Sanford is a city in the central region of the U.S. state of Florida and is the county seat of Seminole County. As of the 2010 census, the city had a population of 53,570.
Known as the Historic Waterfront Gateway City, Sanford sits on the southern shore of Lake Monroe at the head of navigation on the St. Johns River. Native Americans first settled in the area thousands of years before the city was formed. The Seminoles would arrive in the area in the 18th century. During the Second Seminole War in 1836, the United States Army established Camp Monroe and built a road that is currently known as Mellonville Avenue. The city sits approximately 20 miles (32 km) northeast of Orlando.
Sanford is home to Seminole State College of Florida and the Central Florida Zoo and Botanical Gardens. Its downtown attracts tourists with shops, restaurants, a marina, and a lakefront walking trail. The Orlando Sanford International Airport, which is in the heart of the town, functions as the secondary commercial airport for international and domestic carriers in the Orlando metropolitan area.
The opening of Walt Disney World in October 1971 shifted the economy of Central Florida away from agriculture, military installations, defense/aerospace industries, and the NASA manned and unmanned space programs, and further towards tourism, service industries and residential development, the center of which is Orlando. But because of Sanford's former preeminence as a trade center, the city retains a significant collection of older commercial and residential architecture, on streets shaded by live oaks hung with Spanish moss. Its location on Lake Monroe and access to the navigable waterway of the St. Johns River has made it Central Florida's additional center for numerous marinas, allowing access for pleasure boats and commercial vessels to and from the Atlantic Ocean and the Intracoastal Waterway via Jacksonville and Mayport to the north.

Orlando, Florida - Orlando International Airport People Movers (2019)
The Orlando International Airport People Movers are a set of automated guideway transit (AGT) people mover systems operating within Orlando International Airport. The four original people mover systems connect the airport’s main terminal to four satellite airside concourses. A fifth AGT people mover system was installed in 2017 to connect the main terminal with the airport’s new Intermodal Terminal.
The four currently operating systems connect the main terminal with the airside concourses. The west two lines (Airsides 1 and 3) opened with the airport terminal in 1981. Airside 4 and its line were built later in 1990, and Airside 2 and its line began operation in 2000. The airside systems are similar to the Tampa International Airport People Movers.
Each line consists of two guideways that carry a three-car train each. The trains shuttle back and forth between the terminal and their respective airsides. Passengers board on an island platform between the two guideways and disembark on side platforms.
Since Airside 4 is the primary concourse for international flights, it system is set up so that when international flights arrive, terminal-bound passengers are not “secure”, while airside-bound passengers have gone through security screening. Only one set of doors are open at a time, and trains receive a security inspection before boarding secure departing passengers to the airside. This eliminates the need for international arriving passengers to go through additional security screening before heading to the main terminal.
Currently, only Airside 2 and 4 systems use Bombardier Innovia APM 100 vehicles. Airside 1 and 3 system’s Adtranz, later purchased by Bombardier, vehicles were replaced with Mitshbishi Crystal Mover vehicles in 2017. Airsides 2 and 4’s vehicles are not being replaced since those systems were built much later.

Amtrak's Auto Train assembly & leaving Sanford on 12-26-17
Amtrak's Auto Train runs daily between Sanford, FL & Lorton, VA. The train can carry about 320 vehicles on one trip, and is currently the longest passenger train in the United States.
Will start off at Sanford terminal in Sanford, FL, where we get a quick view of the auto-train being assembled. An amtrak B32-8WH #515 is the switcher that's being used to switch around the cars. Later, I then headed over to Sunrail's Debary Station to see the train in high speed. A Sunrail Commuter train can also be seen as well! I tell ya, 70 degree weather with these trains just doesn't get any better!

New airline coming to Jackson offers direct flights to Orlando || Jackson, MS

The City of Jackson has a new direct line to Orlando, Florida.
This is the first time a new airline has come to Jackson since 1997. Via Air will will be taking passengers between Jackson Medgar Wiley Evers International Airport and Orlando Sanford International Airport.
It's been in the works for three or four months, said James L. Henly, Junior, the Chairman of the Airport Authority Board. We've been engaging them and any other carrier we could to look at expanding service and have more options available for individuals here in town.
Via Air will have flights four days a week: Sunday, Monday, Thursday, and Friday - all morning departure times.

I Should DO WHAT To Pay For CDL School Training?
A 40 year veteran truck driver passes on a little tip for obtaining a CDL.
There are numerous schools to choose from in both the U.S. and Canada. There are private schools and company sponsored CDL truck driving training schools.
The private schools can be very expensive, with no guarantee of a job at the end of the training.
We spotted an ad for a truck driving training school which admitted their training was expensive, but a potential student could easily find a way to finance their training.
The article went on to point out there were multiple ways to finance CDL training, one which really made our blood boil.
They suggested that the potential student could take out a second mortgage on their house!
Borrow money against their house, without hope of a job at the end of the training, FOR A JOB, which most pay less than minimum wage for OTR trucking.
Company sponsored training with a job at the end of the training makes the most sense for most candidates looking to get into a truck driving career.

The Warlocks Biker Gang of Orlando Florida
This show gives the viewers a firsthand look at the Warlocks Gang based in Orlando.
The Warlocks Motorcycle Club was founded in 1967 in Florida, USA by ex-US naval servicemen serving on the USS Shangri-La aircraft carrier. It is a One Percenter motorcycle club with chapters in various parts of the United States, Canada, UK and Germany. Established by Tom Grub Freeland, an ex-US Navy sailor, in Orlando, Florida in 1967, its Mother Chapter is still based there. They have over nine chapters in Florida, two in Georgia, seven in South Carolina, five in Virginia, four in West Virginia, one in New York, two in ohio, one in minnesota, three in England, two in Germany and three in Canada. There are also several Nomads who live and work in states that don't have Warlocks chapters.
The club's insignia is a blazing eagle between a top and bottom rockers, and their patch colors are crimson red, gold and orange. mottos include Our Business is None of Your Fucking Business and Warlocks forever, forever Warlocks (W.F.F.W.).
Criminal activities
The Warlocks were investigated by the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives in 1991, after Steve Martin, an undercover agent, infiltrated the club, and several members were arrested and released. Again, in 2003 the ATF investigated the Warlocks, and convicted several members of drug and weapon charges once more.
Several members and associates were arrested in a small Alberta, Canada town in March 2013 on weapons charges.

US Road Trip.... The worst hotel in Orlando??
We booked a hotel just off international drive for our 4 night stopover in Orlando. The main building of the hotel was amazing but things started to look a bit from grim when we realised we were in the cheap bit at the back. When we got to the room the door was jammed and the frame was loose, we had an infestation of what we think were cockroaches, there were cobwebs everywhere, the TV was unwatchable, the sheets felt strange and were stained, the bathroom wasn’t in great shape and the whole room just smelt. We asked for another room which was to the back and that side was very undesirable, it seemed the place was used by locals as a hangout and the new room was equally as bad so we got a refund and moved somewhere else.
I didn’t make it very clear but the new hotel was great, clean, immaculate rooms, fresh sheets and an all round better atmosphere. I’ve been to Orlando several times but always use a villa so was unsure on what hotel to use, now we know!!
It’s worth pointing out that we stayed in better hotels during the trip, including a casino in Vegas and they were cheaper and far better than the first one.
I have disabled comments for this video because I don’t want to say which hotel it was but just make sure you check reviews before you book anywhere and if in doubt stay in the Rosen Inn Pointe Orlando, it was fantastic for the price
