural; the largest of its kind in Malaysia comes to life through state-of-the-art creative technology at 3D Art Langkawi Museum. The projection mapping show will be played every hour at Central Hall daily.
This epic experience brings tourists through a magical journey of a magic carpet to Niagara Falls, Castle Age, Mystical Pyramids and an adrenaline-pumping adventure in Ancient Egypt. It has been awarded and recognized by the Malaysia Book of Records (MBR) with two achievements; The Biggest3D Mural Painting in Malaysia and The Biggest Indoor Projection Mapping in Malaysia.
This is one of the newest additions in Langkawi. An amazing 3-Dimensional art museum known as Art in Paradise located in Oriental Village (location of a cable car ride) was opened to the public on 31st January 2015. It was officially inaugurated on 7th February 2015 by the former Prime Minister of Malaysia Tun Dr. Mahathir Mohamad.
So what can you expect here? Well, an amazing new era of art where part of the artwork is coming out in the space giving it a lifelike real look! There are over 100 such artwork created by 23 Korean artists and several talented local artists. You can see the dragon coming out of the picture frame, or a gentleman's hand projecting out of his portrait to shake hands with you and many more. But one of my favorites here is the girl on a swing with her body in the space... awesome work!
This is the second-largest 3D art museum in the world and certainly the largest in the whole of Malaysia. It spans across 3 floors in a building and covers a total floor area of about 2,000 square meters. So another feather in the cap for Oriental Village and of course Langkawi. So instead of just a cable car ride, shopping in quaint stores, food and elephant rides, you can also see this 3D museum while visiting Oriental Village.
There are several zones or sections in the art museum each having its own theme and type of 3D art. Zones include the Optical Zone tricking your eyes to see image differently, Aquarium zone full with images of marine life, Safari zone depicting artwork with animal life, couple of Interactive zones where you can interact with the art objects, Fantasy zone where you will feel you are in dreams, Classic zone with replicas of artwork from famous artists, the Main Hall zone which is the main attraction in the museum showcasing mind-blowing paintings and artwork on Egyptian theme, waterfalls, castles, etc, and the Malaysia zone depicting life, heritage, and culture in Malaysia.

Entry Fee - Adult: RM38, Child: RM28. Family ticket for 2 adults & 2 children: RM120
Child of age 2 or under is free. Art in Paradise is open daily from 9am to 6pm.

Восточная деревня Лангкави (Oriental Village) - это специально обустроенная для туристов деревня-аттракцион. Но не надо обманываться названием и полагать, что деревня предназначена для тех, кто желает познакомиться с бытом и укладом жизни жителей типичной малайской деревни. На самом деле деревней тут и не пахнет. Главная коммерческая задумка ее создателей - собрать в одном месте большое количество туристов и большое количество дюти-фри и сувенирных магазинов, чтобы торговля шла более бойко. Здесь обосновались более 30 магазинов беспошлинной торговли. А чтобы вокруг были не только магазины и туристы не слишком скучали, сюда добавили развлечения, кафе и рестораны, создали красивую обстановку. Со временем этот аттракцион перерос в целый мини-городок. Здесь прямо на улице художники пишут портреты, слышится традиционная музыка, можно увидеть выступления народных исполнителей и театральные представления. Здесь можно просто купить фастфуд и побродить по улочкам от лавки к лавке, посмотреть рыбок в пруду, покупаться в мини-бассейне, отправиться в тур на лодке-амфибии Duck Tour, посетить 3D-музей, совершить прогулку на сегвее, покататься на слонах и еще много всего.
В общем и целом, даже, несмотря на коммерческую направленность, посетить деревню стоит, тем более что миновать ее вы не сможете, ведь станция канатной дороги Лангкави находится здесь. Канатная дорога Лангкави (Cable Car Panorama Langkawi) - достопримечательность из разряда обязательно к посещению! Побывать на Лангкави и не подняться сюда - то же самое, что побывать в Париже и не подняться на Эйфелеву башню.
Путешествия по миру. В моих видеороликах я не рассказываю и не даю советы. Я только показываю то, что видел сам и хочу поделиться с вами.

В Oriental Village всего несколько отелей. В отеле Geo Park Hotel 3* мы останавливались дважды на 3-4 ночи в разные годы. Отель расположен в центре Oriental Villagе. Отель простенький , но он идеально расположен: рядом с нижней станцией канатной дороги Sky Cable - самой интересной достопримечательностью Лангкави (Малайзия).
