Yakushima (屋久島) is an island off the southern coast of Kyushu and part of Kagoshima Prefecture, Japan. The island is covered by an extensive cedar forest (nearly 90%) that contains some of Japan's oldest living trees. That`s why some areas were declared as a Natural World Heritage Site. The island has a rich nature with Jōmon Sugi trees that are older than 1000 years, a beautiful sea, waterfalls, wild monkeys, deer etc. Surrounded by this unique nature, our presenter Sam could completely relax body, mind and soul.
