From MraukU to Sittwe by boat

Sittwe town is situated in the south west of Myanmar close to the border with Bangladesh. It was the site of recent troubles with the Rohingha people. The situation is quieter now. Unfortunately the Rohingha are housed in camps on the outskirts of town guarded by the military. MraukU is an ancient capitol some 7 hours up river from Sittwe.
