Today the building is a branch of the Kraków Historical Museum, recreated to look as it did during Nazi occupation, which through traditional and multimedia displays, and extensive testimonials from both Poles and Jews, describes life in the Kraków Ghetto & how he risked everything & also wrote a very detailed account of his experience.

The Historical Museum of the City of Kraków in Kraków, Lesser Poland, was granted the status of an independent institution in 1945.Originally, it was a branch of the Old Records Office of Kraków, in operation from 1899.The Museum's main location is the baroque Krzysztofory Palace.

The Pharmacy of the Krakow ghetto
Tadeusz Pankiewicz, a pharmacist in Krakow stayed in the Krakow ghetto as the only non-Jewish resident during the German occupation. He didn't want to leave. He was offered another pharmacy outside the ghetto, confiscated from a Jewish family. He rejected, and stayed, helping everyone he could during the horror of the Holocaust. This is his story.

Аптека музей «Под чёрным орлом» Львов. Pharmacy Museum Under the Black Eagle
Музей и до сих пор действующая аптека — самая старая из всех существующих аптек Львова.
Действующая с 1735 года, аптека сегодня открывает двери не только для приобретения необходимых лекарственных препаратов, но и для ознакомления с историей фармации в Украине. Основал аптеку во Львове военный фармацевт Наторп, назвав ее «Под черным орлом», так как на входе в помещение находилась табличка с изображением этой птицы. В 1966 году состоялось открытие музея, созданного на базе аптеки.
В небольшом, на первый взгляд, здании, расположились 16 залов, собравших более трех тысяч экспонатов, начиная от фармацевтических весов разных размеров, заканчивая средневековыми гербариями. Даже непримечательные колбочки и баночки таят свои старинные истории, о которых поведают экскурсоводы. Сохранились образцы запатентованных в те времена лекарств, собрана целая библиотека старинных книг. В подвальном помещении удалось восстановить интерьер первой четверти XVIII века, внутренний двор представляет собой жилой дом XVI-XVII веков.
Сегодня эта достопримечательность является государственным музеем, в котором, как в обычной аптеке, до сих пор изготавливают препараты по рецептам.

The Archaeology Museum located in the heart of the Krakow Old Town is one of the oldest institutions of this type in Poland. It was established in 1850 and has today over 500,000 items of historic heritage including some remarkable artefacts ranging from the Palaeolithic Period to modern times. The Museum is home to Swiatowit statue, a four-faced 8-foot-tall stone idol considered the world's only unearthed Slavonic god.

OSKAR SCHINDLER FACTORY TOUR / KRAKOW / POLAND ????????/ ENAMEL FACTORY
Housed in the former administrative building of Oskar Schindler factory, Emalia, is a museum that tells the story of Schindler and the Jewish prisoners of Plaszow who were the inspiration for Steven Spielberg's hit movie, Schindler's List.
Empty Chairs
The empty chairs in this square are a memorial to Jews rounded up and murdered by the Nazis during World War II. The memorial is located in the heart of what at the time was the Jewish Ghetto. The area was known as Podgorze Ghetto and it's located in Krakow, Poland.
The memorial consists of 33 large illuminated chairs placed in rows across the square and 37 smaller ones along the edges of the square and at the tram stops.
The chairs symbolize the furniture of Jews thrown out of windows onto the street as the German SS assembled them in the square to transport them to Auschwitz and Birkenau concentration camps. It's a very solemn and even chilling memorial.

In our final few hours in Krakow we visited The Jewish Museum.The museum is set out very smartly and some of the photo's are truly shocking and amazing at the same time.
This was a brilliant museum and i hope this video does it justice,I would highly recomend a visit here if you are lucky enough to visit Krakow.
