Kannur Palakkayam Thattu is a hill area with good climate and breezy winds. Around 50 km from Kannur. We can park our vehicle in the down area and will get jeep service from there to the entrance. It costs around ₹350 per trip. The road is narrow but the offroad travel to the destination will give us another experience. Only an experienced person can drive. There is an entrance fee of ₹30.

Palakkayam Thattu is a hill station near Naduvil Village in the Western Ghats in India. It is in Kannur district of Kerala State. 28 Km distant from Taliparamba Municipality. Located 3500 ft. above sea level, it is undoubtedly one of the picturesque places in Kerala. A distance of 53 km from Kannur city, the journey through the hill and scenic valleys will be a trilling and exciting one. 'Palakkayam Thattu' also welcomes its visitors with its beauty and pleasant climate along with the exquisite range of flora and fauna. The DTPC also set up solar lights, sitting arrangement and walkway and a tourism circuit connecting the place with Paithalmala and Kanjirakolly to enhance the beauty of the place.

Palakkayam Thattu offers an amazing view, It's a great place to visit if you are looking for an offroading experience, This is basically a hill station under DTPC,and it is Located 3500 ft above sea level. The early morning view will be amazing. A 4 wheel drive is needed to reach the place ,There are few adventure sports, restaurants after reaching the top of Palakkayam Thattu.
Entry fee is Rs. 20/head.
Camera charges : 100- 300 rs
For offloading experience jeep will cost you Rs. 200-300 for one side.

Palakkayam Thattu off road with Jeep, Wonderful hill station in Kannur
Wonderful hill station in Kannur district, around 30 km away from Taliparamba. Cars will only 4 km down the hilltop, but you can rent Jeeps for Rs. 200.
There is an adventure park on the hilltop. You can enjoy 10+ rides including Balloon Rolling, Zipline, Archery and Shooting for Rs. 500. There is another package of Rs. 250 too.
View from the top is attractive and the evening fog makes this place more beautiful

This place is a hill which can be reached by Jeep and walk. Once we reach there, there are many adventure activities and beautiful view points. If sky is clear, we can see Kannur airport and trains passing through valapattanam. personally felt that this place need more attention.Activities here are good and reasonable. It needs more attention. Family, friends and couples all are welcome. This place is good for Business outings and family get together. Kannur was in desperate need of such a nice place .Good place for adventure and theme sports,has many new sports like zorbing, zipline, rope course etc are available at reasonable price.first of its kind in kerala, must visit when you are in kannur which is a unique experience in itself.Hilly area with good climate and breezy winds. Great place to visit
A great place to visit in Kannur. This is basically a hill station under DTPC. The early morning view will be amazing. A 4 wheel drive is needed to reach the place. Very dangerous if you are not an expert driver because the uphill way is very narrow and fully damaged. A small mistake can be fatal. Good for trekking. Once you reach here you will have an amazing view of the other hills. There is a small shop for refreshments. Keep plastics away.This video palakkayam thattu gives you a real look of the site that u can feel it.
Tips:
Take enough water. Get a good driver if you are planning by a vehicle. Old people or people with health issues can be excluded.
