Exploring Nami Island and Petite France in South Korea || Pamela Arana
Spending my birthday in South Korea is a dream come true. For that reason, because I wanted to make my birthday even more special, I went on a quick trip to Gapyeong-gun, a county located two hours away from Seoul. There are many activities to do in Gapyeong where you can enjoy the great weather and beautiful landscapes. I discovered the beauty of Namiseom Island and the picturesque architecture of Petite France.
After going back to Seoul, I visited Myeongdong district aka. The shopping meca of the city. Since it was my birthday, I couldn’t resist the shopping temptations so I went a little crazy and bought lots of things.
Do you wanna know what I got? Keep on watching my Seoul series cause I made a very nice haul video of everything I purchased in South Korea. I can’t wait to show it to you! :D
I still have a few days left in Korea, so please look forward to my future adventures in this amazing country!

Làng Pháp nằm cách Seoul khoảng 2 tiếng đi xe, đây là một ngôi làng đấy lãng mạn và thơ mộng. mang tên của nhân vật truyện tranh nổi tiếng Hoàng Tử Bé. Đến đây, bạn có thể dễ dàng tìm thấy được những bức tranh, bức tượng về chàng hoàng tử này. Trong quần thể ngôi làng gồm có 16 tòa nhà trưng bày rất nhiều những hiện vật mang đậm phong cách Pháp như đồ ăn, quần áo, đồ lưu niệm, đồ trang trí trong gia đình...Làng Pháp đẹp nhất có lẽ là vào mùa xuân khi trăm hoa đua nở, ngôi làng vốn rất yên tĩnh như bừng tỉnh dậy sau kỳ nghỉ đông dài, lộng lẫy với muôn ngàn sắc hoa như trong chuyện cổ tích.

Want to go on a relaxing escapade from the busyness of Seoul? Visit the Gapyeong Island!
Tourists would normally just visit Namiseom and Petite France, especially after Winter Sonata and My Love from the Star were shot there. However, I can personally say that Gangchon Rail Bike and the Garden of Morning Calm are both must visit places in your itinerary! Views on this island were definitely breathtaking.
We booked our tour through However, I must say that our trip to the Nami Island was quite short, so we would definitely want to go back and maybe even bike around the island! Truly, I am amazed by the nature scenery that South Korea has to offer. Ever since my family and I went to Jeju, we undoubtedly can say that if you are a nature lover, it’s time to visit Korea!
*You could also commute to the island and ride the bus that goes around Gapyeong, but it may be quite a tiring journey.

Garden of the Morning Calm (아침고요수목원). was conceptualized by Professor Han Sang-kyung (Gardening Department, Sahmyook University) while he was serving as an exchange professor in America. His vision was to create a garden that would become world-famous and spread the concept of Korean beauty throughout the world.

Hi! Back in March, we finally got to visit the Garden of Morning Calm, which we've been itching to visit for almost a year now. We were afraid we wouldn't be able to get back to Seoul in time but everything worked out in the end!
