Ozora is a village in Tolna County, Hungary. It has been notable since the Middle Ages, when Pipo of Ozora built a castle at this site by permission of Sigismund of Hungary in 1416. Arthur Görgei won an important victory at the Battle of Ozora during the 1848 Revolution in this area.
In recent times it has become famous for the O.Z.O.R.A Festival.
The Ozora festival (with Solar United Natives festival) is one of the two sizeable psytrance festivals in Hungary, and is one of the fastest growing psychedelic trance festivals in the world, achieving, in 2015, an attendance of 60,000 visitors.

As 2016 O.Z.O.R.A. was in many ways about reaching back to the ancient, our roots and transcending those in reimagined ways, the 2016 Official Movie also reflects this inspiration. Much of the raw footage was recorded on original Super8 film, so the highlights of our latest adventure come to life in a 'back to the future' psychedelic reality, our alternate version, thanks to our amazing camera crew who caught some of the highlights, the magic we all make happen.

A várkastélya igazi kuriózum a hazai műemlékek között, hiszen a reneszánsz világ hangulatát tükröző épületek csak jelentős átépítésekkel, vagy romosan maradtak fenn az országban. Ám Ozorán a barokk korban magtárrá alakított épületből helyreállítható volt a 16. századi reneszánsz palotaépület, ahol igazi középkori hangulat fogadja a látogatókat.

Ismét jelentkezem egy csodálatos öt-helyszínes zenei várcsokorral, ami az elmúlt hónapok termése volt. Nincs ugyan itt minden, mert folyamatban vannak a belföldi várhelyszínek további bejárásai, de az újabbaknak még sem megfelelő zenéje nincsen, továbbá még gyűjteni illő hozzájuk..
Szászvár még idén márciusában került be a váras gyűjteményembe, a pécsi bringás-vártúrám alkalmával, ehhez jött még hozzá júniusban
Dombóvár Gólyavár-ja, valamint Döbrököz -Werbőczy várának romjai, Ozorán is ekkor jártam a szállásom ezen a kiránduláson Simontornyán volt.
Dégen a felújítás előtt, még sikerült bejutnom a Festetics-kastélyba, illetve Mátraderecskén a Kanázsvár romjainál túráztam legutóbb, itt Sirok várát újra érintettem, a szállásom ekkor már ismét Egerben volt.
Ezzel az öt várral kívánok mindenkinek további szép nyarat és rengeteg kiránduló-helyszínt, vele még több hazai illetve külhoni magyar várat! Ősszel: Trencsén-Beckó-Nyitra-Tapolcsány-Nagyszombat-Bajmóc és Pozsony következnek, e két utóbbi várost 2. illetve harmadik alkalommal láthatom majd újra..

The Past in the Present
This tiny southern Transdanubian settlement of Hungary's Tolna County, Ozora has an unbelievably old history dating back to the Stone Age.
Ancient people had chosen to gather and settle here, protected by the surrounding hills, Mother Nature gifting them with abundant fishing and hunting grounds.
Ozora has been remarkably spared from the unkind influences of materialistic exaggerations, leaving it green-breathing and human-scale. However it also takes an glorified place in Hungarian history.
The site of the victorious battle of 1848 - its heroes inscribed in gold in all Hungarian historical chronicles, is also home to Pipo de Ozora's Castle, a symbolic landmark, standing proudly to this very day outstanding in its individuality and homeyness among all other castles of its age.
In a more recent past, in 1999, a year similarly unfathomable as the one lying ahead of us thirteen years later, Ozora was reborn as the site of a monumental solipse festival. Thousands of people gathered from all around the world to be a part of that uplifting and apocalyptic feeling of the total eclipse of the sun, celebrating it with goa music energies.
Since then nine festivals had taken place, each one strengthening that one-of-a-kind togetherness and spiritual reformation that keeps it throbbing with life.
The Future in the Present
In light of the 10th festival held in Ozora, in light of the mysticism of the year 2012, in light of all that has enriched us with an Ozora experience we have only one thing in mind. Respecting and nurturing the valued traditions, treasures, for free spirits paradise on earth, our fairy tale.
