Wellstone Memorial
Paul Wellstone's funeral in October 29, 2002. I got SO sick of people lying about what actually happened at the funeral I decided to show it in its entirety here so there can't possibly be any debate. Here is the Wellstone funeral. And SHAME on the Republicans who politicized it.
DEAR PAUL WELLSTONE
This is one scene from a documentary portrait of Paul Wellstone called THE MAGIC GREEN SCHOOL BUS. It was created by a class of fourth, fifth and sixth grade students at Lake Country School with their teachers Malinda Holte and Media Mike Hazard.

Mark Novitsky - Wellstone Memorial Lecture
Mark Novitsky, national security whistleblower, offers one of the most compelling reasons Senator Paul Wellstone was publicly assassinated on October 25, 2002. Just eight days earlier, on October 17, the maverick senator introduced the Consumer Shareholder Protection Act, SB 3143. A couple of days before that, Dick Cheney, the president of vice, summoned Paul Wellstone to his office, threatening him to back off. As whistleblower Colleen Rowley said at the Oct. 23, 2012 Honoring Wellstone event in Minneapolis, this was 'mafia style' politics. Murder most foul. The evidence mounts. Wellstone was looking into 9/11, something that Cheney couldn't allow. And Mark Novitsky was in the position to know that Wellstone's proposed legislation would have been a major obstacle to the financial crimes and bailouts on the agenda for the very near future. Wellstone, too, as Novitsky and Minnesota Gov. Mark Dayton note, would have been a major Presidential challenger to the treacherous John Kerry in 2004. As Mark Novitsky observes, 'means, motive and opportunity' are the primary factors in investigating a crime. Novitsky's insight adds powerfully to understanding motive in the murder of Paul Wellstone and seven others on that fateful plane. see snowshoefilms yoryevrah jane engstrom
American Assassination: The Strange Death of Senator Paul Wellstone- Four Arrows (aka Don Jacobs)
Source:
Senator Paul Wellstone was, the first 1960s radical elected to the U.S. Senate. In Senate Race 2002, the White House made defeating Wellstone priority #1. Karl Rove hand-picked arch Republican Norm Coleman to run against him. Despite massive funding, Coleman was trailing the popular Wellstone two weeks before election day.
Then, tragedy struck. On the morning of October 25th, 2002, Wellstone was killed after a mysterious communication cut-out and crash of his small aircraft. He died alongside his wife Sheila, their daughter Marcia, three staff members, and two pilots, while trying to land at Minnesota’s Eveleth airfield. CNN’s Wolf Blitzer insisted to his reporter at the scene that foul weather was the lethal factor in the crash, despite the statements to the contrary from the CNN correspondent. To this day, the public tends to blame the weather.
Ph.D. Professors James Fetzer and Don Four Arrows Jacobs present the harrowing truth. The plane was exceptionally airworthy. The weather didn’t bring down Senator Wellstone. Nor were the two pilots incompetent, as the report of the National Transportation Safety Board (NTSB) would eventually claim.
The facts point elsewhere. The FBI arrived at the remote rural crash scene less than two hours after the crash. Could they have known about it in advance? The FBI forbade the ambulance and fire teams to take photos. Even the AP photographer on hand was intimidated, delayed and then highly monitored. For some reason, a member of the U.S. Capitol Police Dignitary Protection Division was also present.
Why did the FBI state that they were treating the site as a crime scene although there were no indications of any criminal activity? How could the FBI so very swiftly conclude and state publicly, before NTSB arrived, that there was no evidence of terrorism involved? Why did the NTSB search for a black box for a day and a half and then conclude that there hadn't been one, after all?
AMERICAN ASSASSINATION confirms the worst fears of a nation. Senator Paul Wellstone was murdered.
Both authors are decorated university professors. A Native American, Four Arrows (a.k.a. Dr. Don Jacobs) teaches educational leadership and is a staunch critic of US foreign policy. Dr. Jim Fetzer is a published expert on U.S. political assassinations and the logic of science.
Although no one can prove exactly what happened in the events leading to Wellstone’s death, these two Ph.D.s point out the official story’s inconsistencies and deliberate omissions. With a methodical argument, they present evidence of an official cover-up, a compelling motive for Wellstone’s assassination and advance a more likely explanation for how Senator Wellstone's plane was taken down. Their findings include new evidence and alternative hypotheses that were never considered by the NTSB:
• There was never any distress call from the pilots. Communication was somehow cut off shortly before the crash.
• NTSB’s Carol Carmody handled the Wellstone case. A former CIA official, Carmody is a damage-control expert who handled the NTSB’s investigation of the suspicious aircraft crash of Democratic Senatorial candidate Mel Carnahan, exactly two years earlier.
• NTSB is legally mandated to take jurisdiction over a crash scene, yet it allowed the FBI to control the scene--and then neglected to cite the FBI’s involvement in presence in the NTSB's final report.
• Some witnesses heard the engines cutting out, a phenomenon not consistent with a stall.
• Others reported odd cell-phone and garage-door phenomena that were taking place about the same time the plane lost both communications and control.
• The NTSB's own simulations, which replicated properties like those of King Air A-100s under similar conditions, were unable to bring the plane down—even when conducted under abnormally slow speeds!
• One of the members who actually signed the report, Richard Healing, admitted that they really had no idea what had caused the plane to crash.
Since becoming active in this issue, local residents have contacted Professor Fetzer and related strange electronic interference in the area at the time of the crash. One experienced an odd cell-phone phenomenon with a form of static he had never heard before. Its auditory pattern appears to be similar to that of electro-magnetic pulse (EMP) weapons recently developed by the Pentagon to jam the computer-assisted controls of enemy aircraft.
Reports of garage doors that mysteriously opened in the immediate vicinity are surfacing. And radar images from the time of the plane crashes of Senator Carnahan and of Senator Wellstone are suggestive of EMP imprints. These weapons not only jam a plane's electronics but also disable its radio communications.
In the wake of the crash, 69% of Minnesoteans blamed a GOP Conspiracy for W

(Reuters) - Brazilian presidential candidate Eduardo Campos was killed in a plane crash on Wednesday, throwing the October election and local financial markets into disarray.
A private jet carrying Campos and his entourage crashed in a residential area in bad weather as it prepared to land in the coastal city of Santos. The accident killed all seven people on board, the Sao Paulo state fire department said.
Campos, 49, was running on a business-friendly platform and was in third place in polls with the support of about 10 percent of voters. While he was not expected to win the Oct. 5 vote, he was widely seen as one of Brazil's brightest young political stars and his death instantly changes the dynamics of the race.
The death of US Senator Paul Wellstone: accident or murder?
By the Editorial Board 29 October 2002
There is a serious question about the sudden death of Democratic Senator Paul Wellstone that has no doubt occurred to many people: was Wellstone the victim of a political assassination?
It is possible that there will emerge a credible explanation of the October 25 plane crash that killed Wellstone, his wife Sheila, daughter Marcia, and five others near Eveleth, Minnesota. Initial reports, however, are disturbing. None of the typical causes of a small plane accident—engine failure, icing, pilot error—appear to be involved.
The plane, a twin-engine Beechcraft King Air A100, was apparently in good condition when it hit the ground and exploded into flames about two miles from the Eveleth-Virginia airport in the Minnesota iron range.

10 Years Later, Wellstone Inspires Young Authors
Minnesota students are learning about history, not by reading a book, but by writing one. Over the past several years, seven middle schoolers have interviewed people who knew Senator Paul Wellstone and his wife Sheila, whose lives were cut short in a plane crash 10 years ago this week.
I didn't know who Paul Wellstone and Shelia Wellstone were before this book, said Sophia Morrissette, one of the co-authors of Be the Change: The Paul and Sheila Wellstone story.
Based on all these interviews I've learned what not only who they were, but what they stood for and what it means to do the right thing.
The 84-page book will be printed on October 25, 2012, the 10th anniversary of the plane crash.
Principles over politics
As the students interviewed Wellstone's family and friends, they learned Senator Wellstone put principles and people over politics.
David Wellstone, Paul and Sheila's son, told the students that his father made the difficult decision to vote against the Iraq war. He told me shortly before that he would lose the election most likely because of it. So he understood that you just do what you believe.
Researching Wellstone's life changed how Xavier Mansfield looks at the world. It made me believe that there are people in the world that can make a difference and aren't self-centered and care about the community and the world.
Co-author Siena Milbauer couldn't help but notice the stark contrast between how Wellstone campaigned and today's constant barrage of negative campaign ads. It's nice to see someone that just campaigned to say that he was good instead of saying his opponent was bad... and won on his own merits.
Ethan Davenport found Wellstone to be more authentic than those seeking political office today. Politics now... just everyone now is so big and showy. It just seems almost fake. And he was a lot more real. He was like a real person. A regular guy.
Students Maya Knutson, Avinash Patel and Ora Battle also helped with the interviews and writing.
To get the book done in time, the students split up writing the chapters which covered how Paul Wellstone got started in politics as well as his work on mental health legislation and how Sheila Wellstone advocated against domestic violence. Author Mikki Morrissette, who happens to be the mother of one of the students, served as the editor.
