Places to see in ( Park City - USA )
Park City lies east of Salt Lake City in the western state of Utah. Framed by the craggy Wasatch Range, it’s bordered by the Deer Valley Resort and the huge Park City Mountain Resort, both known for their ski slopes. Utah Olympic Park, to the north, hosted the 2002 Winter Olympics and is now predominantly a training facility. In town, Main Street is lined with buildings built during a 19th-century silver mining boom.
Park City is a wonderful place to visit throughout the year with fabulous dining and recreation options. Long before Park City became a world class mountain resort and venue for the 2002 Olympic Winter Games, it was famous as a silver mining town, and boasts a lively and colorful past. Founded by prospectors in the late 1860's, Park City continued to mine silver until the early 1970's.
From approximately 1850, when small settlements were forming, until the railroad lines were laid throughout the West in the 1890s, stagecoach travel was the main form of transportation. There was even a stagecoach business in Park City! William Kimball, a Park City resident, started his stagecoach business in 1858 competing with Brigham Young for United States mail contracts. He was sent to England on a Mormon Church mission and when he returned, he started the Park City-Salt Lake City Route. The Kimball Brothers Stage Line operated from 1872 until 1890, when the railroad made its way into the West. Moving quicker as well as transporting more people and mail, the railroad easily put the stagecoach out of business.
Between 1880 and 1920 when Park City mines were the most organized, productive and active, they produced more than 20 million tons of ore including lead, zinc, copper, silver, and a small amount of gold. These were the years of Park City's mining renaissance. The mining company, Park City Consolidated Mines, started the ski business in 1963, when they built the first lifts on what was then called Treasure Mountain. The Park City area now has three world class resorts: Park City Mountain Resort, Deer Valley Resort, and the Canyons Resort.
Park City has a year-round free city-wide transit system. The bus routes connects Historic Main Street, Kimball Junction, Prospector, Deer Valley, Park City Mountain Resort and Canyons Village. Traveling with skis or snowboards on public transit is not a problem. Parking at the resorts is free; however, the lots fill up early in the morning. On the weekends, patrons of Park City Mountain can park at the Park City High School on Kearns Blvd and take the complimentary resort shuttle to the Park City Base Area. The majority of parking in the Historic Main Street area is paid.

Grand Summit Hotel in Park City Utah Room Tour
Thanks to a hosted partnership with GMC in celebration of the new GMC Sierra AT4, I had the chance to spend a few days at the Grand Summit Hotel - a #RockResorts property - in Park City, Utah.
This hotel is amazing, and nestled right at in the ski hills of Park City. An elegant lodge feel, it is wonderful for families and those looking for great mountain ski vacations. My room was on the 4th floor, # 409.
I also had the pleasure of experiencing the RockResorts spa facilities, and highly recommend those if you get a chance to check them out! We also dinned at The Farm Restaurant and it was amazing!
While you are in Park City, make sure to check out Olympic Park. It's just a quick drive away and a must see. Here's a peek at my walking tour of the 2002 Salt Lake Olympic Museum which is upstairs in the Alf Engen Ski Museum:
Also make sure to check out my quick video of the 2002 Olympic Pin Collection here:

#ParkCity50 - Grooming
In a time where Perfect Corduroy only referred to a pair of pants, there were pioneers experimenting with new grooming techniques for the mountain. It has progressed from using shovels and boots to pack down the terrain every night into state-of-the-art grooming machines that have practically no limitations when it comes to grooming the most treacherous terrain. We take for granted the conditions we enjoy everyday and we salute those who helped bring it to the amazing state that it is now.

PARK CITY - USA Travel Guide | Around The World
Park City is a year-round resort town located on the Eastern side of the Wasatch Mountains, part of the Rocky Mountain Range in Utah. Altitude in town ranges from 6,720 to 9,990 ft. above sea level. The surrounding Wasatch Mountain rise over 10,000 ft. Probably best known for its skiing and winter season with two world-class ski resorts- Park City Mountain and Deer Valley Resort - as well as hosting the annual Sundance Film Festival.
In 2002 Park City was a major host site for the Salt Lake City Winter Olympics. 175 city volunteers contributed more than 6000 hours to the Games, or the equivalent of 750 workdays (and this doesn't even count the public safety volunteers).
Travel Planning, the visitor bureau's website is an excellent resource for researching the destination. From checking lodging availability, to events, activities, and current deals.
Visitor Centers: There are two visitor information centers in town. The main visitor center is located just off I-80, 1794 Olympic Parkway, Park City, UT 84098. In addition to getting staff recommendations, exclusive offers, and free wi-fi you can grab a cup of coffee and light meal. A visitor information desk is located at 528 Main Street in the Park City Museum.
The Salt Lake City International Airport is just 36 miles from Park City via interstate I-80. There are numerous transportation companies that pick-up in the baggage claim area and drop you at your desired destination or hotel. If you choose to rent a car, Park City is a short 30-45 minute drive East on Interstate 80 runs through Parley's Canyon. Take the Kimball Junction Exit 145 onto SR-224.
The Park City area has three world class resorts: Park City Mountain Resort, Deer Valley Resort, and the Canyons Resort. The winter offers great opportunities for skiing, snowboarding, cross-country skiing, snowshoeing, ice skating, snowmobiling, sleigh rides, tubing, shopping and dining. Summer activities include hiking, mountain biking, road biking, horseback riding, golfing, shopping and dining.
There is a lot of fun activities to do out in Park City. There is the Park City Resort, which has really fun slides. Almost like a roller coaster, but better! Also, over at Olympic Park, they have slides, zip lining, and rock climbing.
The best place to get good food, and great views is Deer Valley. As far as food goes, Main Street is the place to be. Good restaurants include, River Horse, Prime Steakhouse, and Grappa. All are fairly expensive, but if you want five star food, and five star service, you must pick one of the three.
Expect hotel prices to be 2-3 times higher during ski season; shop around for bargains from June through September. During Sundance expect every hotel within thirty miles of town to be booked, so make plan far in advance. If visiting in the summer be aware that ski lodges and condo units will be operating with significantly less staff, meaning that you may be picking up your key from a lockbox rather than the front desk and may not be able to quickly resolve any problems with your room; hotels will not have this problem.

My trip to Park City, Utah.
Park City is a town in Summit and Wasatch counties in the U.S. state of Utah. It is one of two major resort towns in Utah, the other being Moab. It is considered to be part of the Wasatch Back and a part of the Salt Lake City metropolitan area. The city is 32 miles (48 km) east of downtown Salt Lake City and 15 miles (24km) from Salt Lake City's east edge of Sugar House along Interstate 80. The population was 7,371 at the 2000 census. On average, the tourist population greatly exceeds the number of permanent residents.
After a population decline following the shutdown of the area's mining industry, the city rebounded during the 1980s and 1990s through an expansion of its tourism business. The city has three major ski resorts: Park City Mountain Resort, Deer Valley Resort, and The Canyons Resort. The Park City and Deer Valley ski resorts were the major locations for ski and snowboarding events at the 2002 Winter Olympics. Although they receive less snow and have a shorter ski season than do their counterparts in Salt Lake County, such as Snowbird resort, they are much easier to access.
Additionally the city is the main location of the United States' largest independent film festival, the Sundance Film Festival, home of the United States Ski Team, training center for members of the Australian Freestyle Ski Team, the largest collection of factory outlet stores in northern Utah, the 2002 Olympic bobsled/skeleton/luge track at the Utah Olympic Park, and golf courses. Some scenes from 1994's Dumb and Dumber were shot in the city. Outdoor-oriented businesses such as backcountry.com and Rossignol have their headquarters based in Park City. The city has many upscale luxury national retailers, clubs, bars, and restaurants, and has nearby reservoirs, hot springs, forests, and hiking and biking trails. Park City is also the original home of the Mrs. Fields Cookies chain.
The annual Sundance Film Festival, held each January in Park City, Utah, is widely recognized as the premier showcase for American and international independent film. Inclusive and eclectic in its programming approach, the festival has grown to include film culture events, panel discussions, youth programs, online exhibition, and live music. Attended by more than 45,000 people from around the world each year and with an online audience exceeding 1,000,000 users, the Sundance Film Festival creates a vibrant, unique community of artists and audiences that extends well beyond the mountains of Park City, Utah.
Built in 1926 shortly after the discovery of King Tutankhamen's tomb, the Egyptian Theater is a replica of Wamer's Egyptian Theater in Pasadena, California and is one of only two Egyptian-revival buildings in Utah. The theater was originally designed to accommodate talkies and traveling vaudeville shows.
Each season, Egyptian Theater Company's four show Main stage Season and two show Family Season are enjoyed by 30,000 patrons. Additionally, ETC's Youth theater program offers theatrical training for preschool through high school age students. In June of 2000, ETC signed an agreement with Actor's Equity Association, becoming one of only four fully professional theater companies in Utah.
In the summertime many valley residents of the Wasatch Front visit the town to escape high temperatures. Park City is usually 11°F (6°C) cooler than Salt Lake City[citation needed], as it lies mostly above 7,000 feet above sea level, while Salt Lake City is situated at an altitude of about 4,000 feet. It is one of the wealthiest cities in the United States and is notable for having a large number of Northern and Central European immigrants. It is also generally thought to be the most liberal city in Utah, with supermajorities usually supporting Democratic Party candidates and issues.

Chicago 4K - Chicago's Main Street - Driving Downtown - The Magnificent Mile
Wednesday afternoon drive along Chicago's version of 5th Avenue (New York City) and Rodeo Drive (Los Angeles/Beverly Hills).
Michigan Avenue is a street well known to Chicago natives as well as tourists to the city. The Magnificent Mile is an upscale section of Michigan Avenue. As the home of the Chicago Water Tower, the Art Institute of Chicago, Millennium Park, and the shopping on the Magnificent Mile, Michigan Avenue also is the main commercial street of Streeterville. It includes all of the Historic Michigan Boulevard District and most of the Michigan–Wacker Historic District, including the scenic urban space anchored by the Michigan Avenue Bridge.
The Magnificent Mile, sometimes referred to as The Mag Mile, is an upscale section of Chicago's Michigan Avenue, running from the Chicago River to Oak Street in the Near North Side. The district is located adjacent to downtown, and one block east of Rush Street. The Magnificent Mile serves as the main thoroughfare between Chicago's Loop business district and its Gold Coast. It is generally the western boundary of the Streeterville neighborhood, to its east and River North to the west.
Real estate developer Arthur Rubloff of Rubloff Company gave the district its nickname in the 1940s. Currently Chicago's largest shopping district, various mid-range and high-end shops line this section of the street; approximately 3,100,000 square feet (290,000 m2) are occupied by retail, restaurants, museums and hotels. To date, rent on The Magnificent Mile is the eighth most expensive in the United States, behind Fifth Avenue in New York and Rodeo Drive in Beverly Hills.
Tall buildings, such as the 875 North Michigan Avenue are in the district. Landmarks along the Magnificent Mile include Wrigley Building, Tribune Tower, the Chicago Water Tower, and the Allerton, Drake and Intercontinental Hotels.
Chicago is the third most populous city in the United States. At nearly 10 million people, the metropolitan area is the third-largest in the United States.
Chicago's 58 million domestic and international visitors in 2018 made it the second most visited city in the nation, behind New York City's approximate 65 million visitors. The city ranked first place in the 2018 Time Out City Life Index, a global quality of life survey of 15,000 people in 32 cities. The city is also home to several fortune 500 companies, the most notable being, Allstate, Boeing, Exelon, McDonald's, Quaker Oats, and United Airlines Holdings. Landmarks in the city include Millennium Park, Navy Pier, the Magnificent Mile, the Art Institute of Chicago, Museum Campus, the Willis (Sears) Tower, Grant Park (Chicago), the Museum of Science and Industry, and Lincoln Park Zoo. Chicago's culture includes the visual arts, literature, film, theater, comedy (especially improvisational comedy), food, and music, particularly jazz, blues, soul, hip-hop, gospel, and electronic dance music including house music. Of the area's many colleges and universities, the University of Chicago, Northwestern University, and the University of Illinois at Chicago are classified as highest research doctoral universities. Chicago has professional sports teams in each of the major professional leagues, including two Major League Baseball teams.
