RED ROCK CANYON, NEVADA - An easy trip from Las Vegas
Something that completely took us by surprise while visiting Las Vegas is the plethora of opportunities to visit scenic areas just outside of the city. Nestled just a short drive away from Las Vegas strip is the imposing Red Rock Canyon. To visit we partnered with Pink Jeep Tours who whisked us to numerous different vantage points where we had the opportunity to hike, walk and climb certain parts of the National Park. It's definitely an experience I'd recommend to others and it left me feeling nostalgic because the scenery and imposing landscapes are similar to what I experienced backpacking in Northern Argentina five years ago.

Visiting Red Rock Canyon - day trip from Las Vegas Travel Video Script:
On our second day in Las Vegas we decided to escape the city and enjoy a bit of the natural scenery. We joined the Pink Jeep Tour for an afternoon exploring Red Rock Canyon National Conservation Area. Located about a half hour drive outside of the city this is an easy day trip filled with rugged desert landscapes. We spent a few hours driving through the park and also doing a bit of hiking along the way. Here are some of the highlights.
Alright, it's time to climb this bad boy. Okay, show us your climbing skills. Scramble up that mountain. Just like an old man.
So this over here is the Calico Ridge and the landscape reminds me a lot of Northern Argentina.
The toilet. Is the toilet occupied? Hmm. Huh?
Hello, there.
So we are coming to the end of this outing. We're just doing our last little hike through the park and soon we'll be back in Las Vegas. But how did you enjoy it? It's been awesome. It is so nice. I didn't realize that there was so many scenic areas just outside of Las Vegas. And the best part is that I am building up an appetite for an enormous steak. Or sushi? No, steak.

Las Vegas - Nevada U.S Travel
Las Vegas - Nevada U.S Travel - Las Vegas is the most populous city in the U.S. state of Nevada, the seat of Clark County, and an internationally renowned major resort city for gambling, shopping, fine dining, and entertainment. Las Vegas, which bills itself as The Entertainment Capital of the World, is famous for the number of casino resorts and associated entertainment. A growing retirement and family city, it is the 28th most populous city in the United States with an estimated population by the U.S. Census Bureau of 558,383 as of 2008.The estimated population of the Las Vegas metropolitan area as of 2008, was 1,865,746.
Established in 1905, Las Vegas officially became a city in 1911. With the growth that followed, at the close of the century Las Vegas was the most populous American city founded in the 20th century (a distinction held by Chicago in the 19th century). The citys tolerance for various forms of adult entertainment earned it the title of Sin City, and this image has made Las Vegas a popular setting for films and television programs. Outdoor lighting displays are everywhere on the Las Vegas Strip and are seen elsewhere in the city as well. As seen from space, the Las Vegas metropolitan area is the brightest city on Earth.
The name Las Vegas is often applied to unincorporated areas that surround the city, especially the resort areas on and near the Las Vegas Strip. This 4 mi (6.4 km) stretch of Las Vegas Boulevard is mainly in the unincorporated communities of Paradise and Winchester, and continues partly into unincorporated Enterprise. ( source Wikipedia )

Golden Gate Hotel (Las Vegas, USA) - Las Vegas Hotel Tour
Golden Gate Hotel Las Vegas details:
The Golden Gate Hotel and Casino is situated at One Fremont Street in Las Vegas, Nevada, in the United States. A piece of the Fremont Street Experience, it is the most seasoned and littlest lodging (106 rooms) on the Fremont Street Experience.
The lodging picked up its present name in 1955 when a gathering of Italian-Americans from San Francisco Bay Area began the Golden Gate Casino. The 106-room, four-story inn was revamped in 2005. In 1965, the lodging's outside was canvassed in aluminum siding, which stayed until its evacuation in 1990.
In March 2008, proprietor Mark Brandenberg sold a half enthusiasm for the property to Desert Rock Enterprises, the venture organization of Derek and Greg Stevens, who additionally possessed the Las Vegas 51s baseball group and a 19% stake in the Riviera gambling club. With new cash injected by the Stevens, the Golden Gate attempted gambling club redesigns and lodging room remodels. The next year, the Stevens raised their stake to 60%, and Derek assumed control as CEO, with Brandenburg as president.
In 2012, the Golden Gate started its first real remodel in over 50 years, gutting the old piano bar region and vintage lodging anteroom region for a more open and current look, including sparsely clad ladies at the wagering tables known as moving merchants. The $12 million remodel incorporates a 35,000-square-foot, five-story inn tower with 14 new suites and two penthouses, another porte cochere, new registration and opening club work areas, extension of the gambling club floor and included a high farthest point gaming zone.
Greg and Derek Stevens turned out to be full proprietors of Golden Gate in 2016.
In February 2017, development started on an extension to the Golden Gate's gambling club. The development will take Golden Gate's impression into the space once in the past possessed by the La Bayou gambling club.
On Feb. 7, 2017, Du-standard's Restaurant and Bakery shut because of money related reasons. Du-standard's was claimed by Biff Naylor, child of one of Golden Gate's unique proprietors, Tiny Naylor.

So, you've never been to Las Vegas. What's kept you? Never mind - let's stop talking, and start doing! The important thing here is that you're ready for the time of your life, and there's no better place to celebrate than Las Vegas.
First up - people watching. It may sound mundane, but with the cross-section of visitors and celebrities who come to Las Vegas, it's usually primetime entertainment. There are several terrific vantage points on the Strip, including Mon Ami Gabi at Paris Las Vegas, a French bistro with the bonus of being directly across the street from the famous Bellagio fountains. Serendipity 3 at Caesars Palace also has a great outdoor view of Las Vegas Boulevard, not to mention some tasty treats. Elevated viewing with outdoor dining is always popular at Planet Hollywood - both at Cabo Wabo Cantina and PBR Rock Bar.
Cruising the Strip is required for any first-timer, by car or by foot, and since we're on the Strip, now's a good time to start. As you cruise, check out the enormous digital marquees for amazing shows you'll only find in Las Vegas. There's LOVE by Cirque du Soleil at The Mirage, Rock of Ages at The Venetian, Tournament of Kings at Excalibur and Le Rêve - The Dream at Wynn Las Vegas. The people back home will expect you to see at least one of them. Check out legendary magic duo Penn & Teller at the Rio Hotel for a one-of-a-kind Las Vegas experience.
Be sure to get out and have a little fun exploring, too. Stroll through the open-air street party that is Carnaval Court at Harrah's, or let out a few screams riding the roller coaster at New York-New York. The new LINQ entertainment and shopping street meanders between the LINQ Hotel and Casino and Flamingo Hotel. With new restaurants, shops and performance venues, this family-friendly destination will soon be home to the High-Roller Observation Wheel.
There's so much to do in Las Vegas besides gaming, but if this is your first time in town, you almost have to play a little. Many hotels offer free lessons for novices - the Golden Nugget among them. While you're downtown, check out the assortment of restaurants and bars that make up the Fremont East District and the new Container Park, made entirely of shipping containers; and be sure to drop by the historic El Cortez and the all-new elegant Downtown Grand hotel.
Hungry yet? Las Vegas used to only be famous for buffets. Nowadays, you can also enjoy the culinary creations of any number of celebrity chefs; but as a first-timer, a buffet is in order. The Bistro Buffet at the Palms will satisfy your palate with international selections, while the Bayside Buffet at Mandalay Bay features a diverse selection of tastes, with sweeping views of a tropical water garden. Celebrated for its expansive selection of gourmet offerings, the Bacchanal Buffet at Caesars Palace will leave everyone at the table wanting more.
Looking for adventure? We've got you covered; whether you like thrills by air, land or sea. Start with the SkyJump at the Stratosphere. At 108 stories, it's the longest controlled free fall of its kind. Soon, you'll be able to experience Slotzilla - a spectacular high-flyin' attraction where you get hooked to a harness and zip line right over the crowds on Fremont Street and under the giant video canopy. Not daring enough? How about swimming with the sharks at the Shark Reef Aquarium at Mandalay Bay?
Las Vegas is the birthplace of many legendary excursions - from Swingers to The Hangover. Who knows? You could be the next to leave your mark on Las Vegas.
