The St.Petersburg Pier, St. Petersburg Florida, Pinellas County, (Sony HX 200v)
The St. Petersburg Pier, simply called The Pier by locals, is a landmark and major tourist destination in downtown St. Petersburg, Florida. Some of the activities and sights it encompasses include fishing, boat rentals, weekly festivals, and the Pier Aquarium. Shopping, dining and nightlife are other amenities.[1]
Besides the attractions it is known for its five-story inverted pyramid shape overlooking Tampa Bay.[2][3] The aquarium is located on the second floor, with a branch of Ybor City's famed Columbia Restaurant[4] on the fourth floor and Cha Cha Coconuts Tropical Bar and Grill on the fifth floor. The first floor includes a Concierge Center, specialty shops and galleries, Waterside Grill & Bar, and the Dockside Eatery food court with burgers, pizza, ice cream and Chinese. Local bands are featured in Courtyard by the Bay every Sunday afternoon.
On August 18, 2010, after a workshop lasting two hours, the St. Petersburg City Council accepted Mayor Bill Foster's recommendation to demolish the current Pier building in a straw-poll vote, 5-3; what would replace it was not clear.[5] The binding vote, 7--1, was taken at an August 26 meeting

Dolphins feeding in St Pete, FL
This video is about Dolphins and Pelicans using team work to catch fish. They were feeding in shallow water of the North Yacht Basin in downtown St Petersburg, FL. It was the late afternoon of March 14, 2015. More than once the dolphins would swim past us while tipped on their sides, it seemed they were looking at us. As if to check that we were watching the show? The feeding went on for more than 30 minutes. The HD video was taken with an iPhone 6

Weedon Island Kayak Trail & Mangrove Tunnels - St Petersburg, FL
See Through Canoeing through the mangrove tunnels at Weedon Island in St. Petersburg, FL. We had the whisper quiet motor on the canoe. The trail is well marked with numbered signs along the way. The 2nd half of the trail is still in sheltered water, but the trail opens up and there's always a good chance of seeing dolphin or manatees on this part of the kayak trail. It is best paddled at 1' or higher above mean tide.
Ride down St. Pete Beach, St Petersburg, Florida, Pinellas County, (Sony HX 200v)
St. Pete Beach is a coastal city in Pinellas County, Florida, United States, famous for its status as a tourist destination. St. Pete Beach was formed from the towns of Pass-a-Grille, Don CeSar, Belle Vista, St. Petersburg Beach and unincorporated Pinellas County. At the time of its incorporation in 1957, its name was St. Petersburg Beach. However, just about everyone referred to it as St. Pete Beach, and, on March 9, 1994, locals voted to officially change the name to the shorter version to distinguish it from the city of St. Petersburg a few miles to the east. The population was 9,346 at the 2010 census.[3]
St. Pete Beach's downtown is centered around Corey Avenue. This district contains many bars, restaurants and shopping popular with both tourists and locals. The historic Don CeSar beach resort is located in the city

Places to see in ( St Petersburg - USA )
Places to see in ( St Petersburg - USA )
St. Petersburg is a city on Florida's gulf coast, part of the Tampa Bay area. It's known for its pleasant weather (hence its “Sunshine City” nickname), making it popular for golfing, boating, fishing and beachgoing. Its waterfront parks host the Dali Museum, featuring surrealist works of art; the Museum of Fine Arts, with works ranging from ancient to contemporary; and Mahaffey Theater, home of the Florida Orchestra.
Saint Petersburg is located at the base of the Tampa Bay peninsula in Pinellas County, Florida, and enjoys a more subdued social atmosphere than its larger cousin, Tampa. The city has tried to characterize the downtown as an arts and entertainments destination and you will find no shortage of arts and crafts stores, galleries, and museums along with cafes and boutique food shops all within a couple blocks of the Tampa Bay waterfront. With water on three sides of the city, St. Pete is a superb location for fishing, sailing, and wandering beaches.
Saint Petersburg was founded by John C. Williams from Detroit, Michigan, who purchased the land in 1876. The town began with the help of Peter Demens, who was instrumental in bringing a railroad connection there in 1888. Saint Petersburg was named after the Saint Petersburg in Russia, the birthplace of Peter Demens. A local legend says that John C. Williams and Peter Demens flipped a coin to see who would have the honor of naming the city. Peter Demens won and named the city after his birthplace, while John C. Williams named the first hotel after his birthplace, Detroit. The Detroit Hotel still exists downtown, but it was converted into condos in 2002.
The city publishes the free Downtown St.Petersburg Guide & Map booklet, updated each season, that contains maps, trolley routes, and listings for hundreds of museums, events, restaurants, & hotels along with coupons. You can find the guide in dispensers throughout downtown and in many businesses.
Long known as little more than a bawdy spring-break party town and a retirement capital, St Petersburg is now forging a new name for itself as a culturally savvy southern city. Spurred on by awe-inspiring downtown murals, a revitalized historic district and the stunning Dalí Museum, the downtown energy is creeping up Central Ave, spawning sophisticated restaurants, craft breweries, farmers markets and artsy galleries, all of which are attracting a younger professional crowd and a new wave of culturally curious travelers.
