Phuket Cooking Academy, Thailand
Phuket Thai Cooking Academy was such a fun experience. Starting off with a quick tour of the market that allowed us to learn more of the culture as well as the food Thailand has to offer. Upon the arrival at the school, we were greeted with refreshments and a traditional dessert. This was nice because we would have never purchased or tasted either on our own in fear of not knowing what it was. We made a total of 5 dishes!! More than any other class I’ve taken before. They explained each ingredient and had just the right amount of hands on cutting and cooking. The end result was the BEST thai food we’ve ever had!! This held up the rest of the trip. It honestly was the best meal of the entire trip. We had a blast and would highly recommend to take a cooking class in every country you visit! It’s one of my fav things to do! PHUKET Travel Vlog | Beaches, Thai Cooking & Eating Bugs!
I spent a great week in Phuket with three nights at BYD Lofts Boutique Hotel & Serviced Apartments in Patong and the other four in Karon. I checked out the beaches, worked and did an amazing Kata Thai Cooking Class by Sally. We started first at a local market where I tried bugs (yuck!) before heading back to cook up a storm. I made a chicken stir-fry dish, red curry, pad thai and finished with mango sticky rice - my fave! My next vlog will be coming soon from Chiang Mai so make sure you're subscribed and leave me a comment and thumbs up if you liked this video :)

Thai Cooking Class at J.W. Marriott Phuket Resort & Spa - Thailand
The J.W. Marriott Phuket Resort & Spa is located just 15 minutes away from the Phuket International Airport amidst 11 hectares (27 acres) of exquisite tropical gardens with three swimming pools, freshwater ponds and natural preserved coastal wetlands overlooking the Andaman Sea on beautiful Mai Khao Beach. On offer is their Ginja Cook Thai Cooking class which was featured on Capital TV as produced by Bryan Hall. Co-producer and host later took the class and reported, Experiencing the class is far different than reading about it or dropping by for a sneak peak. In addition to being fun, for me the course was empowering, as I absolutely love Thai food and had no idea it is rather simple to prepare.

A walk around Kata Beach Night Market Phuket Thailand. Unfortunately this market has closed since I made the video. There is a similar market not far away at the Karon Temple. It’s open every Tuesday and Friday from about 4pm till 10pm at the temple on Patak Road in Karon Beach Phuket Thailand. The Google Maps coordinates for the Karon Temple Market are:
Ката Бич. Karon Night Market is well worth a visit if you're having holidays in Phuket. It's got a great mix of local and touristy stuff, with plenty of shopping for clothes, souvenirs and lots of other stuff, as well as authentic Thai cuisine and Thai street food. There are all sorts of prepared and cooked foods as well as loads of fresh fruit & vegetables available.
Thai street food is everywhere in Thailand. It’s cheap and it is really delicious, all the food is cooked fresh as the vendors sell it, it’s some of my favourite Thai cuisine, and there is so much variety of street food in Thailand! Thai Street Food is a must to try if you’re on holidays in Thailand, and there’s loads of street food in Phuket!

I’ve been eating it for 3 years in Thailand and my friends who have been to visit and tour Thailand have all eaten it, and none of us have had any problems. Thai street food is some of the best Thai food in Thailand. And best of all, the food is cheap, often much cheaper than eating in a Thai restaurant. At The Market Kata Beach Phuket Thailand
At The Market Kata Beach Phuket Thailand
One of my favorite activities in Phuket is go to the open markets, the open markets are really fun to visit, if you love fresh veggies, seafood and fruits this is the place to go.
Markets are located all over Phuket at different locations throughout the week. My favorite is the one here, which is located in Kata Beach. I run into a lot of Phuket chefs when I go to the market, quite a few of the restaurants in Phuket pick out there fresh produce for cooking.
Have you ever been to a Phuket open market? If you haven't, please do so, they are a lot of fun to visit and you can really see some of Thailand's most famous foods. Yeah, you can just go to the local grocery store and get just about everything you need, but nothing beats an open market experience.
Open markets are located all over Phuket on any given day; you just have to do your research. Once you get to the market it is very easy to get overwhelmed, but think of it as saving a bunch of cash and really getting some fresh food, you could literally saves hundreds of Baht by using the market.
So my advice to you is, when you are in Phuket, find an open market and enjoy all the wonderful foods from Thailand, it really is a joy.
Thank you so much for stopping by and check back often for more of my Phuket videos. Do you love Phuket as much as I do? Check out my new addition to Phuketdining.com; the Phuket Dreamer where you will see tons more pictures and stories about this wonderful Island in paradise.
Sincerely,
