To check out some cool places in Chiang Mai & Chiang Rai, Thailand.
If you have time to join Loy Krathong Festival this year. Which will be celebrate on November, 13th 2019. You can check out our 3 days 2 nights plan ????
Day 1: Arrived in Chiangmai.
We checked in a boutique hotel in Nimman area.
Name The Nimman Hotel. The area name is Nimman, therefore, this area will have a lot of hotel have the word “Nimman” in it. So if you try to book a Grab car. Please make sure you have the exact address, otherwise you might end up at somewhere else, with the hotel name *almost* similar to your ????
We spent the night to walk around the Old Town area. Had some nice street food, and ride back to hotel with a tuk tuk.
You have to bargain for a good price.
But it worth trying, specially at night time. They ride fast, and with *no windows* transportation like this. Wind in your hair, a little *need for speed* definitely will make you feel like “Hell yeah, I’m officially off duty. I’m a traveller!”
Day 2: We booked a day tour to visit White Temple, Blue Temple & Black Museum in Chiang Rai. Then the tour continued with a cruise on Mekong River to The famous Golden Triangle (Thailand-Laos-Myanmar)
The tour guide will collect your passport, since you’ll get off the boat and enter Lao’s border area. He will ask if you want a stamp on passport for souvernir.
It depend on you if you want one. Otherwise they won’t stamp on your passport.
Day 3: The festival held for 3 days.
We chose the last day, since we read a lot of review say, they prefer to go on last day. Since there will be more people join for last chance, so therefore, more lantern.
And the more the merrier, right ????
To enjoy the festival to the fullest.
We advise you to join as a big crowd. Buy a ticket, get yourself a seat, and have plenty of good food, just like what we did.
They will have car pick you up at a big hotel, and will have car to drop you back there. Maximum 6 persons/ on a 9 seats car. It’s very comfortable.
Check out the ticket price & reservation on their website at chiangmaipopulartour.com
The ticket will sale fast on Setember and October, make sure to buy it beforehand ????????
Good luck ????

Traveling to Chiang Rai (เมืองเชียงราย), Northern Thailand
Chiang Rai (เมืองเชียงราย) is a city in northern Thailand that I’ve always wanted to visit, and finally I had a chance to go. Keep watching this video for all the details.
From Bangkok, I first bought a plane ticket with Bangkok Airways - it was also my first time to fly with Bangkok Airways, though I had heard good things about them before. Our flight was in the morning so we took a taxi in Bangkok to Suvarnabhumi International Airport to catch our flight. After we checked it, we headed to our gate, and were greeted by a nice little display of snacks and coffee and tea - not bad for just a one hour flight that cost less than $50! After eating some banana chips and a few cheese sandwiches, our flight to Chiang Rai was ready to board. On the flight Bangkok Airways served us even more food. It was a nice flight, and it took just one hour to fly from Bangkok to Chiang Rai.
After landing in Chiang Rai, we got our bag, and then took a taxi into town. Ying and had booked a hotel called Amarin Resort, as I needed a nice place to get some work done, and we were looking for a place to get some nice relaxation as well. I immediately loved the resort we were staying at - it was nice and extremely quiet, the grounds were nice and green, and our room was quite big in size and very comfortable. After checking into our hotel and relaxing for a bit, we then headed out to eat lunch at a famous northern Thai restaurant, which was actually located just a 5 minute walk from our hotel, known as Lu Lam. We ordered a number of different Thai dishes, including one of my favorite northern Thai foods, lab khua, minced pork with lots of spices. The entire meal was quite wonderful, and it was a delicious first meal in Chiang Rai. I also loved that the restaurant was located right along the river, offering a lovely and peaceful atmosphere.
During the summer, the sun in Chiang Rai is intensely hot, especially in the middle of the day. So after lunch, we decided to head back to the hotel and I needed to get some work done. I wrote some blogs before we headed out again in the afternoon at about 4 pm when the sun was toned down quite a bit. We headed into Chiang Rai town, and our first stop was to walk around the Chiang Rai clock tower, an incredibly intricate and ornate golden clock tower, sort of the landmark of downtown Chiang Rai city. We then continued walking, and soon found ourselves in the evening central market, a vibrant display of all things northern Thai food. I wanted to actually eat everything I saw, but I was actually still quite full from the delicious lunch we had eaten not too long before. I ended up buying some avocados and some passion fruit, two of my favorite natural things.
After walking around the local food market, we then headed over to check out the Chiang Rai night bazaar. It turned out to be a little on the touristy side, not so much my style, but it could be a good place to go if you travel to Chiang Rai and are looking to buy some souvenir. There’s a food court at the Chiang Rai night bazaar, so we stopped there for a quick and light bite to eat. I ordered a dish called jim jum, which is basically the Thai street food version of a hot pot. We got a pot of soup boiling in a clay pot, accompanied by a basket of vegetables, an egg, and some chicken, and then we just boiled everything together. It wasn’t the best meal of my life, it was alright, but I just wanted to eat something for dinner that wasn’t too heavy or meaty - as I had eaten quite a huge lunch!
My first day traveling from Bangkok to Chiang Rai was a wonderful day. I immediately fell in love with Chiang Rai, how peaceful it is, and I really love the northern Thai culture and the food.
Thank you for watching this travel vlog, hope you enjoyed it!

Sai Ua (ไส้อั่ว) - Thai Herb Sausage at Ton Payom Market (ตลาดต้นพยอม), Chiang Mai
Sai ua is a seriously tasty northern Thai sausage. Get more details about this place here:
Sai ua (ไส้อั่ว) is northern Thai sausage, and one of the serious gems of northern Lanna cuisine - it’s something I really look forward to eating when I take a trip to the north of Thailand. The sausage is famous especially in Chiang Mai and Chiang Rai. Sai ua (ไส้อั่ว) is much more than just a sausage, it’s an herb infused, spicy sauce, that’s absolutely packed with flavor and fragrance.
In Chiang Mai, you’ll find tons of vendors selling sai ua (ไส้อั่ว), everyone with their slightly own unique recipe. The basic ingredients that go into the sausage are ground pork, lemongrass, galangal, kaffir lime leaves, chilies, and then a handful of other dry seasoning and spices. I’ve had quite a few different version in Chiang Mai, some of them are more fatty and more porky, while others are more herb filled and spicy. It all sort of depends on your personal preference which version you like and for myself it sort of depends on the mood I’m in. Most of the time I tend to prefer the herb filled version of sai ua (ไส้อั่ว).
Where should I get sai ua (ไส้อั่ว) in Chiang Mai? There are many places scattered throughout Chiang Mai that are extremely famous for making delicious sausage. It’s available at street food stands, at markets, and often at northern Thai restaurants as well. In Thailand, if you’re from Bangkok and you visit Chiang Mai, you cannot return home without bringing some northern Thai sausage with you; You family would not be happy. Warorot Market, located in the center of Chiang Mai is a famous place that many people go to buy their supply of sai ua. But there’s another famous, maybe a little more local of a market, called Ton Payom Market (ตลาดต้นพยอม) that is also known for its many sai ua (ไส้อั่ว) vendors. I think there were about ten different places to choose from, so after some contemplation we just had to choose a place. We chose Sai Ua La Wan (ร้านไส้อั่วลาวัลย์).
You’ll know there’s sai ua (ไส้อั่ว) available when you notice a big coil of meat sitting on the table. They normally have it ready to go, you buy by the kilo, and then they’ll wrap it up and prepare it for you to take away. There are other places where they heat it up for you to eat right there, but at this place it was more of a takeaway spot.
The sausage at Sai Ua La Wan (ร้านไส้อั่วลาวัลย์) was sort of inbetween the really herb filled version and the meaty kind. It had good meatiness to it, but it was also nice and spice filled. I thought it was quite a good balance. I probably prefer the more heavily herb flavored versions, but I still thought the sai ua (ไส้อั่ว) at Sai Ua La Wan (ร้านไส้อั่วลาวัลย์) was good.
If you’re ever in Chiang Mai, sai ua (ไส้อั่ว) is something you need to try. It’s one of the most flavorful sausages ever.

Travel to the #Arts of Thailand -- The Carver of Chatree Panyamung
Wood carving is a form of working wood, a cutting tool (knife) in one hand or a chisel by two hands or with one hand on a chisel and one hand on a mallet, resulting in a wooden figure or figurine, or in the sculptural ornamentation of a wooden object. Individual sculptures, to hand-worked mouldings composing part of a tracery. The nature of the wood being carved limits the scope of the carver in that wood is not equally strong in all directions. A wood carver begins a new carving by selecting a chunk of wood the approximate size and shape of the figure. The type of wood is important. Hardwoods are more difficult to shape but have greater luster and longevity. Softer woods may be easier to carve, but are less resistant to damage. Any wood can be carved but they all have different qualities and characteristics.
