Travel Photography in New Orleans
Be sure to check out to see the images from this video in New Orleans
One of my favourite places to visit in the United States is New Orleans. There's just something about that city that gets me wound up and excited. However, in the past, I've been far too excited partying and drinking to go out and do some travel photography. Thus, this year when I made my trip to New Orleans I made sure that I would avoid the liquor and focus on getting some shots. In particular, I really worked on shooting some good street photography in New Orleans. I don't get nearly enough chances to shoot street photography, so I went all out in the city.
This trip to New Orleans also included visits to a swamp, and the Oak Alley Plantation.

OUR STORY
We are Josh and Kali from Seattle, Washington. In 2015 we decided to change our lives. We sold everything we owned bought a RV and a truck starting living in our RV full time in 30 days! Full time rv living was a major change for us. We hadn't made any plans to change to this rv life until one day it hit us we couldn't have the American Dream and travel to. Choosing to travel meant downsizing our life and becoming minimalists. It was the BEST decision we have ever made. Now we plan to travel non-stop in our 33ft. fifth wheel full time. New Orleans - St. Louis Cemetery No 1. Photo Trek
Enjoy a journey through the extraordinarily and eerily beautiful St. Louis Cemetery No. 1. Founded in 1789, it was the first of New Orleans' famous above ground cities of the dead. There are several interesting photos in the album. The photo of the pyramid is Nicholas Cages' nine foot high crypt, which is at his disposal when needed. The white tomb you will see (there are two photos) is of the famous Voodoo Queen Marie Laveau's final resting place. Her tomb is marked with a series of three X's from individuals who have come to her tomb to beseech her for help. There is a photo of an old tomb, also marked with a series of X's. Is this the final resting place of another, though less well known, Voodoo priest or priestess? Just click on the video to be transported to New Orleans' first above ground city of the dead.
