Pine Lake ( Great Short Walk # 43 )
Pine Lake Walk is one of the 60 Great Short Walks in Tasmania - number 43.
Located about halfway between Deloraine and Liawenee, up on the Great Lakes Plateau, it is a beautiful location and walk.
It is only 400 metres each way and is fully boardwalked.
On the day we chose to do the walk it was bitterly cold, plus we had the added bonus on being in a big snow storm, to make the vistas even more beautiful.

The Most Beautiful Lake in Tasmania? | Camping and Fishing in Lake Pedder 2019
As the weather has warmed up we decided to head out to Lake Pedder about 2 hours from Hobart to have a couple of nights camping and try to catch a few fish. We didn't get the fish we had hoped for but what we did get was three days of absolutely amazing scenery and some incredible views. This National park has quickly become one of my favorite places I have been to. Lake Pedder and Lake Gordon are located within a national park and there are facilities at Strathgordon. There are heaps of free camps around with great facilities.

Great Lake Tasmania
This video shows the low water levels in the Great Lake in Tasmania at the end of March 2016. Tasmania is facing an energy crisis with dam levels falling below 14% and the Basslink Cable not functioning due to a fault.
Pine Tier Lagoon Trout Fishing Tasmania
In this video dad and I head up to a small highland lake in hopes of catching a good bag of fish. Pine Tier Lagoon is mostly known for being filled to the brim with small brown and rainbow trout. Combined dad and I had 20 follows and six strikes, most of these from small fish, Pine Tier Lagoon is a good place to fish if you want to land your first trout, or just want a high catch rate.

GREAT LAKE, TASMANIA
This is just a quick video with imagery from a trip to the great lake and Tasmanian highlands. my Saturday afternoon. Passing through the lake and highland regions of Tasmania. Considering it was a beautiful sunny winters day there was snow in the hills which is not uncommon.
The distance from the town of Deloraine and then around the lake is approximately 190 kilometres.
