Amazing road trip from East Rutherford, NJ to West Nyack, NY
Starting from the Homewood Suites by Hilton East Rutherford, Meadowlands, NJ, we headed North-East towards Hackensack. Then, turn left on Route 17 North toward Rochelle Park.
We exited Route 17 North on Essex Street toward Maywood (Avenue), Forrest Avenue until reaching the Township of Washington, turning on Washington Avenue by the Westwood Station.
Turn left on Broadway towards Hillsdale, then right on Irvington Street and left into Kinderkamac Road until the beautiful city of Pearl River. This is were we crossed the state line between the Garden State of New Jersey into New York.
From this road, we took the Route 304 North until the turn off to Route 59 West towards East Nyack. Turned off at Exit 9E to take Route 87 South until the Exit 12 to Route 303 and Palisades Center Drive on the right.

Upper Nyack is a village incorporated in 1872 in the town of Clarkstown, Rockland County, New York, United States. It is located north of the village of Nyack, east of Valley Cottage, south of Rockland Lake State Park, and west of the Hudson River. The population was 2,063 at the 2010 census.
Upper Nyack has a Village Hall and a village law court, located in the same building on North Broadway. Upper Nyack is also home to the Empire Hook and Ladder Company No. 1, established in 1863, one of eight fire companies in the Nyack Joint Fire District.

Elevator at 42 West 18th Street, New York, NY, Lobby to 6th Floor
From the cutting room floor, an incomplete elevator ride on the elevator at the headquarters of Adorama Rentals. First, I love the aperture painting on the hoistway doors - it immediately made me think of Portal. I was there returning a rental camera for another project hence the camera shake as I grab the stuff to board the elevator. I love the non-stop button for attendant mode! The relays clicked loudly in the position indicator. There was a ridiculously looking 1990s style home telephone slapped on the wall which I guess was the emergency phone. The fire service may have actually been a primitive form of Phase II, it only had on, not hold. Besides the fire service switch, it looked like all the floors and functions on the COP were controlled by GAL/Medeco R63C key switches - fancy!

UPDATE: On 4/4/09, I revisited this elevator. I got on at 2, and went down to P, and when I got there, I stayed in the elevator, and hit 3, and the doors closed and the hall chime rang. The outer door closed, but the inner door jammed and didn't close all the way. The elevator started moving as usual, and the inner door then slowly closed the gap. It was very scary, and unfortunately, I did NOT get it on tape :(
