Paton Bridge - World's first all-welded bridge
Paton Bridge is one of the bridges across the Dnieper in Kiev, named after its constructor. Built between 1941 and 1953, is the world's first all-welded bridge and is also the longest bridge in Kiev having a length of 1543 metres. Traffic across the bridge was opened on 5 November 1953.

Taras Shevchenko Park (Kiev) is located in 500 meters distance from EuroMaidan (or Square of Independence) where near 15 people were killed on 18.02.2014 and more than100 people were killed on 19.02.2013 at bloody clashes between military authorities with manifestators.

we watched these people walk across a 200m tall bridge
long story short, boys and I were hanging out around the ladner creek trestle. eventually, somebody emerged from the other side of the bridge and walked the entire bridge by himself to tell us that he's stuck on the other side with a group of people. going back from how they got there was not safe for them as it was an extremely steep climb and that people in the group were also afraid of heights, hence afraid to cross the bridge. he eventually goes back to cross the bridge and inform the group that there is a safer way down from the other side. right before we were about to leave, we saw that they decided to cross the bridge...
