The Ponte Vedra Concert Hall is North Florida's most intimate and acoustically stunning indoor music venue. Located in the heart of Ponte Vedra Beach, the Concert Hall is just 15 minutes south of Jacksonville Beach at 1050 A1A North, Ponte Vedra Beach, FL.
The Concert Hall is owned and operated by St. Johns County Cultural Events Division, who also own and operate the St. Augustine Amphitheatre in St. Augustine, FL!

Canary in The Coal Mine - Ponte Vedra Concert Hall - Ponte Vedra, Fl 8- 14- 2015
Oh, myyyy..what apleasant surprise she & they were......
Canary in the Coalmine is an Americana-Folk band fronted by songwriter Jessica Pounds. A haunting quality underscores striking vocal harmonies that provide a focal point for the band’s Appalachian folk and alt country influences.
The band has completed work on their first full length album, produced by Matt Grondin, and officially released it in March of 2015.
Canary in the Coalmine has garnered local and regional acclaim from sources such as EU Magazine, NPR, Folio Weekly and many others. The band can be found on the festival and club circuit in the southeast and beyond.
Jessica is proud to have joined forces with some of Jacksonville’s finest musicians.
Peter Mosely
Upright Bass and Backing Vocals
Peter is a songwriter and guitarist for veteran Jacksonville punk band Inspection 12 and was the bassist and writer for Capitol Records recording artists Yellowcard from 2000-2007. He is currently a composition student at Jacksonville University, and lends his talents to many other projects based around JU’s curriculum and student body.
Philip Pan
Violin
Philip received his BM and MM from the Juilliard School and currently serves as Concertmaster for the Jacksonville Symphony Orchestra. He performs and records many styles of music on acoustic and electric violin including classical, folk, country, jazz, pop and rock.
Arvid Smith
Dobro, Mellobar, Mandolin and Guitars
For over 30 years Arvid Smith has been working in and out of the musical box performing on a variety of stringed instruments and settings. From the main stage at bluegrass festivals to soundscapes at Rasa Yoga meet ups, his eclectic approach is always in service to the music.
Eric Bailey
Drums/Percussion
The youngest member of the band, Eric has quickly made a name for himself in Northeast Florida as an adaptable, musically sensitive drummer who is able to support and elevate the music. He can be found recording and performing with Canary in the Coalmine and many other regional artists.

What a treat to hear Jim Miller's ( formerly of Donna the Buffalo ) voice again. Sorry I missed the beginning of the first song but I had some grandkids with me and, not surprisingly, we were at the merch booth when they started playing. :-)

I really like this venue and am thankful for the help and hospitality of the staff & volunteers. This was originally a church and not built with acoustics as the primary concern. As such, the sound seems to suffer a bit as you get towards the back, which is where we could best safely set up. But when you get part or all of the way up to the stage...Oh, yeah !
Highlights of this show for me were- If You Only Could, Right on Time, Me & Depression, Times are Bad ( Phil's B'day request )and All Aboard.

Last month Willie Green and John Hammond played their first show together in twelve years at the Ponte Vedra Concert Hall. Green will also be playing at the Springing the Blues Festival this year in April. Green was recently nominated for the Florida Folklife Heritage Award, an honor given by the State of Florida to select folk artists whose legacy will have a lasting impact on our cultural history.

Sun drenched flying nun influenced pop with sweet licks that'll stick with you for days.
The Courtneys drift back to the sound of the early '90s while reflecting a fun-in-the-sun west coast mentality. They deliver a special blend of fuzzy slacker pop that draws comparisons to Sonic Youth, Dinosaur Jr, and The Clean. The musicianship is tight, the hooks are sharp, and the songcraft is dynamic. Courtney Loove's dreamy guitar riffs add a timeless pop element to the punk backbone formed by Sydney Koke's heavy driving basslines, and drummer/lead singer Jen Twynn Payne's snare kick combos. Their music videos have aired on MuchMusic and Rage, and the track 90210 was featured in an episode of MTVs Awkward in May 2013.

4/6 Lucius - Go Home @ Ponte Vedra Concert Hall, FL 5/16/14
Lucius is a five piece indie pop band from Brooklyn, New York, consisting of *Jess Wolfe (lead vocals and synth), Holly Laessig (lead vocals and keys), Dan Molad (drums and vocals), Peter Lalish (guitar and vocals) and Andrew Burri (guitar, drums, vocals).
Lucius has been lauded by the New York Times for their luscious, luminous, lilting lullabies, praised by NPR for their charisma and charm. and by Rolling Stone as the best band you may not have heard yet.
Mom + Pop Music released the band's debut album Wildewoman in North America on 15 October 2013. Play It Again Sam released Wildewoman in UK/Europe, Australia and Japan on 31 March.
The Guardian featured Lucius as its New Band Of The Day on Feb 14th 2014 and described them as the missing link between Arcade Fire and Haim... How can they fail? They won't.
