Child's Play! Exploring the Park West Snorkeling Reef at Pensacola Beach!!
The Grandchildren visited for the Summer and my wife and I took them to the Park West Snorkel Reef in Pensacola Beach Florida. This is the perfect location for children to discover and explore the underwater world here on the Gulf Coast. The water is shallow and there are plenty of structures and reef material for marine habitats. We saw sea robins, crabs, fish, shrimp and even a few puffer fish!

See this wonderful military campground in Pensacola, FL: Blue Angel Naval Recreation Area, also known as Blue Angel Park. It is operated by Pensacola Naval Air Station, but is actually 9 miles outside of the NAS back gate off Highway 98. It has full and partial hook-up RV sites, raised tent sites, primitive cabins, and mobile homes for vacation rentals. There are numerous activities to participate in while you enjoy this camping destination on Perdido Bay!

Snorkeling at Pensacola Beach FL Park East - Sea Turtle!
Becky and I made our first trip to Pensacola Beach Park East FL (10/18/2014) to kayak and snorkel the artificial reefs. The air temperature was 80 degrees and the water temperature was 77 degrees. Not very many fish around the artificial reefs, but I was able to capture some footage of a sea turtle (1:47) and schools of fish in the surf (2:20).
