Patagonia Lake State Park
Residents who want a dependable source of water for fishing or boating in southern Arizona don’t have to travel to Mexico or another state: Patagonia Lake State Park in Santa Cruz County offers various options for visitors at the property’s more than 2,000 of acres, of which the lake encompasses about 260 acres. The park offers boating, fishing, trails, camping and other activities and is considered “an oasis in the desert” by many of its supporters.
Prior to the park opening and being dedicated on April 1, 1975, after the state purchased the land, it was private property as part of the Patagonia Recreation Association, Inc. (LPRA) which had finished acquiring the land on October 3, 1967.

Arizona Trail II
Arizona is one of the few states in the country that has a “border to border” trail that provides users with opportunities to see diverse habitats such as deserts, grasslands, pine forests and the Grand Canyon. The Arizona National Scenic Trail runs more than 800 miles from the border with Mexico to Utah state line, and it’s open to pedestrians, mountain bikers and equestrians. It was the dream of Dale Shewalter, a Flagstaff teacher who worked on the concept and project for years.

The Paton Center
What used to be a private home in Patagonia is now a popular destination to people from all over the United States and other countries. Wally and Marion Paton were the owners of a house along Sonoita Creek where they began to feed hummingbirds and other wildlife. Soon it became well-known in the community and the word was spread around the world. After the Patons passed away, Tucson Audubon Society (TAS) was able to buy the property and it is now restoring the place for the enjoyment of additional visitors.

We are Anja and Bob and we have been together for 28 years, we both have been born with the Wanderlust Gene and can't get enough of wandering and exploring this beautiful world. We have lived in California, New Mexico, Colorado and Hawaii, but have wandered many states and countries. We are Full-Time RV-ers and travel and work camp in a 2010, Winnebago View 24A Diesel Sprinter. We like to bring our 2012 Jeep Wrangler unlimited with us to explore where the RV can't go. We are not retired yet so we have to work on the road, we work camp at National parks, Forest Service and State parks and design some t-shirts and stickers and make some jewelry that are inspired by our travels. We will be selling those on our new website soon. We enjoy boon docking in nature or dry camping off grid along the ocean, in deserts and in the mountains. Our other passion is searching for treasures, one of those is a real Treasure Chest hidden by a fascinating gentleman named Forrest Fenn. We have been searching since 2013 and have filmed a few of our searches for you, so you can come along for the Thrill Of The Chase. Dan Cessna185 Alamo Lake AZ
Departing Prescott Love Field in a Cessna 185 for a flight to the Wayside Inn Near Alamo Lake in the Arizona desert. Enjoy the power and performance of the versatile workhorse. A smooth flight over but kind of bumpy on the return. Wayside Inn is a fun place to drop in and the Hash & eggs was very good and reasonable. Runway surface was sand with a few bumps and a few soft spots. Watch out for ATV's. No data available, estimate 2,000'+ feet by 40', north-south, no major obstructions. Elevation estimate 1,700' msl.
My Experience at the Arizona/Mexican Border
Published on March 25, 2019.
The Mexican border is a controversial subject these days. Although I slept multiple nights near the border, they weren't pleasant, as parking alone near a sign that says, Travel Caution Smuggling and illegal immigration in this area, makes for a scary night. It took a long time to fall asleep.
One night, I stayed just south of a town called Ajo, Arizona. I actually went to church there the next morning. There are some real nice people in Ajo.
This video is my experience spending the night, just south of Ajo, all by myself with nobody else around. It was one scary night.
SAN CARLOS, ARIZONA - This is Lending a Helping Hand to Native Americans
An Aid to Humanity event by the Iglesia Ni Cristo (Church of Christ) in cooperation with the Felix Y. Manalo Foundation was held in the Ecclesiastical District of Mountain States on the San Carlos Apache Reservation.
Brethren from all over the district united in donating clothes and food items to give away to the people of this Native American community.
Goodwill bags were distributed to all the guests and free health check-ups were also provided. Guests were also given an introduction to the Church and were invited to learn more about the biblical teachings that the Church observes and upholds.
