POONCH FORT
Poonch Fort or Poonch Qila is considered to be one of the historically rich castles of Jammu and Kashmir, India. Located at the town of Poonch in the district of same name of the state, the fort was built by Raja Rustam Khan between 1760 and 1787. The architecture of the fort is hugely influenced by the Mughal style of architecture. It was Raja Moti Singh who was so amazed with the architecture of the fort that he kept on renovating it for 40 years. Once, he had hired European architect to beautify the palace in European style of architecture. Now, it has gained importance as one of the attractive tourist destinations of the Poonch.

It is located on the southern slope, Valley and Glens of the Pir Panchal range which divides Kashmir Valley from Jammu Province in the southern and south-western side.

Located among magnificent snow-capped hills and vast mountains, Poonch is a beautiful tourist destination. It has a number of beautiful lakes and winding streams. Poonch is known for producing delicious fruits at its dense forests. There are also some ancient historical monuments here. This makes Poonch district a place for an excellent vacation.

Mubarak Mandi is a palace in Jammu, India. The palace was the royal residence of the Maharaja of Jammu and Kashmir from the Dogra dynasty. It was their main seat till 1925 when Maharaja Hari Singh moved to the Hari Niwas Palace in the northern part of Jammu. The palace is located in the heart of the old walled city of Jammu and overlooks the Tawi river.

A trip to Hari Parbat Kashmir Fort Part 1
Hari Parbat, or Koh-e-Maran, is a hill overlooking Srinagar, the largest city and summer capital of Jammu and Kashmir. It is the site of the Durrani Fort and has a notable religious dimension for the Hindus, Muslim and Sikhs alike, hosting a famous Hindu temple, two shrines of locally venerated Muslim saints and a Sikh gurdwara.
The first fortifications on the site were constructed by the Mughal emperor Akbar in 1590 who built an outer wall for the fort as part of his plans for a new capital called Nager Nagor. The project, however, was never completed. The present fort was built in 1808 under the reign of Shuja Shah Durrani.
